Merry And Bright Mini Slimline Card

September 20, 2021

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I have a Holiday card to share with you using the new Classic Christmas Special Kit. It is jam packed with dies and a stamp set to help with your holiday cards. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7″ x 6″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4″ x 5 3/4″. Apply Distress Oxide onto a craft mat and spray with water. Dip the trimmed cardstock into the ink. Heat set and repeat until you reach the desired effect. I used Distress oxide Salty Ocean, Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac. (Optional – Place a Snow stencil and add texture paste to create a snowfall). Let dry.

Step 3 – Stamp Holiday Sparkle sentiment using Versamark, sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool.

Step 4 – Diecut Ornament using Holographic Cardstock and snowflake using Mirrored Cardstock. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue. Adhere to panel using Foam Tape and adhere a Silver String. Then adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

This card is easy to mass produce. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

One Kit – Many Possibilities

September 18, 2021

Karen here today. I’m having such fun with the NEW Classic Christmas Special Kit. I made slimline cards using the included slimline die earlier, and today, I am sharing four A2 sized cards I made for Christmas using the dies.

The background die in this set is long enough to be used as background for a standard slimline die. On this first card, I backed the 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive before cutting it out. Then I adhered it to a piece of patterned paper and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die. From there, I added the ornament, snowflake and sentiment from the set and added some ribbon and gems.

This card was a little simpler and used some stitched circles of different patterned paper to add interest. The sentiment is stamped onto a Stitched Rounded Rectangle die and then cut off on the top.

For this card, I again adhered the background die to another piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock and then cut the ornament with it. I love the texture it added to the card. The only “new” die I used on this card (i.e. not used on previous cards) is the Fitted Rounded Rectangle.

And finally, I used the rest of the piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock with the background die on it and cut it with a Fitted Rounded Rectangle. Again, I love the texture that it adds.

There are so many fun possibilities with this set! Thanks for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen
