Hi Everyone! It’s Karen here. Have you ever looked at the number of die shapes available at Elizabeth Craft Designs?! Hearts, stars, fishtails, squares, circles, octagons – the fun never ends! I combined several to make a card today, also using the Row Houses and Home Sweet Home Clear Stamp sets.
Welcome Baby Die Cut Cards
July 1, 2018Hello there, it´s Sanna here again with another guest design team post. I have been wanting to use the Jungle Cuties stamp set for a while now and found that the stamps perfectly fit a cute style ‘Welcome Baby’ card theme. So, today´s post is all about cute Welcome Baby cards.

Planning a wedding or other big event? Need to keep track of invitations sent and RSVPs received, the menu and other aspects of the special event? Give some inexpensive composition books a facelift and you can do it in style!
To customize the books for use as a journal instead of a planner, incorporate the word ‘Courage’ or ‘Memories’ or ‘Faith’ or ‘Make a Wish’ instead. And ‘Special Day’ remains a good choice for journals as well as planner books. Suzanne Cannon’s A Way With Words collection has so many wonderful options.

It wasn’t love at first sight, but the 4 Seasons die set ended up becoming a favorite! (Suzanne and Els, you two were right, it’s so versatile!) I’ve used it on calendars and in planners and journals, and it has appeared on many, many cards. Today’s tutorial adds seven more to the count. They’re all super easy, and as I always say: Easy isn’t cheating!
I’ve chosen the Spring and Summer dies to help usher in the next two seasons, but these projects could easily be customized for Fall and Winter later in the year. Just change the papers and embossing folders to leaves, snowflakes, and other wintry themes.
Beginners: I’ve added some tips especially for you. Keep scrolling – you’ll find them after the instructions!

What do you do with pieces of cardstock and paper filled with random brushstrokes, sheets used to wipe excess paint off of brushes before washing them? What do you do with the little bits and pieces of cardstock that fall out of die cut words (the negative pieces), and what do you do with the larger pieces that surrounded the words?
Make CARDS, that’s what! Care to join me?

Shimmer Sheetz ornaments add a special touch to a tree, mantel, or gift box. They’re also fun to mail instead of – or inside of – a holiday card!
Each of the three snowflakes in the new die set includes partially-cut elements that can be bent upward for dimension, a beautiful detail. Instead of cutting the snowflakes out of sparkly Shimmer Sheetz, I went for the opposite, the unexpected: Matte snowflakes with a sparkly 2-layer Shimmer Sheetz background.
Match the color of the snowflake to the color of the outer circle (Shown: White Iridescent SS). Choose a contrasting color for the Stitched Circle just behind the snowflake (Shown: Ruby Gemstone and Fire Opal Gemstone SS). See the supply list for more color options or pick your own combo!
Shimmer Sheetz is a challenge to photograph, but amazing in person, and the way light reflects off the surface of the Stitched Circle makes the ornaments really special.
