Hello Crafty Friends! My name is Kathy Jo and I am very excited to be a Guest Designer on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. Today I would like to share an up-cycled holiday picture frame using Suzanne Cannon’s ‘A Way With Words’ – Believe die.
Instructions:
- Remove glass from frame. Apply glue and seal evenly on one side of the entire glass surface. Dry completely – overnight is best. Note that the seal will have a milky color. It will become clear in the next step.
- Apply clear crackle. Air dry.
- Remove back from picture frame. Apply glue along inside edges of frame and reassemble glass.
- Adhere double sided adhesive sheet to white card stock. Die cut.
- Die cut light blue velvet adhesive sheet.
- Adhere both die cuts to glass as shown.
- Create triple bow. Glue to frame with three mini pine cones.
The removed frame back was a personal choice. I like the look of the glass with an open frame back and I will place mini lights behind the frame to illuminate the crackled glass.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I do hope you enjoyed the up-cycled project and perhaps you will be able to re-purpose one of your frames this holiday season. Don’t forget to share your Elizabeth Craft Designs projects on Elizabeth Craft Designs Family Facebook page…we would love to see them!
Big Crafty Hugs,
Kathy Jo
