Beautiful Blooms Stamping

Kindness Floral on Vellum

Hello friends! Michelle here today with a simple floral vellum card using the beautiful Kindness Stamp Set and coordinating die, also digging into my neglected paper stash.

Step 1: Stamp and heat emboss in black the large flower on vellum. Ensure that your heat embossing tool is heated really well before going to the vellum and keep the heat constantly moving to try and minimize any warping of the vellum.

Step 2: Colour the image using alcohol markers on the back side of the vellum to avoid any possible damage to the nibs of the markers from the heat embossing. This will mute the colours a bit, so use brighter than normal if you want.

Step 3: Heat emboss on white cardstock the sentiment using the same black embossing powder, to keep the look cohesive and cut out using the coordinating die.

Step 4: I picked out a black and white patterned paper from my stash, to mount the floral panel on…..I have so much of it, I really need to get using it. Vellum can be a bit tricky to adhere as it is somewhat transparent, so for my panel I I used a clear 3D “foam” tape and added some pieces under the flower and some under the diecut word as well, to try to disguise it. This meant that the right side didn’t have much support, but it seemed to be alright.

Step 5: To finish it I added a few sequins with a liquid adhesive and also hid a bit of the clear adhesive under them as well. I then added it all to my A2 side folding cardbase using white craft foam using a double sided tape.

Clean and simple cards with basic fitted dies

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna Lippert here again today with another card tutorial share. Today I wanted to show you how you can use the basic fitted/nesting dies to create colorful, yet simple, card backgrounds in just a few simple steps.

You only need a selection of basic fitted dies (for exampe rectangles, stars, hexacons or squares), a stamp set and a selection of colored cardstock. I chose to do a more monochromatic pattern on the above cards, but you could do more variation by picking all colours of the rainbow for a background. Here is how these cards were done:

Step 1: Pick three colours of cardstock in similar tones (I used grey, teal and blue tones). Then pick three of the smaller sized nesting Stitched Rectangles and die cut two pieces each with the smaller dies from the cardstock and one bigger sized piece.

Step 2: Arrange the pieces onto a card base and adhere them on place with Clear Double Sided Tape. Flip the card over and cut any excess pieces with scissors.

Step 3: Take a piece of black cardstock and stamp a sentiment with the “Build Your Own Sentiment 1” stamp set using embossing ink and fine white embossing powder. Heat set the powder with a heat tool and adhere the sentiment onto the card with 3D foam pads. For additional detail you can add some embossed stars around the sentiment and a few Craft Drops, if you want to.

Here are some variations on you can do using other fitted dies – I used the Stitched Hexacons and Stitched Stars:

As you can see, by changing the color combination and the dies or the sentiments, you can create cards for various occations using the same basic idea!

Clean and simple, die cut, Christmas present tag set

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna Lippert here again today with my monthly guest design team project. This time, I wanted to create a few Christmas present tags that are fast and easy to make and thus perfect if you need to make plenty!

And this is how I created the tags:

Step 1: Take light blue (or another color you prefer) Soft Finish Cardstock and die cut rounded rectangular pieces from the cardstock with your die cutting machine.
Step 2: Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive on a piece of Worn Wood patterned paper (pick a wooden pattern of your choice) and die cut the paper with the Sled die cut die.
Step 3: Now take a piece of light pink paper (for example from the Christmas Holidays paper pack) and die cut the tiny flowers from that paricular paper.

Step 4: Take another piece of Worn Wood (preferably pick another color for additional contrast) paper and die cut the upper tag pieces from that paper of your choice.
Step 5: Add pink Distress Ink around the edges of the die cut flowers for more contrast. Then adhere all pieces together/in place.
Step 6: Take a piece of (light) brown Soft Finish Carstock and using the Winter Sentiments stamp set, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment using white embossing powder. Fussy cut to a banner and adhere on place. Finish off with Craft Drops (alternatively use half pearls or rhinestones) and a piece of ribbon.

I´ve again also recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch to give a better idea on each and every step. I hope you enjoy it!

This tag idea is so simple that you can die cut several tags at once and make plenty of Christmas present tags at once. You could even sit down with your children and craft together with them. And if you change the colours, they will again look different with the same basic idea.

A Santa Die Cut Gift Tag

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow again. I can’t believe it’s my last post of 2017.  First of all, Merry Christmas. I hope you are planning lots of fun times over the festive period, however you celebrate it.  I am of German heritage and I loved getting all my presents Christmas Eve. I let the girls open a small present Christmas Eve to keep the tradition alive, we have the rest of our presents Christmas Day – stockings when we first wake up and then we have Stollen Bread with Bucks Fizz and Prosecco, then a big round of presents before a big traditional British Christmas Day meal!  We have the in-laws over this year and I love them both so much. We will have lots of good food, laughter and fun while we celebrate our first Christmas in our own home. I’m so excited!
