February 19, 2016

Hi,

It’s Kelly Booth here with a sparkly fun coffee card using new dies and a stencil from Karen Burniston!  I’m a big fan of coffee and am loving all the possibilities of the new Cup Pop Stand and the Stage it Stencils. I just can’t put them down….

Here is how the card looks when it’s closed and ready to be mailed:

Happy Rainbows

February 18, 2016

ECDHappyRainbow

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances Byrne here. For my card today I decided to create a birthday card using the new Rainbow Sky die set from the Joset Designs collection. I think everyone is happy when they see a rainbow, especially if they discover what is at the end of the rainbow so this makes a fun birthday card. For a little bit of extra fun I decided to make my rainbow glittery!

Pop it Ups Wednesday with Sandy – Tea Time

February 17, 2016

Hi, it’s Sandy Diller here to share a gift I made for a friend who likes tea.  I constructed this box, with a drawer, using chipboard but you could do the same thing with any box, simply by covering it with patterned paper. The top folds flat for mailing and then pops up for use in the kitchen.  I combined the Hanging Charm Pull Tab die with the Cup Pop Stand to create a cute and useful gift.

Here’s how I did it.  Let’s get started!

Class-Y Ladies: Anita and Els

February 16, 2016

It’s Els here today to share photos from a wonderful class I took at Doe@ding with Anita Izendoorn on February 13 while I was in the Netherlands. We made several projects including a pull card and a strawberry-filled circle. And since the class was timed for Valentine’s Day, there were cookies, chocolate, coffee and tea – as much as we wanted!

Yummy Strawberries Card

February 13, 2016

Hello everyone,

It’s Joset here today sharing this yummy strawberry-filled card with you. Who doesn’t adore strawberries and especially their bright red color? I love them all year round!

For this card I used my own design, the Strawberries die set, in combination with Fitted Frames 4 – Curvy Ovals, Stitched Ovals and a few other fun dies from the Els van de Burgt Studio collection. And of course the Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Inks, two products I just love using. Let’s get started!

Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other

February 12, 2016

By Judi Kauffman

This is my first time posting as a guest designer for Susan’s Garden Club. I thought I’d show how versatile my friend Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s Garden Patch dies can be! Each one creates a gridded frame with rows of open squares – much like a window with panes, and the squares that come out of the openings can be used as well.

There are four choices in the Garden Patch series, each includes mini-size flowers or leaves as well as the grid. Two of the dies have six square openings, one has nine and one has sixteen. If you’re into squares, there’s a lot to play with and a lot to like.

Hello Cards

February 11, 2016

Hello everybody, Sanna here again with my first post for February. When I first saw the Ribbons 1, Ropes 1, Chains 1 and Jewels 1 die sets I immediately wanted to create with them. They are so very versatile and can be used for so many kinds of projects! I chose to die cut some Clear Double Sided Adhesive with them and then cover those pieces with Silk Microfine Glitter. Boy, does that combination look fantastic!!!

Pop it Ups Wednesday with Frances – Coffee Solves Everything

February 10, 2016

KBWWCoffeeLever1wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances Byrne here with my first Pop it Ups Wednesday tutorial for 2016. Karen Burniston released a number of new Pop It Ups dies last month, one of which was the Cup Pop Stand Card die set. One of the dies included in the set is a half circle die used to create the saucer for the Pop Stand Card. Looking at this die I knew that it would be perfect to use to create a Lever Card or Inside Out Card, the name we called it when making this style card 25 years or so ago. Of course it is always easier to make cards when you have a die to help you, and I so love when you can find another use for a die other than the original intention.
