There’s something about sparkling white glitter on red card that I love!
Hello! Samantha sharing this winter blessings Christmas card using the new Snowflake die and Classic Christmas sentiments stamp. Last month I shared a card (here) using the same die. Though they’re both red Christmas-themed cards they are very different, showing the versatility of the snowflake die.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the front of White Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step 2: Die cut all three snowflakes.
Step 3: Working one snowflake at a time, remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer on each snowflake and apply a generous amount of Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. (Option: Use Warm Diamond if preferred.) Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.
Step 3: Die cut three solid snowflakes from vellum.
Step 4: Heat emboss the sentiment in white as shown below.
Step 5: Adhere the glittered snowflakes to the matching vellum snowflakes, offset a bit to create a shadow effect. Arrange and adhere to the card front.
Step 6: (Optional) Add machine stitched details. Embellish card with sequins and a twine bow.
Step 7: Adhere panel to a 5 x 7 inch card base.
Hope you like today’s tutorial. I don’t think I am the only one to think that red and sparkling white glitter are a perfect combination for Christmas-themed cards.
Happy Crafting!
Samantha
