Beautiful Blooms Stamping

Kindness Floral on Vellum

April 28, 2022

Hello friends! Michelle here today with a simple floral vellum card using the beautiful Kindness Stamp Set and coordinating die, also digging into my neglected paper stash.

Step 1: Stamp and heat emboss in black the large flower on vellum. Ensure that your heat embossing tool is heated really well before going to the vellum and keep the heat constantly moving to try and minimize any warping of the vellum.

Step 2: Colour the image using alcohol markers on the back side of the vellum to avoid any possible damage to the nibs of the markers from the heat embossing. This will mute the colours a bit, so use brighter than normal if you want.

Step 3: Heat emboss on white cardstock the sentiment using the same black embossing powder, to keep the look cohesive and cut out using the coordinating die.

Step 4: I picked out a black and white patterned paper from my stash, to mount the floral panel on…..I have so much of it, I really need to get using it. Vellum can be a bit tricky to adhere as it is somewhat transparent, so for my panel I I used a clear 3D “foam” tape and added some pieces under the flower and some under the diecut word as well, to try to disguise it. This meant that the right side didn’t have much support, but it seemed to be alright.

Step 5: To finish it I added a few sequins with a liquid adhesive and also hid a bit of the clear adhesive under them as well. I then added it all to my A2 side folding cardbase using white craft foam using a double sided tape.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project for today. A bit more on the simple side, but it just helps to feature this gorgeous floral even more. Thank you so very much for stopping by and I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day! Until next time,

Butterfly Art Journal Page

April 27, 2021

Hi there,

It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this Butterfly Art Journal Page:

Step 1: Creating the Background

  • apply Embossing Paste through the Waves stencil on a piece of watercolor paper and let this layer dry thoroughly
  • add color using pinks from the Watercolor Palette
  • ink up the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot and add some splatters with watered-down black acrylic ink

Step 2: Creating the Butterfly

  • roll a piece of purple tissue paper for the butterfly’s body
  • add little antennas – I used ready-made stamen that you would normally use for flower centers
  • cut out two wings from vellum using a die from the Butterfly Pocket Insert set
  • color the vellum with a light teal Alcohol Marker
  • assemble the butterfly using hot glue
  • add a pre-made sentiment

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,

Life’s a Beach

July 14, 2020

Hi there,

it’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this summer tag/bookmark with the small image stamps from several sentiment sets:

Step 1: Die Cutting and Background Stamping

  • die cut a tag from smooth white cardstock and if you like another tag from patterned paper that you can use in the back using the smaller tag die from the Planner Essentials 26 set
  • stamp the little heart from the Bear Hugs Sentiments, the shells and the starfish from the Splish Splash Sentiments and the sun and sunglasses from the Beach Sentiments set with Versafine Clair Morning Mist to create a background pattern on your tag

Step 2: Sentiment and little Accent

  • stamp the palm trees from the Beach Sentiments Set wit Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Nocturne onto a piece of torn vellum and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
  • wrap the vellum around the tag and secure it with washi tape and the patterned paper packing you die cut earlier

Step 3: Finishing Touches

  • color the image with Derwent Artists pencils and adhere it above the sentiment strip
  • thread three strands of twine through the hole of the tag

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,
