Welcome Little One

April 4, 2023

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I needed a card for a new baby card but found myself with no specific dies or stamps. I looked through my Elizabeth Crafts Design stash and came up with the following. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Place Planner Stencil 3 on top of the panel to create some interest. Use a blender Brush to apply ink directly on the stencil.

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Rectangles using the panel created in Step 2.

Step 4 – Stamp Life Is Better On The Farm Sentiments using Versafine Onyx Black Ink directly on the panel created in Step 2. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Ducks using various colors of cardstock. Assemble and add some highlights using an alcohol marker. I used Copics for some shading. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

When you lack specific dies and or stamps don’t hesitate to look through your stash. Most likely you have something that will create the card that you need. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Love Is All You Need Mini Slimline Card

February 8, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. My card is inspired by a true story. I used to live in an area right near the river and every Spring I would wake up to Ducks swimming in my pool. It was a beautiful sight and made me appreciate family. When I think of Valentine’s I think of Family. Below you will find the steps for a non traditional Valentine’s card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Adventure Edges (clouds) to use as a stencil. Place on top of the card front and apply ink of your choice using a blender brush. I used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass.

Step 3 – Diecut Ducks using various colors of Cardstock. I cut out a rectangle the length of the puddle to create my swimming pool. Assemble and adhere to card front (pool using Kids Choice Glue and Ducks using Foam Tape).

Step 4 – Diecut Winter Scenery (tree) using Green Cardstock. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut Adventure Edges (grass) using Green Cardstock. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 6 – Diecut Once Upon A Time Accessories (cattail) using Brown and Green Cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7 – Stamp Love Sentiment on Blue Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Diecut with Fitted Fishtails. Turn around and diecut again to have the fishtails on both sides.

This card be used for several occasions by changing the sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
