Have you seen our new release yet? We released a brand new collection from Joset van de Burgt and IT. IS. ADORABLE!
Over the last week, our Design Team has been sharing a lot of projects they’ve made with the new collection. You may have missed some of them, so we thought we’d share them here, along with some others we’ve been keeping to ourselves ?
It’s Sara here today, and I have a new summery project for you: a sailor card, which is perfect both for a young boy and for an adult one.
Don’t know why I went for a round shape, but maybe I’ve thought about the waves. Who cares?
So, all you have to do is:
Cut a circle with the third larger die from Dashing circles on to a folded piece of cardstock, minding that you have to off set it just a little bit in order to create a round folding card.
With the same die cut a piece of light blue paper, and shade it with Distress Ink to create a night sky.
For the waves fussy cut three pieces of vellum with different widths, add a little bit of white embossing powder to the borders
Stamp and watercolor the bear from Sailor’s life stamp set with no line technique and die cut it with the matching die.
Cut a circular frame with the circle die you use before and the fourth larger.
Assemble all your piece with Kid’s choice glue and mounting tape to create some dimension.
And that’s it! Hope you like it!

Hi everyone, Diana here. I am loving these new Adventure Animals dies by Joset –– they are so cute! They come together very easily –– Joset has some great videos on how to put them together and I think the best part about them is that you can arrange them in different ways. I decided to make my elephant “float” in the air. I found the perfect quote to go with it in Suzanne Cannon’s Soar Collection.
Tall and Skinny is the way to go with this design
In order to have all my elements fit, I went with a tall and skinny design that would fit inside a business envelope.
Cut a piece of cardstock to 3.5″ x 8.25″.
I die cut out the elephant and 4 of the right legs since I was doing a side view of the elephant out of white soft cardstock.
I also cut out the balloons and grass from Balloons and Tree die set.
Distress Oxides were used to color all the different pieces. Hickory Smoke and Tattered Rose for the elephant; Frayed Burlap and Bundled Sage for the grass; Candied Apple and Salty Ocean for the balloons.
To make the background, I used the clouds from the Rainbow Sky die set to make a cloud mask. Die cut several clouds and adhere to a strip to make a quick cloud border. Scoot the mask back and forth so the clouds don’t look the same on every layer.
Easy cloud background
6. Stamp “Let your dreams soar” along the top edge first. I then went down the left and right side. The strip of grass is a great “fudge factor” so that you don’t have to worry about ending at just the right place.
The script lettering frames the image really well.
7. Tie a piece of gray twine to the balloons and loop the other end around the elephants trunk. I adhere the balloons first and then stretch the elephant down until the twine was straight. Pop up the heart and the elephant on foam tape to give the card a bit more dimension.
8. I added a 1/16″ matting to the piece before adhering it to the card base.
So cute!
I hope this inspires you to think outside of the usual A2 size card base. I’m not super fond of making my own envelopes but we all usually have some business envelopes lying around. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a sweet and simple card to share with you using sentiments to create a background. I used the Garden Party Clear Stamps from Krista Schneider. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.
Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)
Step 2 – Trim Soft Finish Café au Lait to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Stamp Garden Party sentiments (Bloom, Blossom, Grow) using a soft brown Ink. You could mix it up but I decided on the sentiments repeating on each row. Diecut Garden Notes Frame It Stitched Squares. Save the inner square. Diecut Dashing Rectangles and adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Step 3 – Stamp Garden Party image onto White Soft Finish Cardstock using Gina K Amalgam Ink. This is an alcohol friendly ink. Color in the image using alcohol markers. I used Tri-Blend Markers by Spectrum Noir. Diecut the image with the matching die.
Step 4 – Diecut Dotted Scallop Squares using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere the center square from Step 2 on top of the Dotted Scallop Square diecut and then the diecut image using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Optional – Wrap some twine around the bottom 3 times and tie a bow. Adhere to card using foam tape.
This card can be used for any occasion. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
When I first started playing with this stamp set, I had plans to arrange the leave and flowers more traditionally. Instead I went with what I love –– pattern play –– looking for fun ways to arrange and layout patterns onto my card front.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: Using pattern paper and card stock, stamp and die cut the flowers and leaves from Color My Flowers set.
Step 2: Position the flowers and leaves on to your card front measuring: 10.5cm x 15.5cm
Step 3: (Optional) Before adhering the flower add machine stitched details to the leaves on your card front.
Step 4: Adhere the flowers using foam tape.
Step 5: Use watermark ink to stamp the sentiment three times on to black cardstock, apply white embossing powder, then heat set.
Step 6: Trim the sentiments and adhere to your card front.
Step 7: Embellish with a twine bow and sequins. Adhere card front to an A6 card base.
Thank you for stopping by! For me this is a quick and easy way to create with stamps and their co-ordinating cut out dies. All you need is pattern paper, cardstock, and a fun layout…

Step 3. Leaves Cut out from the White Soft Finish Cardstock, the following leaves: Garden Notes – Hosta Leaves Garden Notes – Eucalyptus Frosty Fern Garden Notes – Clematis (only the leaves) Garden Notes – French Pumpkin (only the leaves) Color them as showed below. Add the veins using the leaf tool and the leaf pad. With the ball tool and the molding pad add more curving details. Adhere the leaves around the oval of the frame, as shown in the pictures below.
Step 4 . Prairie Rose Cut a set of Garden Notes – Prairie Rose (except the stem) from the White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color all the pieces. Use the loop tool and the molding pad to add a texture on all the petals. With the ball tool, add the curling to the paper. Use the ball tool and the tweezers to wrap the pistil pieces. Use the Kids choice glue to adhere the Pollen on the end points of the pistil. Overlap all the layers of the petals and the pistil. Adhere the flowers in the hight left corner of the oval frame.
Step 5. Crocus Cut 3 sets of Garden Notes – Crocus (except the stem) from the White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color all the pieces. Use the loop tool and the molding pad to add a texture on all the petals. Wrap the pistils pieces with the tweezers Use the Kids choice glueto adhere the Pollen on the end points of the pistils.
