Merry Day After Christmas

December 26, 2022

Karen here hoping your Christmas Day was filled with love and good memories. There’s no better way to preserve those memories than in a scrapbook! Creating pages using the Planner Essentials line is easy and fun! Today’s pages are for Day 25 of my December Day-by-Day album! (I created these pages right before Christmas, so I’ll add pictures to them later…)

I used a Planner Essentials 55 (over a Planner Essentials 4) for the front of the page. How fun are these file folder pockets. I added a strip of paper to each of the tops of the pockets and dotted the bottom to make sure they stood out. I used the Library Pocket Filler Cards (one of them is cut down to fit the page) for the tags and added the small heart from the Gnomes set to keep the cards from slipping down. I’ll add pictures to the tags soon. And, of course, you can see that I added a sweet Gnome too! That fun ribbon is from a present someone wrapped for me. I didn’t yet open the present, but I had to steal the ribbon off of it.

On the back of the page is a space for more pictures along with a Stitched Circle and another Gnome. All of the paper I used on these pages is from the Christmas Lives Here set, except for this green snowflake paper. Of course, no page is complete without some fun reinforcements. (I’m addicted to them!)

December Day-by-Day

December 12, 2022

Karen here. I have SO much fun every year creating a day-by-day scrapbook for December using the fabulous Planner Essentials Line! What a treasure these scrapbooks are to look at in future years! This year, I’m getting a bit of a late go because I was on a road trip, but it sure does make the first few days easy to find pictures! I used Annette’s sidekick planner class for inspiration as well as the prompts provided in the ECD Planner Group on Facebook.

How SWEET is the new Santa Claus from Joset?! I used the Christmas Lives Here paper for the page base diecut from Planner Essentials 4 and added a panel (from that collection as well). The 2022 is from the FuN Alphabet Tabs collection. The word “days” is cut using the Planner Essentials 23 set.

The day 1 prompt is “Let the Fun Begin” and I sure did. The picture is when we had just started off on our road trip! The paper is again from the Christmas Lives here collection (that comes in the December Sidekick Class along with the Sidekick Essentials 25). The number, tab, circles and mittens are in the Sidekick Essentials collection.

Day 2’s prompt is “My Favorite Color.” When asked, I usually say “green” – but in this case, I was at the Grand Canyon on December 2, so I am using “Nature” as my favorite color. The Grand Canyon had amazing hues of tan, green, red, brown and grays. Beautiful! No page is complete without some reinforcements, in my humble opinion. I linked up all three amazing sets below.

December Daily – My Final Pages

January 29, 2022

Karen here. I’m excited today to be sharing my final pages for my December Daily. I got delayed due to some holiday travel and then came back from travel to having COVID. For those of you still working on your pages, all the encouragement to finish your treasure! My book is filled with the fun critters from Joset. I love that the Elizabeth Craft Designs lines can be used alone or together!

For my Day 26, I used the Planner Essentials 41 for my page base and for the tags. I decided to decorate this page with the adorable Owl. I love his little hat! I used Calendar Numbers for my numbering in my whole album. And of course, what page is complete without reinforcements from the Reinforcement Variety Packs 1 and 2.

Day 27 is on the back of Day 26, so the same products are used. I used the postcard from Ridgecrest to create a pocket. Inside the pocket is a “secret note” from the Planner Essentials 21 (Note Pieces) set. What a fun way to add just a bit of journaling.

On Day 28, I used the Planner Essentials 1 for the page base and added some Stitched Rounded Squares for the color on the page. To decorate this page from when we stayed in the house on vacation, I used the Holiday Birdhouse and just didn’t add the snow. I love the stamps in the Vacay Phrases and used it for the tab on this page.

I had such fun on December 29! I went out for an ATV ride in the desert with my parents and some of their friends. I love the beautiful Mojave desert and needed to use a few pictures for this page. The Planner Essentials 36 is perfect for this purpose. The sun is from the Farm Accessories set, and I also used the Cozy Days Stamps.

On Day 30, I went out geocaching on the ATV with my amazing, handsome father. Since we were just monkeying around that day, I thought that the cute Monkey die was perfect. The page base here is Planner Essentials 4.

On Day 31, my boyfriend joined me, so I kept this page simple and added a note about him with a die from the Planner Essentials 21.

I created a video for all my pages. Take a look if you want to. On my blog are all the details about each page if you want to check it out.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Gnomes for the Holidays

November 20, 2021

Karen here today! I absolutely adore Joset’s new release! They are available NOW at your local craft store and should soon be available on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website. So fun for holiday projects. In the past couple years, I have really enjoyed doing a December Daily Journal using the Planner Essentials line, so I decided to combine the two for today’s post.

The first page I made will be the cover page for my December Daily album. It uses the Planner Essentials 4 for a page base and the Planner Essentials 37 for the Stitched Letters (love this alphabet). I used the new Gnome for the centerpiece of this page. Could he be any cuter?! Of course, no page is complete for me without some reinforcements that come from either the page die sets or the Reinforcement Pack 1 or Pack 2. I always use the 101mm Double Sided Adhesive with the reinforcements as it makes them into stickers – so easy to use. The “December” is from the Planner Months set.

The next page uses the adorable new Holiday Train die set. How sweet! The page base on this one is Planner Essentials 39. The red paper is also cut with a die from the 39 set and has a great little slot for sliding in pictures or another element. The silver frames are also dies in the 39 set. (I didn’t tack them down yet as I’ll wait to add some pictures.)

I wanted to add a close-up of both the Gnome and the Holiday Train just to give you another peek at their cuteness!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen
