Hello everyone. Jackie here today sharing a jewellery box idea made from the book box die set. inside has two compartments, one for rings and one for loose jewellery. This would also make a lovely gift idea for a special occasion.
Step One:
Start by die cutting and building both parts of the book box keeping the two part separate for now.
Step Two:
Using the picture frame die set. Die cut two sides and trim off the angled ends, make sure they fit snugly inside the book box. glue them both in position leaving a tiny gap between that will fit the rings.
Step Three:
Create a magnetic catch. Glue a small piece of metal or magnetic sheet to the inside of one of the catch ends then cover over with a piece of card fussy cut to the same shape. Fix a small magnet to the other flap.
Step Four:
Glue the book box part inside the outer cover. Die cut the bee and decorate the lid using honeycomb, gems and what ever you fancy.
Step Five:
Use the fall out honeycomb pieces to add a button to the catch flap. Stack 4 or 5 pieces together then glue in place.
Step Six:
Decorate the inside in a similar theme then add a piece of gold coloured paper to the front compartment.
There would be lots of way to change the way I have created the inside of this box, you can add more ring parts or ever change the orientation. I hope I have inspired you to make your own jewellery box.
Happy crafting Jackie xx
