Clean and simple, masculine, Lighthouse card

August 6, 2020

Hello and happy Thursday! It´s Sanna Lippert here again with my August guest design team project share. This time I´m sharing a very clean and simple and easy to do card that works great for a male recipient.

This is how I created the card:
Step 1: Pick two sheets of patterned paper of your choice that work well together. Cut the darker patterned paper into a slightly smaller rectangle than your card base, then die cut with a smaller Fitted Oval die a hole in the middle.
Step 2: Now take the lighter patterned paper and die cut another piece with the next size (slightly bigger) of the Fitted Oval die.
Step 3: Then die cut the Lighthouse and the birds from black Soft Finish Cardstock. After that die cut the additional Lighthouse pieces from white Soft Finish Cardstock. Before die cutting, attach Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto the cardstock. This way it will be easier to adhere the small pieces on place.

Step 4: Adhere the bigger oval piece onto the card base and assembly the Lightouse from the white and black pieces.
Step 5: Adhere the finished Lighthouse on top of the oval piece. Now adhere the birds on place.
Step 6: Take a residue piece of the lighter patterned paper and stamp the sentiment with black stamp ink onto it. I used Build Your Own Sentiment 1 stamp set for this purpose.
Step 7: Cut the sentiment into a banner either using scissors or the Banners die cut die. Adhere on place.

I´ve again recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. I hope it gives you an even better idea of each and every step.

I hope you get inspired to play and create a fun, masculine card yourself! See you next month with yet another project.

Take care!
Sanna
