Hello everyone,

Easter is just around the corner so we wanted to give you some fun Easter project ideas today. Whether you want to create a special Easter page in your planner, make a card with our lovely Bunny or Spring Basket dies, or create a pretty Easter gift bag, we hope that the following projects created by our talented Design Team Members will give you some inspiration!

Our first project is this beautiful “hello sunshine!” card created by Sandy Diller who used the Spring Basket die set to decorate her card. For the bright background she used the Chevron Background die. Love this combination!

Next project is from Annette Green who made this fun Easter gift bag. She used the bunny head and carrot from the Bunny die set to decorate the tag and combined this with a beautiful rose flower from the Planner Essentials 6. Now time to start looking for some yummy easter eggs to fill this bag!

Marjolijn van Elsberg created a beautiful page for her planner using a combination of dies from the Planner Essentials line. Love the pretty chevron edge she created to her page. A great way to document special moments in your life.

Luciana Telesca used the Spring Basket and Bunny die sets to create this gorgeous soft colored card for Easter. For the word “Easter” she used the letters dies from the Blackboard Alphabet set. Love how she added the hat to the bunny.

Another great card using the Spring Basket and Bunny dies creates by Katelyn Grosart. Katelyn used soft pastel colors for her flowers and eggs that match perfect with the soft patterned background. Love the little bunny hiding in the basket.

Samantha Klaebe created this colorful card using the Little Chick die in combination with the grass boarder from the Tree die set. For the sentiment she used the “Happy hot chocolate season” stamp and removed the “hot” to create “Happy chocolate season”. How creative!

A beautiful elegant card from Tanja Kabel is up next. Tanja used the leftover parts of one of the eggs from the Elegant Easter Eggs Small die set and added some Metallic Gold Craft Drops for dimension. For the background, she used the Stitched Rectangles. A great idea for a quick and elegant Easter card.

Last but not least is this pretty card created by Karen Ostergard. Karen always knows how to combine elegant with cute! In this card she combines the elegant Mandala die with the cute Bunny. For the background she used the Stitched Rounded Rectangles.

Calling Out For Spring!

Hello Paper Gardeners, Diane here with a spring card for you!

Winter is still roaring pretty strong in my part of the world, even with February behind us. The sunlight as been shy and we are longing for wonderful warm days. With this card, I thought I would make an offering to Mother Nature and let her know that we are ready for a change in scenery! Anyone want to join in?

Step 1: Background

  • For this card, you will need a 6 inches X 12 inches piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb), score and fold in half to make a 6 X 6 inches card.
  • From a lavender cardstock, cut a 5 3/4 inches square.
  • Out of the White Soft Finish cardstock (90 lb), cut a 5 1/2 inches square.
  • On the 5 1/2 square piece of white cardstock, spray some lavender and yellow inks. Allow to dry or use an embossing gun.
  • Over the layer of sprayed ink, dab some Lilac and Yellow Distress Oxide. Make some different intensity of colors by putting more or less pressure on the dabber. Again let dry.
  • Cut out a stencil using the Circle Background (#1262) die.
  • With the stencil and a make-up applicator, apply some White PanPastel, here and there to draw some white circles.
  • Adhere all layers, one on top of the others, with some Double Sided Tape.

Step 2: Egg

  • Die cut the Elegant Easter Egg Large (#1628) using some White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb) covered with some Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
  • Peel-off the protective sheet and cover with some Lavender (620) – Silk Microfine Glitter.
  • Rub the glitter with fingers to make it really shine.
  • On a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb), cut the outer part of the egg.
  • Glue the glittered part of the egg on the white egg using Kids Choice Glue.
  • Using a lavender ribbon, tie a bow around the egg.
  • Glue the glittered egg on top of the card base.

Step 3: Tulips

  • Using the Garden Notes – Tulips 2 (#1296) dies set, cut 3 times the 2 petals dies and 3 time the pistils die, out of White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb).
  • Out of a green cardstock, cut out 3 stems, a couple of individual leaves and 3 calyx.
  • Color the tulips using some ink marker in a variegating manner. Leaving the middle white, brush on light strokes of lavender. Use a green marker to color the center of the tulips and the pistils.
  • On a Molding Pad and using the Loop Tool (from the 4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set) , shape the tulips to give them dimension.
  • Work the leaves using the Leaf Pad and the Leaf Tool from the
    from the 4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set.
  • Shade the edges of the leaves with some green ink and the vein with some Yellow Bright PanPastel.
  • Finish the leaves with the Medium Ball Stylus also from the
    4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set to give some dimension.

Step 4: Feverfew-1

  • Using the Garden Notes – Feverfew-1 (#1589) cut the following:
    • Out of White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb), cut 5 little flowers.
    • In some yellow cardstock, cut one plate of each of the 2 sizes of centers.
    • Using some green cardstock, cut 4 times all leaves.
  • Again, with the 4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set, shape the little flowers and the centers.
  • Shape the leaves with the tool set and shade them with a dark green ink. You can watch this video to see how Susan Tierney Cockburn does it!

Step 5: Grecian Windflower

  • Die cut 3 flowers from the Garden Notes – Grecian Windflower (# 1590) out of White Soft Finish Cardstock (90 lb).
  • Die cut 6 times the pistils and 2 plates of centers out of the same cardstock.
  • Color the petals with a purple ink marker leaving the center white. Color both sides of the petals.
  • Shape the petals with the Loop Tool and the Reverse tweezers (both part of the 4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set).
  • Using the Fine Pointed Scissors, cut in half each pistil.
  • Dip the tips of the pistils in Kids Choice Glue and then dip it in the Yellow Pollen. Let dry.
  • Using the smallest Ball Stylus of the 4 pcs. All Metal Tool Set, cup the middle.
  • Using a toothpick and a carving block or eraser, cup each little center.
  • Susan Tierney Cockburn has a great video showing how to make those beautiful Grecian Windflowers.
  • Using the Kids Choice Glue, assemble the flowers on the card as shown in the picture below.

How To Make This Little Chick and Bunny Easter Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I have a fun Easter card to share with you! It’s combined using some old and new product from Joset Designs –– the new character die Little Chick and the Bunny die. Below are the instructions so you can make your own super fun Easter Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish cardstock to 5 1/4” x 4”. Diecut Adventure Edges II using a scrap piece of cardstock. Using ink of your choice create the clouds on the upper section of the cardstock. I used Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass.

Step 3 – Diecut Adventure Edges II for create the Foliage. Dark green for the Foliage and lighter green for the grass. Adhere to the background created from Step 2.

Step 4 – Diecut Little Chick and Bunny using Color cardstock or Ink it yourself. Assemble the characters using Kids Choice Glue. Adhere to card. The big egg shell under the grass and the smaller egg shell under the grass. Adhere the backside Bunny over the big egg shell and remember to tuck some carrots in there. Adhere the Little Chick to the left bottom side.

Step 5 – Stamp Spring Sentiments using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the panel just above the Bunny. Adhere the entire panel to the card front.
