Happy Thanksgiving Card

October 28, 2020

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Happy Thanksgiving Card.

To create my Happy Thanksgiving Card, I’ve used dies from the Paper Flower Collection as well as a die from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.

Step One. Choose two patterned papers from the Worn Wood Paper Pack. From one of the patterned papers, die cut a 4 1/4″ Stitched Rounded Rectangle. From the other patterned paper, die cut a 3 3/4″ Stitched Rounded Rectangle. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut a 4″ Fitted Rounded Rectangle out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Distress the edges of the rectangles. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. Die cut a 1 3/8″ Fitted Fishtail out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Trim the fishtail down to 3″. Die cut a 1 1/8″ Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of one of the wood patterned papers you’ve already used. Trim the fishtail down to 2 3/4″. Distress the edges of both fishtails. Ink the edges of both fishtails using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Die cut the Elegant Ornament out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Trim the ornament down to 4″. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the ornament.

Step Five. Die cut two of the Berry Branch Die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of each branch. Spritz each branch with water. Once the branches have dried, add dots to one of the branches using the Craft Drops in Pearl Rose. On the other branch, add dots using the Craft Drops in Metallic Gold.

Step Six. From the Words 3 – Happy Holidays Die, die cut the Happy Thanksgiving words out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over the entire surface of the words.

Step Seven. Adhere the 3 3/4″ rectangle to the 4″ rectangle. Foam square the 4″ rectangle to the 4 1/4″ rectangle.

Step Eight. Adhere the 1 1/8″ fishtail to the 1 3/8″ fishtail. Adhere the 1 3/8″ fishtail 1/4″ from the left and all the way to the top of the 4″ rectangle. Adhere the elegant ornament 5/8″ from the left and all the way to the top of the 4″ rectangle.

Step Nine. Adhere the two berry branches to the left hand side of the 3 3/4″ rectangle as desired.

Step Ten. Adhere the Happy Thanksgiving word to the bottom portion of the cardfront as desired.

Step Eleven. Cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my Happy Thanksgiving Card at home.

Katelyn
