Panda Bear

February 21, 2022

Hello everyone! How are you? Here in the Netherlands we had a big storm this weekend, so it was the perfect weather to craft!

This time I wanted to create a double page in my planner. I chose the Japanese theme for this. Love this theme! I had an idea in my head what I wanted to make.

I started die-cutting two pages out of black craft. For this I used the splatter page. On the back side of the splatter pages I made a basic page in pink. Pink is a favorite color for this theme and also a favorite color of me. Almost on every project I used this color. I usually color everything with distress ink but for this page I chose cardstock which already had the right color.

On the splatter page I made some clouds with a mask stencil and distress oxide in the color spun sugar. The oxide ink has a very cool effect on the black paper. It looks like fog. The mask stencil is ideal for making clouds. I use it very often.

After that I made the panda bear and the koala. Two cute animals in this theme. There will be one on each page. I die cut both animals with White Soft Finish Cardstock and colored them with distress ink. Two little friends.

On the left page I used the symbol background. Made it also in the pink color, the same as on the base page. On the right page I made the bridge and some bamboo for the Panda bear and a cute little temple in front.

To make the pages a whole I made lanterns on the top. I made the background of the lanterns yellow to make it look like they are really on.

I connected the lanterns with a hemp cord to finish it all off.

This was my creation for this time. I hope it inspired you! See you next time.

Pandatastic!

June 28, 2020

Hello and welcome! Samantha here – today I’m sharing a super cute card. I really wanted to make this Panda pop off my card, so I created a pink heart background to contrast with the black and white bear!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Use black and white card to die cut the Panda.

Step 2: Use washi tape, secure white card (Card Measurement: 10.5cm x 14.5cm) to the craft mat. Next, position the stencil over the white card, securing it down with washi tape.

Step 3: Use a blending tool to blend in a generous amount of pink ink over the stencil, through to the white card.

Reposition the stencil, secure and repeat ink blending until the whole card front is full of pink hearts.

Step 4: Die cut three hearts using pink card.

Step 5: Stamp the sentiment on pink card, adhere this and the three hearts to the card front.

Step 6: Adhere Clear Double Sided adhesive to cardstock. Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Silver). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle. Use this glitter card to die cut small hearts (Peek-a-Boo die set) .

Step 7: Assemble and adhere the Panda to the card front. Embellish with the small hearts and sequins. Adhere a twine bow to the card.

Step 8: Adhere the card front to an A6 card base.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my ‘pandastic’ tutorial today!

Happy Crafting!

Samantha

Panda Bear Card

December 29, 2019

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I adore Panda Bears and, when Joset came out with the Panda Bear Character Die, I knew I had to play with it. I love the Black White Colors against a Red Background and touches of gold. Below you will find the steps to create your own Panda Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Diecut Dashing Rectangles using Red Cardstock. Adhere to card base using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Symbol Background using Gold Mirror Cardstock. Adhere to card towards the right side using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 4 – Diecut Panda Bear using White and Black Cardstock for the appropriate pieces. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp Zen sentiments using Versamark on Black Cardstock. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Trim the sentiments and adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 6 – For added interest and sparkle randomly adhere Red Jewels.

I hope today’s card gave you some inspiration. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Panda Surprise

November 21, 2019

EK here! I am just loving the new Asian inspired release from Joset. It has been so much fun creating a different style with these fun dies and stamps and today, I have one more card to share with you today.

Step One: Die cut all the pieces from 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock using the new Symbol Background die and Panda Bear die. Trim a piece of Rust Soft Finish Cardstock to 5.75×5.75 inches.

Step Two: Color the Panda die cut pieces with alcohol markers.

Step Three: Assemble the panda using some Kids Choice Glue.

Step Four: Die cut a circle from the center of the rust cardstock using the Frame It/Stitched Circle die set.

Step Five: Trim a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock to 6×12 inches, score and fold to create a 6×6 inch card frame. Adhere the rust cardstock to the card frame using some 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step Six: Adhere the panda into the open circle.

Step Seven: Adhere the Symbol Background die cut onto the left over die cut circle.

Step Eight: Score and fold the circle at 3/4 and inch and add some 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive to create an interactive flap.

Step Nine: Attach the flap onto the card frame cover the panda.

This will leave you a fun flap opening to reveal the panda bear inside!

Step Ten: Add a sentiment using the Bear Hug stamp set.

I just love how simple this interactive card is to create. Thank for peeking in today, and make sure you check out the whole new line of stamps and dies from Joset.
