Hoppy Birthday Slimline Card

August 27, 2020

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I created a scenic slimline card using the new Frog and Once Upon A Time Accessories dies along with the Prince and Frog Stamp Set. Below you will find the steps to create your own Hoppy Birthday Slimline card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2”. Apply Distress Oxide Ink using a Blender Brush. I used Tumbled Glass for the top and Cracked Pistachio on the bottom. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Frog in various colours of Cardstock. Assemble the frog using Kids Choice Glue. Adhere the pond and frog to the card front using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 4 – Diecut Once Upon A Time Accessories using various colours of Cardstock. Assemble and adhere to the card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp Prince and Frog sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

This card can be used for several occasions by changing the sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Have A Magical Day

August 16, 2020

Hello friends and welcome, it’s Sandy Diller, today I have a magical card with an added bonus. I’m using the new Storybook collection from Joset. This new release is filled with whimsical characters that make you believe in magic.

The prince and princess stand as separate characters so when you display this fun card you can use your imagination and place them anywhere you like.

To make the castle – cut the Castle Folding Card twice and glue them together as shown below.

White Soft Finish Cardstock was used here and then some gray ink for shading, stenciling and stamping with the bricks from the Prince and Frog Sentiments. The window openings in the die were covered with gold paper from the back.

Brightly colored papers were used to add a whimsical look to this castle.

The stone facing for the door was made by using the included die and shading them with gray ink. The same die was used to add some windows on the the sections that needed them. The door opening was backed with a piece of vellum.

The castle was folded at each crease in different directions to make it stand up. The finishing touches for the castle were the glittered flags.

The Princess and Prince were assembled and then added to a separate stand that was made by using White Soft Finish card stock cut 5.5″ by 3″ and scored at 1.5″ and 4″, folded back to make them stand up. The paper was stenciled using an older stencil from my stash but you could use any paper that has stones or brick pattern. Using some dies from the Once Upon a Time Accessories die set I added a flower and then stamped and colored the frog from the Prince and Frog Sentiments.

My card still needs a sentiment so when I’m ready to send this card I will stamp it with one of the great sentiments from the Once Upon A Time Sentiments. This card folds up completely flat for mailing.

Have A Magical Day,

Sandy

Start each Day with a Grateful Heart

August 11, 2020

Hi there,

It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this adorable frog card.

Step 1: Die Cutting

  • die cut all the necessary elements from white Soft Finish Cardstock using the Frog and Once upon a Time Accessories die sets

Step 2: Coloring

  • color the elements with Alcohol Markers and add extra shading with Distress Inks and a Blending Brush
  • for extra texture mist the little lake with some water droplets
  • add a highlight to the tongue with a white gel pen

Step 3: Assembly

  • assemble the elements using liquid glue and clear double-sided adhesive – use a Stitched Rectangle as a base

Step 4: Finishing Touches

  • adhere a pre-cut sentiment strip with clear double-sided adhesive

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,
