Sending Hugs & Kisses Mini Slimline Card

March 8, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a card to share using the new Daffodils Dies. I made this card about 2 months ago and thought a sky background with the yellow Daffodils would pop them. Little did I know then what these 2 colors together represented. It saddens me deeply with what is happening in Ukraine. I am sending prayers for all of Ukraine along with the rest of the World. Be strong and Be Safe!

Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Fitted Oval using a Masking Sheet. Place the negative to the card front. Apply Ink of your choice using a Blender Brush in Hues of Blue starting with the lightest in the center and working out to darkest. The inks I used are water reactive so I splashed some water using a fan brush. You can skip this step. Remove the mask and let dry.

Step 3 – Diecut Daffodils using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Keep the pieces together and color in each piece using any color medium of your choice. I used Copics. See photos below so the colors I used. Assemble and adhere to card using Kid’s Choice Glue.

Step 4 – Diecut Sentiments 2 – Just Because (sending) using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Keep diecut inside and Stamp the coordinating sentiment (sending) using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Stamp Bear Hugs sentiment using Versamark on Black Cardstock. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Trim and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

This card can be used for many occasions by simply changing the sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
