Joyful Wishes Mini Slimline Card

November 21, 2021

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I had my Jack Frost dies out and I wanted to create a female snowman so I took out my inks and some older Elizabeth Craft Design Products and love how it all came together. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1’2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4” x 5 3/4”. Apply any inks of your choice using a Blender Brush. I wanted a rainbow sky. I used a pink, orange, yellow, green and blue ink. I splashed some water. You can see I had an accident as a big blob of water spilled on my background. I decided it was a happy accident and went with it. Let dry then adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Village Edges using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the snowbank only.

Step 4 – Diecut Jack Frost and Winter Accessories in various colors of cardstock, use the same color inks on White Soft Finish Cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Stamp Holiday Sparkle sentiment using the same pink ink used in the background.

Step 6 – Diecut Diagonal Fishtail using the sentiment from step 5. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

This is a fun card to put together. You can change it up by changing it to a male snowman and/or changing the colors. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Jingle All The Way Card

January 4, 2021

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Before we get started I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and better days!

Today I am sharing a card combining different product from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I mixed Joset Designs, Sue Stamps and Planner Essentials to create this super cute Slimline Card. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4” x 8 1/4”. Apply Distress Oxide Ink using an ink applicator starting from the bottom in the lightest color. I used Tumbled GLass, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Optional – Add Gouache onto an acrylic block and spray it with a little water. Using a paintbrush splash onto the background created to give the illusion of snow. Let dry.

Step 3 – Stamp Hugs sentiment (Jingle All The Way) using Versamark onto the panel created from Step 2. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Planner Essentials 12 Arrow Page & Trees using Green Cardstock for the tree with holes, Red Metallic Cardstock for the solid tree and Gold Glitter Cardstock for the star. Assemble using Kids Choice Glue. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut Adventure Edges 2 using White Soft Finish Cardstock x 3 in different positions. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue layering each panel.

Step 6 – Diecut Jack Frost & Winter Accessories using White Soft Finish Cardstock for the snowman, Red and White Cardstock for the hat, Red for the scarf and black for the eyes and buttons, orange for the nose. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7 – Diecut Penguin using Black and White Cardstock for the Penguin, orange for the feet and Blue for the scarf. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

I used the Red Metallic beneath the tree holes because when you move the card and the light hits it it gives the illusion of flashing lights. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Joyful Wishes

December 14, 2020

Hey Friends! It’s EK, and today I am playing around with the newly released Holiday Elf- Hers and seeing if I can play with her in ways beyond just the holidays. After all, there are a bunch more elves than just holiday elves. I thought I would play around and see if I could make her into a convincing woodland elf and with the help of the Mushroom House Folding Card I think I was able to come up pretty convincingly with that.

Step One: Die cut all the pieces (minus the elf’s hat) of the Holiday Elf- Hers die set and the stocking cap and trim from the Winter Accessories die set out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Two: Using colored pencils, color the skin and hair of the elf. I used my Polychromos pencils.

Step Three: Color the elf’s clothing and stocking cap (from the Winter Accessories diet set) dark brown with colored pencils.

Step Four: Color the rest of the elf’s clothing a mid toned gray.

Step Five: Using Kids Choice Glue assemble the elf.

Step Six: Die cut the pieces of the Mushroom House Folding Card and some of the accessories out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Seven: Using Distress Oxides color the mushroom card frame. I used a combination of Pumice Stone, Victorian Velvet and Frayed Burlap.

Step Eight: Using Distress Oxides color the natural elements. I used Rustic Wilderness for the grass, Wild Honey and Victorian Velvet for the flowers, and a combination of Hickory Smoke, Victorian Velvet and Frayed Burlap.

Step Nine: Using Kids Choice Glue, assemble the card. Using Joyful Wishes stamp set add a sentiment to the card.

How else do you think you could use the Holiday Elves all season long? Let us know in the comments below. Until then, Happy Crafting.
