Karen here today from Craftily Yours! I hope everyone is finding reasons to stay positive during this difficult time. Scrapbooking good memories is a great way to do just that. Today’s Planner Essentials page is about a great time I had meeting an online crafty friend during my trip to DC last Winter. She and I had known each other for many years but had never met! On top of thinking about that fun memory, I used the new Art Journal line by Ilse and Charlene to make the page extra pretty!
I decided to go for a bright and cheery page.
To create this page, I started by cutting the page base with 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock with Planner Essentials 2.
Since I am working at home, I’d ordered some fun colored pens to just brighten my day. The same day I got them, I also received my NEW Watercolor Palette from Elizabeth Craft Designs – whoop! I decided to use them both to create my page.
I cut a piece of 90lb White Soft Finish Cardstock at 3-1/2″ by 7-1/4″ and then used the waterbrush included with the paint set to create splotches of different pretty pastel colors. I then stamped flowers from both the Spring Fling and First Sights of Spring stamp sets.
I outlined the stamps with the gel pens that I had received. I thought it was a cool effect. I also used the Make Your Mark template and some Broken China Distress Oxides and some white ink splatters to some more fun.
I think added this to a yellow piece of cardstock and cut it to have just a tiny border. I also adhered a Mandala die cut to the back having it poke out just a bit. I then added it to the Planner Essentials 2 page base. I added the picture and also outlined it with a gel pen. I added the #friends and my friend’s name with dies from Planner Essentials 23 – Retro Alphabet Trio. Of course, I backed it with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive to make it easy to add these letters to my page.
I added the “Right Now” stamp to the page tab stamped with the Moods stamps. I also added some Reinforcement Variety Pack die cuts. Love that set.
Thanks for stopping by today! Stay well.
Craftily yours, Karen
