By the Sea is where I want to be!

May 24, 2023

Hi everyone, Katie here with todays blog post. I wanted to change it up a bit using Esther Glasses Sea Creatures and create this super cool Steam Punk Easel Card. So grab your favorite beverage and lets begin.

Step 1: Start with creating the portal of your submarine, I used an older paper line from Stamperia, it has pipes and gears that would make it look like the inside of a sub. I cut the paper 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and used the circle from the pocket page fillers 2 and cut the Centre of the paper. The backside of this paper has the pipes and gears and I flipped the circle. Before adhering the circle, I placed a piece of acetate in-between the layers. Next, I took the two circle from the Pocket Pages filler 2 and created the black ring from card stock. I added the black bolts from Planner Essentials 48 to the 4 corners of the card.

Step 2: Cut out your Octopus and diving helmet from Seas Creatures out of your favorited designer paper or card stock, as well as the coordinating grasses and Sea Horse (I did use the Summer Art Journal collection but just realized it was discontinued, Sorry) But there are other sea horses out there. Ink your pieces with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and assemble.

Step 3: Create the rest of your easel card by use heavy white cardstock120lbs and cut your card base, 5 1/2 x 11 and score along the 11″ side at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 and fold up your score lines, cut an extra 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 base page and attach your card front. If you take a look at my other blog post “A Pop-Up Shaker Snowman Card” you can see how to assemble. (Its very easy)

Step 4: Cut out your Happy Birthday from coordinating cardstock and Sea Accessories, and adhere to your card.

Last step I always like to speckle with Heavy White Acrylic paint.

I hope todays blog post brought you some inspiration, as its just another way to use this awesome Sea Creatures Planner die set from Esther Glass! Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!

Cardmaking Joset Designs Planner Essentials Sidekick Essentials Soft Finish Cardstock

Label box

October 27, 2022

Hii all!

I’m here today with a new blogpost. I am very excited about this project because I can use a lot of different things. I used a Vignette Box from Tim Holtz filled with dies from Esther and Joset. It is such a fun project to fill.

As you can see I used a lot of different base dies. I used the cutting tags from the paperpad Christmas Lives here, Planner Essentials 42 (shapes, frames and words), the Library Pocket Filler Cards and the Nested Tags from Joset (1998). With these dies you can make a lot of different combinations. So let’s start with the first one.

I used the paper from Christmas Lives Here to start with. For this card I also used some corrugated cardboard and tear that. At the back I used a stencil with some icicle texture paste. Adhere the corrugated cardboard, a label and some holly with berries.

At the back I only made the lantern from the Lantern Page.

For the next card I stamped with the Peace and Joy stamp, Versamark and some red Embossing Powder. It is not that tight, but I like this for now. At the right I made a little tab.

At the back I used the stamp Crayons with Journaling Cards and another Holly with berries.

The next card is made with the Frames from Planner Essentials 42. Just die-cutting the full card with the beautiful bird and added a frame.

At the back of the frame I did some stamping, used an older label and added some tab behind the label. I also used the small trees from the Sidekick Essentials. And ofcourse some sparkling.

For the next card I started with some stencil and Ink for the background, added a part of the tree page and a small Nutcracker.

And at the back also some stamping with embossingpowder, some gifts and a stamped paperclip. I really love to make combinations with dies and stamps.

And last but not least I made these two tags with Santa and Mrs. Santa.

I think I told you everything for now haha. It is a long post this time, but I had some much fun making and sharing this. Below this post you can see all the used products.

Thankyou for visiting!

Kind regards

Lisanne Geerdink

Sunny days

January 26, 2022

Hi all! It is my turn to give you some inspiration. This time I made a planner page with the Retro Bus Kit and some dies from Joset. A lot of fun products are coming. You have probably all seen the fabulous Retro Bus Kit from Esther, it is just wow!! I’ve included a lot of pictures in the blog post as I was so happy with how the page turned out 😉 So let’s start!

I started with with making a page with Planner Essentials dies 1. I also used the Wave Pocket dies. These 2 dies are my base. I cut off the short part of the Wave Pocket. I didn’t throw this part away, but kept it. I will use this later. I made a pocket from the largest part so I can put something in there.

In this pocket I added 2 simple tags from the Reminiscene books.

I also made a label with paper from Esther’s Badass shop and some cute elements from the Planner Essntials and Retro Bus kit. Oh and the stamp for writing some notes.

Now I need the shortest part from the wave pocket. I made the Retro Bus and adhered this to the wave pocket.

I just love the small elements with the lights, flowers and wheels. For this bus I used some paper from the Reminiscence the book, metallic paper and Soft Finish Cardstock. You can make it how you want.

At the back I added a tent using dies from Joset. I thought it would be perfect for this theme.

And the suitcase and bag are perfect for this page. The suitcase is a die from the Retro Bus. The bag is from the Camping accessories.

At the page with the pocket I added the tree and farmer in safari theme. I really like to combine everything together.

And I just like the clothes from the farmer. The farmer is standing at the sentiment ‘explore’.

This picture is how you see the page when it’s closed.

And this is when the page is open.

I’m very happy with it. I hope you like this post as much as I do. Thank you so much for reading!

Kind regards

Lisanne
