Gnome Planner pages!

Hi Everyone, Thank you for joining me today! As we are celebrating Father’s day on this Sunday I take time to be thankful for all types of families we are part of and how happy that there is no place like Gnome. Lets get started…

Gnomes

Step 1: Out of different colored cardstock cut out your gnomes, hills, flowers, fence, sky and cattails from Adventures Edges 2, Once up a time accessories and Gnomes. I inked the edges with coordinating distress ink just a shade darker to highlight your images. Once you have attached your images together and inked your edges, put aside.

Step 2: For the Second page cut out another mushroom, cattails, fence, hill and flowers from Adventures Edges 2 and Once Upon a Time Accessories from your choice of cardstock and ink the edges .

Step 3: Out of Planner Essentials 4 , cut out 2 planner pages from your choice of designer paper and ink your edges. As per the main image.

Step 4: Cut out your Mushroom House card, next out of the same color of card stock cut out your front part of your mushroom house and accessories, including the top, door, window, small mushroom, grass, flowers, butterfly (from Once Upon a Time Accessories) from your choice of cardstock. Once everything is cut I inked my edges with Brown Distress ink and assembled my pieces. I added the insert piece to the back of my house so I can add this insert to my planner book. In the inside of my mushroom house I added a photo mat for a 3×3 photo, a small mushroom, grass and a few flowers.

Step 5: Once all my pages have been assembled I will add my reinforcement rings and speckle my pages with white paint.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post, if you have any questions about my post please send me your question to Katie Porcina on FB.

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day!

Gifts from the garden!

March 28, 2022

Hi everyone, Happy Monday! Its Katie here with a cute little project idea that I wanted to share with you all. I am super excited to get into my garden this year and start my veggie patch, but the ground is still a little frozen here in Alberta, Canada. So I thought I would start by making a few gifts for my gardening friends.

Step 1: Start by cutting out your bunny and carrots from Joset’s Bunny die #1929 using your choice of coordinating cardstock. I inked the edges with grey ink and added some pink to the bunnies cheeks and assembled the bunny and carrots as per the photo above.

Cut your hat and brim from Joset’s Farmer set #1859 using a yellow and red cardstock, I inked the edges with brown ink. Cut one or two black crows from Joset’s Scarecrow die #1907 and one grey crate from Farm Accessories die #1858, and ink the edges with dark brown.

Out of kraft cardstock cut out a Seed Packet from -Sidekick Essentials #16, I inked the edges with brown ink and added a piece of acetate in the window of the seed packet. Then with black ink, I stamped the Seeds label from In my garden stamp set #CS212 onto the top part of the seed packet. Last step, fold up the edges and glue your pocket together and set aside.

Next, I Took apart some sisal rope and added it to the brim of the bunnies hat. (I wanted to make the hat look like it was coming a part) I added the tiny crow to the center.

Next lay your images out as per the picture above or change it up, and adhere your items to the seed packet.

*Optional- I like to speckle with white and brown paint.

My favorite and final step to this project, sign and date the back of your envelope and add your seeds!

The best part of this project is you can create a whole bunch of different seed packets, wildflowers, sunflowers and corn. Just cut out your images and add it to your bunnies crate.

I think cutting out pumpkins from Joset’s Hay Ride #1909 and add them to your crate would be a perfect way to give some of your favorite pumpkin seeds.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post for today, have a wonderful day!!

Easter’s on its way!

February 28, 2022

Hi everyone, Happy Monday!

Today I am showing you this super cute Easter double page layout for my planner essentials album using the new Bunnies, Easter basket and Daffodils from Joset’s new collect. I can not get enough of these bunnies! I have made a stock pile of them for cards and future projects so stay tuned for those.

Lets get started!

Step 1: Create two bunnies from the Bunny Die #1929 from Joset’s new collection, I created these bunnies from white, grey, dark grey and black card stock, I added a little pink ink for the cheeks before attaching the whiskers. Next I created 3 carrots from orange and green cardstock.

Step 2: Next I cut out the Easter Basket from Die #1932 from dark brown, light brown and pink card stock. I inked the edges with brown ink. Next I cut out white flowers and eggs in all different cardstock colors. Then I took the grass die from Slim Line Adventures #1925 and cut out a strip of grass and set aside.

Step 3: cut out 1 Daffodil from Die #1933 from a light yellow card stock and ink the edges with brown or a dark yellow ink. the stems are cut from green cardstock.

Step 4: Cut your designer paper of your choice from Planner Essentials Die #41, next I took the rounded corner mat die and cut out three different designer papers. One is for the mat and two are trimmed for pockets. I adhered the first mat by gluing the three sides leaving the top with no glue to create the pocket, I recreated the second pocket the same way and attached it to the base mat.

Step 5: Once your pockets have been created, place your basket and bunny image as per picture above, the bunny is pop dotted with foam dots.

Step #6: Cut your designer paper of your choice from Planner Essentials Die #41, next I took the rounded corner mat and cut out a base mat.

Step #7: I cut out of dark brown cardstock the “Photo” frame from Planner Essentials #3 and matted some designer paper behind it. From dark brown cardstock I cut out a photo mat 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ and the designer paper is 3×3 and attached to the mat. I first attached the bottom photo mat and pop dotted the “Photo” mat to the top. Next I attached my bunny, daffodil, grass and eggs as per picture above.

Step #8: Using Reinforcement Varity Pack #1736 I cut out all the rings from light cardstock and attached to both pages.

Step 9: I like to finish off my pages by speckling with white craft paint.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, if you have any questions in regards to this project please feel free to reach out to me on Facebook @ Katie Porcina.

Happy crafting and take care!
