  • color the elements using Alcohol Markers
  • assemble the scarecrow using liquid glue

Step 3: Creating the Background

  • cut out a hill shape using the Adventure Edges 2 die set and kraft cardstock
  • add clouds with the help of a cloud stencil, Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass and a Blending Brush
  • stamp the sentiment from the Autumn Words stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

Step 4: Finishing Touches

  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • add a strip of brown foiled cardstock to the left and right of the panel before adhering it to the cardbase

Aloha Shaker Card

June 16, 2020

Hi there,

it’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this shaker card:

Step 1: Die Cutting

  • cut out three flowers and their add-ons – two from pink and yellow cardstock and one from a stitched panel cut from white cardstock – use the Stitched Rectangles and the Tropical Florals die sets
  • add some acetate behind the open flower window on the card panel with clear double-sided adhesive

Step 2: Adding Color

  • use Distress Ink (Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick) and a Blending Brush to add color to the die-cuts
  • add some splatters with watered-down Distress Ink too – Fossilized Amber to the flower stems and Peacock Feathers to the card panel

Step 3: Stamping the Sentiment and Assembly

  • stamp the sentiment from the Beach Sentiments set with Distress Oxide Ink (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) for an ombre look
  • create a shaker element behind the flower opening with double-sided foam adhesive and fill it with pink sequins
  • add a strip of pink cardstock and a strip of black and white patterned paper to the left side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,
