Easter Cards With A Touch Of Sparkle

April 10, 2019

It’s Karen here today, sharing a couple cards I made for Easter! Easter is April 21 this year, so there’s still plenty of time to get a few craft projects done.

Here are the steps to replicate these cards:

Step 1. From 90lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet in half cross-wise (at 5 1/2″) and fold in half.

Step 2. From the Fly and Scrap 6×6 paper, cut two Stitched Rectangles (2nd largest one) to create the card bases.

Step 3. Cut another pattern from the Fly & Scrap 6×6 paper at 1.5″ x 6″ and die cut with the same Stitched Rectangle die, as shown in the picture below. I cut it face up, so I could line it up properly. Adding a smidge of washi tape would also be helpful to ensure the paper doesn’t move while die cutting.

Step 4. Wrap a piece of lace around the bottom of the card and add the strip of paper.

Step 5. Die cut a Fitted Oval and stamp the sentiment Happy Easter from the Spring Sentiments Clear Stamps. Die cut a Dotted Scallop Oval using pink (or coral) cardstock. Layer these two pieces.

Step 6. Die cut the Elegant Easter Egg Small from 90lb White Soft Finish Cardstock with 101mm once with adhesive stuck to the top side and once with adhesive stuck to the bottom side for each card.

Step 7. Add Silk Microfine Glitter to the egg that has adhesive on top. I used Petal Pink from the Bloom collection on one card and Faded Denim for the other card.

Step 8. Die cut the pattern onto the egg with the adhesive on back and adhere it to the glittered egg.

Step 9. Die cut a few sprigs of leaves from the Jungle Leaves dies. Also create a few Garden Notes Feverfew 1 flowers and leaves.

Step 10. Add the ovals, egg (with pop tape) and flowers and leaves to the card base.

And there you have it!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today!

Craftily yours,

Karen
