Merry Christmas Gift Tag

December 5, 2020

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Merry Christmas Gift Tag.

To create my Merry Christmas Gift Tag, I’ve used a variety of dies from Suzanne Cannon and the Planner Essential Collections. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my tag at home.

Step One. Die cut the large tag from the Planner Essentials – 2 die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Two. From the Love Joy & Peace Christmas Ornament, die cut the ornament out of Silver Foil Paper.

Step Three. Die cut the Merry Christmas – Small out of Copper Foil Paper.

Step Four. Choose one of the greenery branches from the Create a Wreath Die. Die cut the greenery branch four times out of dark green cardstock. Choose one of the berry branches from the same die and die cut it twice out of red cardstock.

Step Five. From the Christmas Accents die cut the small leaves three times out of dark green cardstock. Die cut the medium flower three times out of red cardstock. Die cut the small flower three times out of red cardstock. Die cut the flower centres three times out of Dark Golden Rod Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Six. Adhere the Christmas Ornament to the middle of the tag, making sure the flourish is on the left hand side of the tag.

Step Seven. Adhere two of the greenery branches and one of the red berry branches to the top left side of the ornament as desired. Adhere the remaining two greenery branches and one of the red berry branches to the bottom left side of the ornament as desired.

Step Eight. Shape the leaves and flowers. Adhere a leaf, medium flower, small flower and two centres together. Repeat the previous step for the remaining two flowers. Use foam squares to adhere the three flowers overtop of where the branches meet as desired.

Step Nine. Adhere the Merry Christmas sentiment to the right hand side of the flowers as desired. To finish the tag, create a bow at the top of the tag with a piece of twine.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my Merry Christmas Gift Tag.

Hi there,

it’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this rustic Christmas Door Card.

Step 1: Creating the Door

  • cut out the door from the Christmas Door die set from kraft cardstock with and without a woodgrain texture
  • add shading and splatters with Distress Ink (Walnut Stain, Wild Honey)

Step 2: Cut and Color the Decorations

  • cut out the little tree, the pot and the snow from the Christmas Door die set and some parcels from the Santa’s Sleigh die set from patterned paper, green cardstock and from white cardstock
  • color the elements with Alcohol Markers and add shading with Distress Ink (Pine Needles, Hickory Smoke)

Step 3: Assembly of the Card

  • cover a cardbase with patterned paper
  • cut out the Merry Christmas Small from silver foiled cardstock and ink up the bottom with Distress Ink Black Soot

I hope you got inspired.
