Hello, Marla here today with a simple, yet bold card featuring the Ginko leaf from the ECD “Ferns” die set. One of my favorite crafty items is foam tape. It takes a simple stamp or die on a card to a whole new level. (Pun intended) Let’s get started on this quick and easy card.
Step 1. Cut several Ginko leaves, to cover your card panel. Choose paper that will work with your coloring medium. I used watercolor paper for my images and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Step 2. Using 1/8″ foam tape behind each of the die cuts.
Step 3. Die cut your sentiment using the “Stitched Letters and Numbers” dies and color. Cut each letter three times. Color one set of letters then stack and glue the remaining letters for dimension
Step 4. Cut a piece of complimentary cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and add your Ginko pieces. Make sure to allow portions to hang over the edges. Use your scissors to trim the excess.
Step 5. Adhere the panel to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ top folding card panel.
Step 6. Add the sentiment to the card.
That finishes my card for today. I hope you will add consider adding dimension to your cards for a little drama. Thank you for taking time to stop by. Until next time…. Marla
