Art Journal Collection Planner Essentials

Hoera

April 5, 2023

Hii everyone, I’m back with a new blogpost for you. Today I share this birthday tag. It is for someone who turns 80.

First I started with the biggest tag from the Nested Tags in combination with the Reminiscene the Book 5. At the background I did some stamping with the ticket stamp.

For the pocket I used a dies from the Art Journal Special ‘Journal file 1’ and the small tag who fits in it. I also made a smaller tag with the Nested Tags. I did some stamping with the Dutch sentiment stamps from Esther, which said Hooray it is today, birthday. Oh and I also stamped with a reinforcement stamp.

I also did some stamping at the pocket with the stamps from Devid’s realease. A great combination I think.

At least I put the date of birth at te tag and add a reinforcement.

Thankyou for visiting and see you soon.

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Thinking of you card!

April 28, 2022

Hi everyone, thank you for joining me today for my inspirational post. I was feeling the need to create with some bright fun colors, so I hope you enjoy this fruitastic card!! so lets get started!

Step 1: Start with a 4×4 square piece of cardstock, next I took my Make your Mark Stencil and applied yellow ink directly to the back of the stencil I choose the honey come side, next, I lightly spritzed it with some water and pressed onto the cardstock.

Step 2: I took some of the Reminiscence washi tape #1 and ripped up a few pieces and added them to the card, as per picture above and set card panel aside.

Step 3: Cut and ink your squirrel, instead of the nut being brown I used red cardstock to make it into a strawberry (a great idea from another ECD Ambassador) I added pink to his cheeks and two white dots from a gel pen.

Step 4: Cut your strawberries from red card stock and the leaves from green cardstock and ink the edges. I used my paper shaping kit to add a little dimension to my strawberries and leaves.

Step 5: Next I assembled my Squirrel, Strawberries and leaves to my card panel as per picture above.

Step 6: I took some white acrylic paint and speckled the front of my card, set aside and let dry.

Step 7: I took a piece of card stock 5 x 10 and score @ 5″ to make my card front.

Step 8: I repeated the same process as the front of the card to the inside, by adding some yellow ink to the back of the stencil spritzing it and laying it down onto the cardstock.

Step 9: I added a stamp sentiment and layered it onto the black cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card. Last I added a strawberry, vine and flower.

Step 10: I cut a piece of black card stock 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and matted my front panel to it, then I added it to my card base.

I hope you enjoyed todays post. Have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

Joset Designs Soft Finish Cardstock

Frosty

October 14, 2021

Hi all, It’s Lisanne here! Welcome to my blopost today. It feels like it’s been a while since I last shared a project with you. Last week I saw a picture that reminded me that is it 75 days until Christmas. I can’t wait hihi.

So for this post I made a winter card (looks like Christmas).

For the base I used the Stitched Indented Rectangle. I cut the largest rectangle from the 240 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock. One piece smaller is from the 300 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock. Why I use two different weights is because I wanted to make a background with the Distress Mica Spray (Frosted Juniper and Snow Flurries) and this works better on the 300 gr. After using the Mica Spray I added some Distress Icicle crackle paste (this has to dry a long time).

While my background was drying, I created Jack Frost the snowman. The snowman is one of my favorite dies I think. I used the 240 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock for all my characters and accessories. I colored Jack with Distress Ink. Than I made a tree, which is a die from the Mason Jar, who is standing next to Jack.

I thought the background was just a little bit blank so I die cut the beautiful doily from the Art Journal Special, put some embossing powder at the top and adhered this at the background. Because the background is not smooth, I adhered everyting with glossy accents so everything stays in place.

For the snow boarder at the bottom I used the Winter Edges from the Art Journal Special. The word ‘Frosty’ is perfect for this card.

So this is my winter card for today. I hope you feel inspired to make your own frosty card! Thank you for following me along and perhaps chat soon in a Facebook Live!

Greetings Lisanne

Splish Splash

June 23, 2021

Hii all! It’s Lisanne here. It is time for a new blogpost from me. So the weather here in the Netherlands getting better and better. The Under the Sea Collection is perfect to use at this time of the year. I really like this Collection in combination with the square TN.

For this pages I used the Poloroid page and the beautiful Rainbow of Happiness paper. I used the paper with the blues and green colours. So let’s start with the Octopus page, doesn’t he look cute?

The Puzzle Page is a dies set with a lot of dies. I used the biggest frame and the splash. I used a thin denim sheet, that looks perfect with the Rainbow of Happiness paper. I used the frame without the splash with the Octopus.

The octopus is coloured with Distress Ink, some high lights with the a gell pen and glossy accents at his eyes. The eyes look rounder. But be carefully with these accents, they have to dry a little time.

I adhere some coral from the Summer Journal Kit in different colours to the page. Love all these colour explosion. The little fish at the right is also from the Summer Journal kit. At least I make a life buoy, which is a dies from the Whale, and stamped the text Splish Splash.

The second page is with the sea Turtle. He is so adorable. I told you that I made a splash from a denim sheet. The part who felt out is glued at the Turtle page. But only half of the splash, the other half is at the back. I also glued some waves from the Summer Journal kit at this page. I didn’t know if you see this that good, but for now it looks good haha.

I build up the Sea Turtle with ofcourse Distress Ink. Only the Turtle wasn’t enough for me. So at this page I made coral to but now with different colours. In combination with the other page, it looks beautiful!

I also made some accessories from the diving accessories. But I think they are laying a very long time at the bottom of the sea. They turning a little bit green haha.

I think I’ve told you everything about these two TN pages. I’ve had a lot of fun making these pages with all these beautiful colours.

Thankyou so much for reading! And hopefully I see you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink
