Non-Traditional Thanksgiving Card

Non-Traditional Floral Thanksgiving Card

Hi everyone! It’s Elena today and this time of year always makes me want to create some cards for Thanksgiving. I don’t own many traditional Thanksgiving themed stamps or dies so I decided to try an experiment to see if I could create a card with a Thanksgiving feel using the Color My Flowers stamps and dies from this past spring, but with fall colors and some easy, fun techniques. I like the result and hope you do too. It’s always nice for me to find new ways to use stamps and dies that I may not normally think of for certain holidays! Here’s how I made the card:

Tropical Flower Card

October 14, 2018

Hello everybody, it’s Sanna here today and I’d like to share a tropical flower card idea with you.

It has been an amazingly warm summer here in Austria this year and even today, while I am writing this post, we have +20°C. So now you understand why I am still in a summer mood. Thus, my guest design team post today will be a summer card.

Hello my crafty friends, Christine here with another card I have designed using the Ultimate Glittered Napkin Technique.  This technique is addicting, such fun and rewarding, and you will soon be looking at all napkins in a different way.  I wish the glitter effect showed up better in photos as it really is sparkly.

Basket of Love

August 10, 2018

Hello, it is Christine today with a card project using several of Susan’s Garden Notes dies and a background done with Distress Oxide Inks.  My version of Love-In-A-Mist flowers is based on seeds I had bought called “Chocolate & Cream”(I think they may also be called “African Bride”).  Unfortunately the seeds did not germinate as they were probably planted a little late, but I will try again for next year.

Faux Parchment Craft with Background Stamps

May 27, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to May’s Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow. Last month you may have seen that I fell in love with the Floral Background Stamp.  I think this stamp is so versatile. As soon as I saw it I had so many ideas!  Today I am going to be showing you a faux parchment craft technique.  I did Pergamano many years ago but it was very labor-intensive, while this technique is quick and easy because the stamp and embossing do almost all of the work for you!  Let’s take a look at the project…

I absolutely love the subtle color effect on this card. You can also make it more intense and in the video I will show you how. We will also be exploring some of the wonderful tools Elizabeth Craft Designs has that make this technique a cinch.

Hello My Crafty Friends,

It’s Christine here today sharing a card I created for my dear friend since high school (my 50th class reunion is this summer, hers was last summer).   We now live an hour and a half apart but try to meet halfway for a day of shopping, eating and catching up every so often.

Feeling Blue? Floral Monotone Card

April 21, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Alexandra from The Hedgehog Hollow here today! I’m so excited that we have brought back Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow.  I will be here once a month with a cardmaking video tutorial.  Today I decided to use the new Ocean release from Tonic Studios to color in the stunning Floral Background stamp.  This is such a versatile stamp, I have so many ideas with it, so expect to see more projects featuring this stamp on the Hollow!

I love how the on-point background just pops and looks so elegant, you could of course do this in any color scheme but I love the effect the blues give.

Bright and Colorful Floral Easter Card

March 19, 2018

I always enjoy stretching my stamps by using non-holiday stamps for holiday cards, mixing them with some holiday-themed accessories. For this card, I have combined flowers from the Laundry Party Clear Stamps with Easter eggs from the Spring Sentiments Clear Stamps set to create a bright and colorful Easter greeting. Here’s how I made the card: Continue Reading
