Valentine’s Day is a papercrafter’s idea of heaven! (Not that we ever need an excuse to make cards.) The minute I saw the Lace Heart die from the ModaScrap collection I was ready to roll…

This is a super simple project. The card is flat instead of folded so you’ll need to choose whether to punch holes at the top and add twine or ribbon and a bead for a hanging loop, or skip the holes and send a Card Stand/Easel so it can be displayed on a mantel, desk, or table.

chevron-1 chevron-2 chevron-3 The new Chevron Background die is so much fun to use! It cuts a rectangle that will fill an A2-size card front. It also cuts lots of smaller pieces, some with decorative stitched lines, as well as ten flag pieces with holes at the top for stringing them together as banners.

I decided to cut the Chevron Background from Bright Orange Soft Finish Cardstock and challenged myself to use every single piece for a batch of Halloween cards. Backing the cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet before cutting made it extra fast and easy.

Though I ended up with three cards; you could make more cards by using fewer pieces on each one.
