December To Remember Pocket

December 16, 2021

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my December To Remember Pocket

To create my December To Remember Pocket, I’ve used a variety of dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my pocket at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of Christmas patterned paper. From the Planner Essentials 30 – Wave Pocket Die, die cut the wave pocket from the patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of the pocket using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. From the Planner Essentials – Planner Pocket 2 die, die cut the circle wreath once out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Three. Die cut the deer from the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the entire surface of the deer. Ink the edges of the deer using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. From the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert, die cut the trees out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and the Watercolor Palette, colour the trees as desired. Once the trees have dried, ink the edges of the trees using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. From the Planner Essentials – Reinforcement Pack 2, die cut two snowflake reinforcements out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Six. Die cut the tab from the Planner Essentials 44 – Folded Arrow Insert Die out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the tab using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. From the December Moments Stamp Set, you’ll need the December and To Remember labels. Apply Lucky Clover Distress Ink to the December label and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the To Remember label and stamp onto the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the two labels out. Ink the edges of both labels using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eight. Adhere the tab to the right side of the pocket before adhering. Adhere the sides of the bottom piece to create the pocket.

Step Nine. Adhere the snowflake reinforcements overtop of the two holes at the bottom of the pocket.

Step Ten. Adhere the tree line to the top portion of the pocket as desired.

Step Eleven. Adhere the circle wreath to the bottom right side of the pocket. Foam square the deer to the middle of the circle wreath.

Step Twelve. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the December To Remember labels to the left of the deer as desired.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my December To Remember Pocket at home.

To create my Falala Planner Page, I’ve used a variety of the dies from the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my planner page at home.

Step One. From the Planner Essentials 35 – Holiday Tab Pages, die cut the page with the tab out of a piece of red patterned paper. Apply Emboss It Ink to the star border stamp from the Planner Essentials Reindeer Mail and stamp randomly on the page as desired. You’ll need to stamp the border three more times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. Sprinkle Charred Gold Embossing Powder over the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the page. Ink the edges of the page using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut the snowflake reinforcements from the Planner Essentials – Reinforcement Pack 2 out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. You’ll need a total of four reinforcements.

Step Three. Choose two pieces of co-ordinating Christmas patterned paper. From the first patterned paper, die cut a 3″ Stitched Indented Rectangle. From the second patterned paper, die cut a 2 3/4″ Fitted Indented Rectangle. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Die cut a 2 1/2″ Stitched Indented Rectangle out of a piece of Kraft Cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the It’s a wonderful stamp from the Planner Essentials – Reindeer Mail stamp set and stamp on the rectangle. Sprinkle Golden Rod Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder over the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Step Five. From the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert die, die cut the trees out of a piece of green patterned paper or dark green cardstock. Ink the edges of the trees using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Six. From the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert die, die cut the deer out of a White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the entire surface of the deer. Ink the edges of the deer using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. Choose a third piece of co-ordinating Christmas patterned paper. From the Planner Essentials 14 – Bookmark 1 die, die cut the plain ornament out of the patterned paper. Cut the ornament in half. Ink the edges of both halves using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eight. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to the Fala stamp from the Planner Essentials – December Moments stamp set and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the word into a strip. Distress the edges of the strip. Ink the edges of the strip using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Nine. From the Planner Essentials 12 – Arrow Page & Trees die, die cut the three stars out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to all three stars. Sprinkle Charred Gold Embossing Powder over the three stars. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Once the stars have cooled, ink the edges of the stars using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Ten. Adhere the snowflake reinforcements over top of the holes on the page.

Step Eleven. Adhere the 2 3/4″ rectangle to the 3″ rectangle. Adhere the left half of the ornament 1/2″ from the top and 3/8″ from the left of the rectangle. Adhere the right half of the ornament 1 3/8″ from the top and 1/2″ from the right of the rectangle. Foam square the 3″ rectangle 3/8″ from the top and 7/8″ from the left of the page.
