Birthday Girl

September 1, 2020

Hello E.C.D. lovers, It’s September already!

My dear friend’s birthday is coming up and that should be celebrated.

It’s still hard in this time with the Covid virus holding on but with the two of us we should be able to celebrate.

I didn’t make a card for her, but a really nice home deco.

I’m not showing that yet, but I’m going to show you the packaging around it.

A bald bag like that is nothing, so there had to be something nice about it.

With the envelope from the side kick planner essentials I made a one of a kind tag.

On top of the envelope I taped one of the lovely girls from the ART collection. She’s colored with the watercolor palette from E.C.D.

The tag is made with the birthday sentiments set. There is also a die set that matches the stamps, Labels 1.

The piece of fabric is blank but I gave it a layer of Distress Ink.

The “happy birthday” comes from my own collection, which got a layer of alcohol ink.

The tag on this site is also from the birthday sentiments set.

Everything is stamped with black ink and then edited with Distress Ink.

The charm also got a little alcohol ink.

In the envelope I put a little card and……of course a mini banner that I made with Planner essentials set 23 and 27.

I colored the banners, made of  soft finish cardstock, with different colors of Distress Ink and than stamped the little banners with black versafine and stamp set CS147.

Everything got a little black accents that I made with the stamp sets CS146 & CS147

I tied this to the bag with a big ribbon. No more fuss because that’s IN the bag!!

A successful packaging I think. It shows that the planner dies can be used for so many purposes and not just for your planner.

I hope I’ve been able to give you a little bit of inspiration again.

See you next time ?

Birthday Tag

June 12, 2015

Hello my crafty friends! It’s Raquel Mason here today. I’d like to show you a quick and easy way to make an interactive gift tag. If you have a white gift bag, you can even decorate the bag to match. Let’s get started!

ECD Bday tag

1.  Die cut the following pieces:

  • Tags & More 4 – Flourish – red cardstock 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and white cardstock 2″ x 4″
  • Tags & More 4 – Flourish 2 corners from Basic Black Shimmer Sheetz (not shown in photo below)
  • Candle (solid & overlay) from Basic Black  and Imperial Garnet Shimmer Sheetz that has Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive applied
  • Candle flame from Yellow Metallic Shimmer Sheetz that has Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive applied

2.  Using Tags & More 4- Flourish companion pieces (see photo below)

  • Die cut a slot into the tag near the bottom left corner.
  • Die cut 2 circle reinforcement from Imperial Garnet Shimmer Sheetz.

3.  Place “Happy Birthday” peel-off onto tag.  Tip: leave enough room to write “To” & “From”.

4.  Place a small piece of foam adhesive onto one circle reinforcement from step 2 and place it on the back side of tag into the slot.  Tip: make sure the foam adhesive slides easily in the open slot. Place the second circle reinforcement on top of the foam adhesive.

5.  Adhere Candle layers from step 1 together. Adhere to circle reinforcement.

6.  Adhere both corner pieces from step 1 to bottom corners of white tag.

7.  Place foam adhesive on the back of the white tag, avoiding the slot area. Adhere white tag to red tag.

8.  Add ribbon through hole on top.

9.  Watch the Candle move back and forth.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and feel inspired to try it out yourself.

Happy Crafting,

Raquel

Hydrangea for Lovely Tags

April 22, 2014

Good morning friends!

This is Rita again, and today I would like to share with you something new I created.

My last project was a sweet “Thank You” card with hydrangea Peel-off stickers and today it is time to create the matching  “Thank You” tag. Since I’m almost always looking for tags for birthday presents, I wanted to create a matching “Happy Birthday” tag as well. Make yourself a nice cup of coffee, sit back and we shall get started. And yes, I have my cup of coffee sitting here as well, best way to start our day.

1. Bring out your Hydrangea Peel-off stickers, double sided adhesive, Amethyst Gemstone, Green Metallic, Gold Metallic and Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz.

2. Peel off the release sheet of your double sided adhesive and attach the adhesive side to the Amethyst Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz.

3. Place the release sheet on your work surface and place your Peel-off sticker flowers upside down on the release sheet (sticky side up).

4. Place the adhesive side of the double-sided adhesive and Shimmer Sheetz combination onto the release sheet.

5. Turn your Shimmer Sheetz so that the release sheet is now on top. Take off the release sheet and make sure not to touch the adhesive. You have now transferred your outline sticker.

6. Cover the adhesive with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, shake off the extra glitter and simply use your finger to polish. This will allow the glitter to stick and remain on the double sided adhesive.

7. Using your craft scissors, fussy cut the hydrangea.

8. Place the Peel-off sticker leaves upside down on your work surface (sticky side up).

9. Place the Green Metallic Shimmer Sheetz over the leaves.

10. Using your craft scissors, fussy cut the leaves.

11. Color the hydrangea using your Copic markers to make the purple color turn darker.

12. Die cut your Gold Metallic and your Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz with the largest tag from the Tags die set.

13. Emboss the Shimmer Sheetz tags using the Lots of Dots and Swirly Curves embossing folders.

14. Die cut “Happy Birthday” and “Thank You”

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Hugs, Rita
