September 21, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I struggle with male cards and I know lots of people who do to. With the Birthday Flip Card die you just have to choose patterned paper, assemble and add a cake and your done. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Diecut Birthday Flip Card (Base Solid) using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Fold all the score lines where the diecut scored. You now have your base card.

Step 2 – Diecut Birthday Flip Card (Top and Bottom Shapes) using Patterned Paper of your choice. This is a great way to use up your stash. Adhere to top and bottom of card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Birthday Flip Card (Base Solid using only the center rectangle portion) using Patterned Paper of your choice. Trim where the score lines are so you have the center only. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Party Time (cake) using colored cardstock of your choice and (horn) using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere to card using Kid’s Choice Glue.

This card can be used for several occasions by simply changing the sentiment and or patterned paper. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Have A Bee-utiful Day Interactive Card

September 6, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a fun DIY Interactive Card to share with you using the Stitched Rounded Squares and a piece you will need to make. To decorate the card I used the Honey Bear Dies, Adventure Edges Dies, Monster 2 for the flower. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Interactive Card In Action!

Step 1 – Diecut Stitched Rounded Square (the largest one) using Light Blue Cardstock for your background, White Cardstock for the clouds and Green Cardstock for the grass. Using a score tool (I’m using a Scor-Buddy) score the Blue Diecut on the right side 1/2″ and another at 1/2″. For the White and Green Diecut score on the left at 1/2″ and again at 1/2″. Fold on the score lines and match the folds to my card example.

Step 2 – Diecut Adventure Edges (clouds) using the White Diecut from Step 1. Use 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive and adhere the left side only to the Blue Diecut from Step 1. Diecut Adventure Edges (grass) using the Green Diecut from Step 1. Use 3mm Clear Doube Sided Adhesive and adhere the left side only to the Blue Diecut from Step 1.

Step 3 – Create a mechanism that will appear as if it is flying. You can skip this step if you want. Follow the below diagram and adhere to the inside of the grass (bring the open end of the grass to the left) and align it the crease. I will add a photo or video in a few days so be sure to come back. Once the mechanism is dry attach the flap on the right side. You can also attached the flap on the right side for the clouds using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. (I forgot to take the photos as I was assembling. I will have a tutorial coming shortly).

Step 4 – Diecut Honey Bear in various colors of cardstock. Assemble and adhere on top of the grass using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut the green diecut again with the Adventure Edges (grass). Before adhering to the card Stamp any sentiment of your choice. I used the Bee Sentiments from an older release so this will apply to only people who have it in their stash. But any sentiment will do. Adhere to card front but leave about a 1/4″ without glue so you will be able to adhere the flowers.

Step 6 – Diecut Monster 2 (flowers) in various colors of cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 7 – Diecut Honey Bear (bumblebee dies). Assemble and adhere 2 to the card front and the 3rd one to the inside flip mechcanism.

As I mentioned above I will come back and add some pictures to add the mechanism. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Yes you are seeing Halloween items in the stores. No it’s not your imagination. However the Monster Release came just in time for Halloween. I used the Monster 2, Halloween Accessories along with the Pull Tab dies to create my Interactive Sweet ‘n Scary Card. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Happy Birthday Little Monster

July 19, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I adore the new Monster Release from Joset Designs. It has 3 adorable Monsters and is a must have in your stash. I used the Monster 1, Party Time, Monster Hugs Sentiment Stamps and Dotted Background. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7″ x 8 1/2″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Dotted Background Slimline using White Soft Finish. Insert the diecut back to the die but turn it and diecut again. There is very little overlap but that’s ok because it will be covered. Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″. Place the Dotted Background diecut and with any color medium mark the center in the color you will fill. Remove the diecut and now color in a circle. You can use the diecut to make sure the whole circle is colored. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue and adhere to card front using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 3 – Diecut Monster 1 using Colored Cardstock or White Soft Finish and color in using any medium of your choice. I used Copics in order to create some dimension. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Party Time (Balloons, Party Horn and Party Hat) again in Colored Cardstock or White Soft Finish and color in. Assemble and adhere to card.

Step 5 – Stamp Monster Hugs Sentiment using Versamark, sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess, and heat set it with a heat tool. Trim it out and adhere to card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8” x 6”, score at 4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (in between an A2 and Mini Slimline card)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 3/8” x 4 6/8”. Apply Ink of your choice using 3 tones of Purple Blue using a Blender Brush. I used water reactive inks so I could splash some water to create some texture to my background. For added interest splash some White Gouache mixed with a little water. Let Dry.

Step 3 – Diecut Snow Globe using White Soft Cardstock. Place it on the background created in Step 3 to cut out the domed shape on top. I marked it with a pencil using the outer edge and trimmed off about 1mm inside the pencil line. Adhere to the background to the card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Put the Snow Globe frame aside from now.

Step 4 – Diecut Village Edges using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Trim to 3 3/8” length and adhere to the bottom of the background using Kid’s Choice Glue. I diecut 2 layers. I kept the diecut windows and doors intact. Optional – diecut the Trees in colors of your choice. I used Teal Cardstock.

Step 5 – Adhere Acetate Sheet on the bottom side of the Snow Globe frame using Glue of your choice. Let dry. Add thin Foam Tape to the backside frame. Trim the edges overhanging. Add Sequins of your choice to the top of the card front to the center. I used Purple Sequins and Silver Stars. Remove the release sheet from the Foam Tape and carefully secure it to the card front.

Step 6 – Diecut Snow Globe (bottom) 3 times. Stamp Holiday Sparkle sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the center. Attach each layer leaving the sentiment on top and adhere to the underneath of the Snow Globe using Foam Tape.
