Karen here today from Craftily Yours! My family and I went to “Sunny” Southern California earlier this year, and it RAINED. I scrapbooked the results for my special moments planner.
To create these pages, I first “colored” the backgrounds by using Distress Oxide inks on 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock. The colors I used were Seedless Preserves, Faded Denim, Broken China and Peacock Feathers.
For page one, I die cut the base using Planner Essentials 1. I added a die cut Dashing Circle (cut in half) from Fly & Scrap 6×6 paper. The other elements on the page are from Planner Essentials 5. (The patterned paper is from Fly & Scrap; the blue is from my hoard of supplies.) I added a couple stamps from the Moods set.
On the second page, I used the Planner Essentials 1 again for the base (but I turned it the other way…upside-down). I added a pocket made from wrinkled vellum – cut from Planner Pocket 2. I added the word “Proof” cut with Blackboard Alphabet dies onto a Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die. I also added the other half of the circle as a pull-tab.
In the pocket is some hidden journaling below the picture. Fun way to add a little surprise to the page. The stamp is also from the Moods set. CuTe set!
Thank you for stopping by today!
