You are Mermazing!

June 20, 2022
Today another happy card from me on the blog. The weather is beautiful here in the Netherlands, so here's also a card in the sea theme.
First I made a background with distress ink. For this I used the dip technique. You first add some ink on your glass plate or craft sheet. Add a few drops of water to dilute it. This is where you dip your paper. This way you get a very cool effect.
Then I used the oyster shell card as a template. This time I didn't die cut it but I drew the outline in the center of the paper. I then cut it out. I did this in such a way that I want to make a shaker out of this.
Behind this you will soon place the colored background and the mermaid.
Then I made an acetate window behind the shell shape. I filled this with shaking material and then closed it off bij adhering the background with the mermaid against it. Picket fence has the perfect shaker material, it contains small shells.
Now it's time for the finishing touch. I cut a square slightly bigger then the shell square from designer paper and adhered the front to this. I also added a cute sand crab and some seaweed as decoration.
This was my creation for this time. Hopefully it makes you happy. Until next time!
