Christmas In July Bouquet

July 8, 2022

Hi, Marla here today, with a Christmas in July card. Can you believe we have already moved into July? Why not start the month out with a little Christmas inspiration? I know you’re what you’re thinking, “I can’t begin to think about that right now. I’m enjoying my summer.” We aren’t going to get frosty just yet. Let’s hit the hot house instead and build a Christmas floral bouquet. Here’s how my card was created.

1. Die cut your ECD “Flower Pot/Pail” from white cardstock and add ink. Add foam tape to the back.

2. Die cut two ECD “Berry Branches” from white cardstock and add ink. Then add wet glue to the top of each berry and add Prills. Set aside to dry.

3. Die cut the several of the smallest flower from ECD “Florals 14.” Add ink in desired color on both the front and back sides. Spritz with water and pinch the ends of each petal toward the center. Add Prills to the center with wet glue.

4. Die but two branches from white cardstock using ECD “Leaves 1.” Coat with Versmark Ink and add gold embossing powder, then heat set.

5. Die cut three pine branches, using white cardstock from ECD “Leaves & Branches” and add ink.

6. Add a 4.25 x 5.25 piece of patterned paper to an A2 top folding card base. Add decorative trim 2/3’s way down behind where flowerpot will be placed.

7. Adhere your flowerpot. Using the slit at the top begin to arrange the bouquet in the flowerpot.

8. Cut a small circle three times and glue together to create a chipboard circle. Stamp a holiday greeting in the center then add it to the center of your flowerpot. Tie a bow from thin ribbon and adhere to the top of your sentiment circle.

That completes my card for today. Thank you for joining me. Until next time…. Marla
