Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. In the new Joset Designs Release there is a wonderful array of holiday dies and stamp sets. Today I will be showcasing the Holiday Bird House die set and Joyful Wishes Sentiment Stamp set, along with the Fitted and Stitched Indented Rectangle Dies. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.
Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2 size)
Step 2 – Diecut Stitched Indented Rectangles using ModaScrap Unconventional Xmas Patterned Paper. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Step 3 – Diecut Holiday Bird House using ModaScrap Unconventional Xmas Patterned Paper for the main house and White Soft Finish Cardstock for all other pieces. (You could use coloured Cardstock but I coloured all the pieces using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. Assemble and adhere the main house, opening and top of house using Kid’s Choice Glue.
Step 4 – Stamp Joyful Wishes Sentiment on the snow bank diecut from Step 3 using Versamark Onyx Black Ink. Assemble and adhere the rest of the pieces from Step 3.

Today I am featuring the English Rose. My aunt had an entire garden of Peace Roses I would see just about every day when I’d walk to her home to visit her as a child… and, play Canasta. So, I tried to “go back“ and create her roses. I made a small bud to go along with the main Rose.
Baby’s breath, Berry branch with leaves, and ribbon with some gold threads were used to fill in my project.
It is a 6” X 6” inch card with decorative paper as a layer for the background. Suzanne Cannon’s “ Bliss“ was used to describe these lovely flowers. I tried to keep it simple – to showcase the rose! Of course, there is a ladybug!

Everything about this card reminds me of Christmas growing up. My Oma would have these beautifully painted wooden Christmas trinkets she brought over from Germany –– and every Christmas they would make their way back into her home bringing Christmas cheer and excitement into the house.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: Using a variety of cardstock and specialty paper die cut all the pieces in the Holiday Birdhouse die.
Step 2: Stamp the sentiment on a kraft card front measuring 10.5cm x 15.5cm.
Step 3: Using red and yellow cardstock cut out 4 thin strips and adhere these to the top and bottom of your cardfront.
Step 4: (Optional) Add machine stitched detail to your card front.
Step 5: Adhere Double Sided Adhesive to kraft card stock and die cut the birds from the Holiday Birdhouse die set.
Step 5: Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Light Gold). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.
Step 6: Assemble all the die cut Birdhouse pieces to the center of your card front. Embellish card with sequins and a twine bow. Adhere card front to an A6 cardbase.

I wanted to share with you a friendly game that one of Elizabeth Craft Designs Family Page members, Joseph Nguyen and I have been playing. We will be chatting and creating, and somehow it turns into a personal best challenge. So we’ve started creating crafting challenges, and this last challenge was to use pumpkins in our creation. This is my contribution –– “challenge accepted!” (its all in fun ?)
I thought that I would share how I created my answer to his challenge with you. Enjoy!
I first started with the pumpkin die from Susan’s Garden. What a beautiful fall vessel to put flowers in. I used distress oxide inks to color the pumpkin. I used a fine brush to brush and blend the three colors onto the pumpkin.
I choose flowers that have fall blooms, I used Forsythia, Helenium and Wheat.
I’ll show how I created the wheat using distress oxide ink and the fabulous soft finish card stock. I love this paper! (Not much shaping required to create the wheat.)
After I made the Wheat, I die cut the Forsythia branch twice, giving me 4 branches total, but I only make three and use the extra flower petals to fill in. I colored using these Copic colors. I love how easy these are to make and adds some radiant color to any paper bouquet that you are making.
The focus of this bouquet was the Helenium. I took some detailed photos of this process because the colors that are used are pictured so that you get some nice blending.

I’ll share a tip with you: Color the cardstock with your marker BEFORE you die cut these and you wont have to color them individually! Saves a lot of time.

I die cut two of these and cut the “legs” with Els’ scissors, dip them into the glue then the gold pollen before assembly. Simply offset the two layers and glue together with the Kids Choice Glue.
This really was a fun and beautiful way to wish for cooler weather to come in the Fall.
Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you a pretty wedding card perfect to give to that special couple getting married this year.
To create my card, I’ve used a variety of dies and patterned paper from ModaScrap. I hope you enjoy my tutorial!
Step one. Choose a piece of patterned paper from the ModaScrap Pink Cotton Candy Paper Pack. Die cut the 4″ Dashing Rectangle out of the patterned paper piece. Die cut the 4 1/2″ Dashing Rectangle out of the kraft cardstock piece. Ink the edges of both pieces with Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step two. Die cut the Lace Corner twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the Lace Corner twice out of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of all four corners using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step three. Die cut the 2 3/4″ Dashing Circle out of kraft cardstock. From the Wedding Sentiments stamp set, you’ll need the connected hearts stamp. Apply VersaMark Ink to the heart stamp and stamp onto the circle. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp again until the entire circle is covered. Ink the edges of the circle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step four. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Mr & Mrs stamp and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Fussy cut the Mr & Mrs out.
Step five. Choose another patterned paper piece out of Pink Cotton Candy Paper Pack. Die cut one of the hearts from the True Love die set out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the heart using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step six. Choose a third piece of patterned paper from the Pink Cotton Candy Paper Pack. Die cut the hearts from the Love, Life Tag out of the patterned paper three times. Ink the edges of the three hearts using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step seven. Adhere the 4″ Dashing Rectangle to the 4 1/2″ Dashing Rectangle.
Step eight. Adhere the white lace corner to the kraft lace corner, making sure a bit of the kraft lace corner is showing. Repeat the previous step for the other corner. Adhere one of the lace corners to the bottom right side of the rectangles. Adhere the other lace corner to the top left side of the rectangles.
Step nine. Foam square the dashing circle to the middle of the cardfront. Foam square the heart to the middle of the circle.
Step ten. Adhere the Mr & Mrs sentiment to the middle of the heart. Adhere the three hearts around the large heart. Cut a piece out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 5 3/4″ x 9″, score at 4 1/2″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Have you seen our new release yet? We released a brand new collection from Joset van de Burgt and IT. IS. ADORABLE!
Over the last week, our Design Team has been sharing a lot of projects they’ve made with the new collection. You may have missed some of them, so we thought we’d share them here, along with some others we’ve been keeping to ourselves ?
This is a card created for my sister’s birthday. Its inspiration is from a small flower arrangement that I saw at a local florist that I thought I’d try to re-create on my card for her. The flowers are different, the original had carnations, but I liked the size and shape of the Clematis better. The container they used was a small mercury glass jar. I chose to use the Tin Milk Can and trim it closer to the shape of the jar they used. Silver gilding flakes and metallic paste gave me just what I was looking for, for the finish.
Here’s how it came together:
Cut and colour the Hathorne branch and berries using Copic markers and Nuvo Crystal drops. Set aside to dry.
Create a 6X6 card base from 110lb Soft Finish cardstock.
Cut a 5.75X5.75 piece of co-ordinating cardstock, adhere to front of card base.
Back a piece of 90lb cardstock with double sided adhesive. Cut, using the geometric shape from the Planner Patterns die set. Adhere to card base slightly off centre. Set aside.
Cover both front and back of a piece of cardstock with clear double-sided adhesive. Cut using the Tin Milk Can die. Carefully cut off the top of the milk can to create a vase shape. Peel off protective sheet from the front side. Use silver gilding flakes to cover can. Rub with metallic silver paste to create shadow. Adhere to card front keeping the middle raised with 3d tape.
Cut all flower, wheat, and leaf pieces, from 90lb cardstock.
Colour and shape the wheat sheaths. Place them in the can.
Colour and shape the Hosta leaves
Colour and shape the Baby’s breath.
Colour the center of the Clematis. Leave the petals white. Shape using Susan’s tools and molding mat.
Using Kid’s Choice Glue to adhere all to the card front as in the photo.
Be sure to remember that just about anything can be used as
inspiration for your cardmaking.
