Cardmaking Joset Designs

Which Witch

August 22, 2019

It’s Karen here today. Did you see the NEW mini-release for Halloween?! So fun! I’m using some of them for a fun Halloween card today.

To create this card, I started with a piece of 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock and cut it in half to 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″. I scored it and folded it down the middle. I cut the other half into two pieces at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

I used one of the two smaller pieces of White Soft Finish Cardstock to create the card front using the Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies.

I used the other piece for the NEW Scarecrow dies colored the pieces as follows:

  • Pumpkin Head: Distress Oxide in Spiced Marmalade
  • Stick and arms: Copic E25
  • Rat: Copic C5
  • Hat and smock: Distress Oxide in Crushed Oliv
  • Hat Buckle: Copic Y26
  • Pumpkin Face and Hat Ribbon: Copic C7
  • Small Patch: Copic E07
  • Other patch: Copic V17

Tip: when cutting smaller pieces like the pumpkin face, always add Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Adhesive to the cardstock before running through your die-cutting machine. It turns your die-cut into a sticker!

The sentiment is from the Spooky Sentiments Clear Stamps and is cut with a die from the Labels 1 set. I cut a second die-cut in the green/black patterned paper and then cut it in half and adhered it to the back with just a bit of edge showing. I think this adds just a bit of interest to the sentiment panel.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to click onto the Elizabeth Craft Designs website to see the WHOLE new mini-release!

Craftily yours,

Karen
