Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stocking Card

December 20, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I can’t believe the holidays are just days away. This is my last post for 2022 so I decided to add some bonus cards. Below are the steps to create your own cards.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish to 7″ x 6″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish to 3 1/2″ x 6″. Place Planner Stencils 1 on top of panel and apply Versamark. Remove the stencil and sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder. Remove the excess and heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. (Planner Stencil 1 is no longer in stock so you can replace with Planner Stencil 3.)

Step 3 – Diecut Holiday Stocking using various colors of Glitter Cardstock. If you don’t have Glitter Cardstock you can make your own using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets and Silk Microfine Glitter by placing Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets on Soft Finish Cardstock. Remove the release sheet and add Silk Microfine Glitter. Remove the excess and burnish it with your finger. Assemble and adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Stamp Holiday Treats sentiment using Versamark on White Soft Finish Cardstock. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool.

Step 5 – Diecut Diagonal Stitched Fishtails to the sentiment created in Step 4. Adhere to card front using a piece of Foam Tape on the left side and 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the right.

Bonus Cards

All the cards are using the same products but the colors and stencils are different. I used Planner Stencils 1 & 2 but it is no longer in stock. Instead you can use Planner Stencils 3.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 11″ x 4 1/2″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Diecut Fitted Circles using Masking Sheets and place on top of the trimmed Cardstock. Apply inks of your color choice using a Blender brush. Once done place Planner Stencil on top and using the same colors. This is called Double Stenciling. Remove the masks.

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Indented Rectangles using the panels created in Step 2.

Step 4 – Stamp Holiday Treats sentiments to the panels created in Step 2 using Versamark. Sprinkle Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Beautiful Baubles using Matte Cardstock for the baubles top and string. Beautiful Baubles is no longer in stock so you can use Classic Christmas Special Kit for the baubles top and use string or draw a line for the string.

Believe – Santa and his Penguin

November 28, 2022

Karen here today sharing a couple Christmas Cards! Christmas is less than a month away. Do you have all your cards done? Ya, me neither – but I am making them with these fun new and older designs from Joset. In today’s cards edition, I used the new Santa Claus from the Warm & Cozy Collection and the Penguin from an older collection (still relevant and fun!).

First up is the fun new Santa Claus! He is carrying his bag full of toys for kids and adults who believe! I used red, black and 90 lb white Soft Finish Cardstock (from ECD) to create him. All of the pieces “on top” were backed with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive before cutting to make it so much easier! The face is colored with Copics E00 and R20, the beard and other gray features with Copics C1 and C3 and eyes with Copic C7. The glasses and buckle are die cut with gold cardstock. For the Sentiment, I used the new Holiday Treats Sentiment Set on top of Santa’s list that is colored with a bit of Antique Linen Distress Ink.

And one of my older favorites – the Penguin! Again, I used black, green and Soft Finish Cardstock to create this sweet little guy. The feet are colored with Copic YR14. I just love him! He is on top of a Stitched Circle as is the sentiment. The cardstock on all of these are a combination of TH and G45 that I had in my scrap pile!

That’s it for me today. Thank you for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen

Feel the Warmth

November 11, 2022

Karen here! I usually make at least 100 Christmas cards and send them out. I’m SO far behind and so glad that I have Joset’s new collection to help and inspire me. Today’s cards use the adorable new Mrs. Claus and the Sweater Season set.

How sweet is this sweater from the Sweater Season set with a bear on it?! The background papers are all from the Christmas Lives Here paper collection. (I added a Fitted Square a bit crooked just to frame the sweater a bit. I created the sweater from a green dotted G45 scrap along with sleeves that are 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock with Copic G46. Of course the waist and collar are also Soft FInish Cardstock. The sentiment tag is from the new Nested Tag set and the sentiment itself is from Holiday Treats.

I absolutely love Mrs. Clause! It’s like putting together a paper doll from when I was younger. She is so super sweet. Her feet and dress are cut from the same G45 dotted paper I used in the sweater. The rest of the pieces are cut with 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock. I used a Copic E00 on the skin, the Copic G46 for the collar and bottom of the apron, and the C1 for the hair. I cut her sweet little glasses with gold cardstock and added some lace and twine. Cutting the pieces on top with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive makes it so much easier to put together!

Thank you for stopping by!

Craftily yours, Karen
