Oh Happy Day! Card

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Oh Happy Day! Card.

To create my card, I’ve mixed new and older dies from the Paper Flower Collection as well as dies from Joset Designs and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of nature inspired patterned paper and die cut a 4″ Stitched Indented Rectangle. Die cut a 3 1/2″ Stitched Indented Rectangle out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Distress the edges of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut a 3 3/4″ Fitted Indented Rectangle out of a piece of book page. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. From the Pizza Box Die, you’ll need the large plain circle and the nesting stitched circle. Die cut the large plain circle out of a piece of book page. Die cut the stitched circle out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. From the Planner Essentials – Pieces of Life 4 – Retro Stamp Set, you’ll need the Oh Happy Day! sentiment. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the sentiment and stamp in the middle of the stitched circle. Distress the edges of both circles. Ink the edges of both circles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Die cut the Lacy Leaves twice out of a piece of Rose Gold Foil Paper.

Step Five. Next, you’ll need the Florals 11 die. Die cut the leaves three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the flower centres three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. You’ll need a total of two small centres and three medium centres. Die cut the large flower three times, the medium flower five times and the small flower five times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of all three leaves. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Dried Marigold Distress Ink over the entire surface of all the flowers. Shape the leaves and flowers as desired.

Step Six. Adhere the 3 3/4″ rectangle to the 4″ rectangle. Foam square the 3 1/2″ rectangle to the 3 3/4″ rectangle.

Step Seven. Adhere the stitched circle to the plain circle. Foam square the plain circle 1/2″ from the left and 1″ from the top of the 3 1/2″ rectangle.

Step Eight. Adhere the flowers together. You will have a total of three – three layered flowers and two – two layered flowers. Make sure to adhere a centre in each flower.

Step Nine. Adhere a lacy leaf and plain green leaf in the top left side of the circle as desired. Adhere the two – two layered flowers in the top left side of the circle, making sure they look like they are apart of the leaves.

Step Ten. Adhere the remaining lacy leaf to the bottom right side of the circle as desired. Adhere a green leaf in the bottom left side of the circle and top right side of the circle. Adhere the remaining three – three layered flowers in the bottom right side of the circle, making sure they look like they are apart of the leaves.

Step Eleven. Cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4″ x 10 1/2″, score at 5 1/4″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

For A Special Someone Gift Box

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my For A Special Someone Gift Box.

To create my gift box, I’ve used dies from the Paper Flower Collection as well as stamps and dies from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my gift box at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of tropical themed patterned paper. Die cut the Pizza Box die from the Pizza Box Die set out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the box using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. From the Pizza Box die, die cut the scallop square out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. Choose a second piece of coordinating patterned paper. Die cut the stitched square from the Pizza Box Die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Choose a third and fourth piece of coordinating patterned paper. Make sure one of them is green. Die cut the stitched circle from the Pizza Box Die out of the green patterned paper. Die cut the smallest circle from the Pizza Box Die out the fourth patterned paper. Ink the edges of both circles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. Die cut the Elegant Ornament out of a piece of kraft cardstock.

Step Six. Die cut a 3/4″ Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the fishtail down to 3 1/4″. From the Build Your Own Sentiments 1 Stamp Set, you’ll need the For a Special and Someone words. Apply Detail Black Ink to both stamps and stamp onto the right hand side of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. Choose one of the leaves from the Leaves & Branches die. Die cut the leaf three times out of the green patterned paper.

Step Eight. From the Florals 4 die, die cut the centres once out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut one of the buds from the same die twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Nine. From the Florals 4 die, die cut the large flower out once, the medium flower out three times and the small flower out three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Broken China Distress Ink over the entire surface of the flowers.

Step Ten. Assemble the pizza box.

Step Eleven. Foam square the scalloped square to the top of the box. Adhere the stitched square to the scallop square. Trim the elegant ornament down as desired. Adhere the elegant ornament to the stitched circle. Adhere the stitched circle 3/4″ from the right and 1/2″ from the bottom of the stitched square.

Step Twelve. Adhere the small circle to the middle of the elegant ornament. Adhere the fishtail 1″ from the left and 1″ from the bottom of the stitched square.

Step Thirteen. Shape the flowers. Adhere the flowers together. Make sure each flower has a centre adhered to the middle of the flowers.

Step Fourteen. Shape the leaves. In the top left side of the ornament, adhere a leaf and bud. Adhere a leaf in the middle left side of the ornament. Adhere the remaining leaf and bud to the bottom left side of the ornament.

Step Fifteen. Foam square the largest flower so that it sits slightly on the fishtail. Adhere the remaining two flowers as desired around the large flower.

The Best Things About Memories

Good morning!
One of my favorite subjects to scrapbook is the beach!

To Create this layout:

Step 1 – Cover your paper with clear gesso then trim your paper (I used a paper from the Summer Art pack) to 11.5×11.5

Step 2 – use texture paste and your favorite ECD stencil (I used the Spring Flower Mandela) on the left side middle
Step 3 – use gel medium and another stencil on the rest of the paper (I used the circles from the pattern stencil pack)

Step 4 – distress the paper edges and adhere to a 12×12 sheet with distressed edges


Step 5 – die cut a scalloped circle and just the circle using the Pizza box die set and stamp a sentiment on the circle I used the Pieces of Life 3 stamp set

Step 6 – die cut a mandala and ink the edges

Step 7 – die cut, ink and assemble 7 flowers – I used the florals 6, 8, 1, 2, and 3.
Step 8 – Assemble as shown adding art stones, seed beads, [earls, acrylics and cheese cloth

Good morning!
I am so excited to share my next layout for my nieces upcoming wedding!

To create this layout
Step 1 – gather 2 sheets of 12×12 paper, create ‘indents’ on your top sheet and distress the edges of both. (I used the Summer Art paper pack)
Step 2 – fussy cut 5 flowers from the paper or die cut 5 flowers using your favorite dies

Step 3 – die cut 2 Mandala’s
Step 4 – die cut, ink and assemble 3 of your favorite florals – I used Florals 8 and Florals 6
Step 5 – Die cut 3 of your favorite leaves – I used the leaves from florals 2

Step 6 – Die cut the top floral of the pizza box then trim the square off
Step 7 – Assemble as shown and enjoy!

Thank You Gift Box

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Thank You Gift Box.

To create my gift box, I’ve used dies from the Paper Flower Collection, Els van de Burgt Studio as well as stamps and dies from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my gift box at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Worn Wood Paper Pack. Die cut the Pizza Box from the Pizza Box die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the pizza box using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. From the Pizza Box Die, die cut the scalloped square out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. From the Pizza Box Die, die cut the stitched square out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Worn Wood Paper Pack. From the Pizza Box Die, die cut the 2 1/2″ circle out of the patterned paper. Die cut the stitched circle out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Distress the edges of both circles. Ink the edges of the circles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. Die cut a 3/4″ Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the fishtail down to 3″. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the Thank You sentiment from the Build Your Own Sentiment 1 Stamp Set and stamp on the right hand side of the fishtail. Distress the edges of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Six. From the Florals 7 die, die cut the extra large, large, medium and small flowers out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Milled Lavender Distress Ink over the entire surface of the flowers.

Step Seven. From the Florals 7 die, die cut the large leaf and medium leaf twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of all the leaves.

Step Eight. Assemble your box.

Step Nine. Adhere the stitched square to the scalloped square. Foam square the scalloped square to the top of the box.

Step Ten. Adhere the stitched circle to the patterned paper circle. Foam square the patterned paper circle to the middle of the stitched square.

Step Elven. Adhere the Thank You banner to the middle of the circles.

Step Twelve. Shape your leaves and flowers. Adhere the flowers together.

Step Thirteen. Adhere a medium and large leaf to the top left portion of the circles. Adhere a medium and large leaf to the bottom left side of the circles.

Step Fourteen. Adhere the flower over top of the leaves. Add a centre to your flower if you desire.

Christmas present packaging set

Hello everyone, it’s Sanna here today with my last project for this year. Today I’d like to share a little set with you, consisting of a Christmas gitft tag, a Christmas card and a tiny Christmas box.

I’ll share the steps for the box as well as the tag, the card is done in the same way as the tag.

First take a piece of patterend paper in your choice of pattern and colours and die cut it using the Pizza Box die.

Now take a piece of white Soft Finish Cardstock and back it with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet. Then die cut the circles, the flower pattern and the scalloped square piece with your die cutting machine.

Next adhere the scalloped square piece onto the box. After that ink the flower piece in two tones (I used Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet and Festive Berries here) to create more interest to the pattern. Then take the negative pieces and ink them blue (I used Distress Ink Salty Ocean for these parts).

Now adhere the flower pattern and the negative (blue inked) pieces in place. Then finish this step of the box by building it together.

Next add the same blue ink onto the bigger circle using an ink blending tool. Then take the smaller circle piece and add a stamped sentiment to it (I used Build Your Own Sentiment 1) and ink the edges red. Now layer the circles on top of each other and add Craft Drops around the inner circle for additional decor.

For the gift tag I combined the Pizza Box die cut set with the Planner Essentials 21 Note Pieces.

First die cut the pieces shown in the gallery above. I used white cardstock and the same patterned paper that I used for the box as I wanted to create a fun matching set. After die cutting, repeat the inking, stamping and assembling process like on the box before.

For a fun additional detail I added a stamped sentiment (I used the Winter Sentiments stamp set here) on top of the layered circles for both the card and tag. It just adds a little additional detail to them.

For the card I used the same Pizza Box die cut set and additionally die cut the patterned paper for the background using the Stitched Rounded Rectangle die set. The other steps are exactly the same like on the tag and the box before.

And by using only three colours it’s easy to keep the set harmonious. This gift set is perfect to carry a bracelet or small jewellery of some kind. If you change the color combination, you can easily do a completely different looking set using the exact same steps. Imagine using black and white and a hint of gold. Since the patterned paper I used is from my older stash, I added a few alternative paper suggestions to the product list below that I think would work nicely with red, white and blue color combination.

I hope that I inspired you with my little Christmas gift set today. This set could also easily be put into mail for those loved ones who we cannot see this year. I wish you all a lovely holiday time even though the situation we are all living in at the moment, is different then usual.

Cute little box with slider

The fact that all the Elizabeth Craft Designs products can be used for several things is no longer news but so much fun!!!

This time I made a box and I dressed it with the beautiful paper from the Reminiscence block.

On top of the box I adhered the slider from the Planner Essentials 31 set. I also added some decoration.

Then when you pull the tab, the snow man comes up.

Under the slider is space to write a personal message.

On the tab that you pull out I added a quote. I die cut the letters using Retro Alphabet Trio set (Planner Essentials 23).

And look in the box of course an appropriate surprise. 

I closed the box with an edge of design paper and a tekst was stamped on it. 

That’s going to be a surprise!!!

Hot chocolate with marshmallows, what a treat.

This way you can make a nice extra gift for under the Christmas tree or in the advent calendar.

Happy Holidays Gift Tag

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Happy Holidays Gift Tag.

To create my Gift Tag, I’ve used dies from the Paper Flower Collection as well as a die from Joset Designs and the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my gift tag at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Worn Wood Paper Pack. Die cut the large tag from the Planner Essentials – 2 die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the tag using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Die cut the small plain circle from the Pizza Box die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Choose a piece of green patterned paper out of the Reminiscence Paper Pack. Die cut the stitched circle from the Pizza Box die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of both circles using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. Die cut the two swirls from the Strawberries die out of a piece of silver foil.

Step Four. From the Florals 2 die, you’ll need the medium, small and extra small flowers. Die cut the three size of flowers twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over the entire surface of all the flowers.

Step Five. From the Florals 2 die, you’ll need all the leaves. Die cut the two different single leaves twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the two leaf leaf out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of all of the leaves.

Step Six. From the Words 3 – Happy Holidays Die, you’ll need the Happy Holidays words. Choose a piece of Red patterned paper out of the Reminiscence Paper Pack. Die cut the words out of the red patterned paper.

Step Seven. Adhere the white circle to the green stitched circle. Foam square the green stitched circle to the middle of the tag.

Step Eight. Shape all the flowers. Adhere the three size flowers together. Repeat for the second flower. Put a Transp. Glitter/Gold Dot in the centre of each flower.

Step Nine. Shape all the leaves. Adhere two of the single leaves to the top left corner of the tag. Adhere two of the single leaves to the bottom left side of the tag. Adhere the two leaf leaf in the middle of the tag on the left hand side.

Step Ten. Foam square the two flowers over top of where the leaves meet.

Step Eleven. Adhere one of the swirls to the top right of the leaves at the top of the tag. Adhere the other swirl to the bottom left of the leaves at the bottom of the tag.

Step Twelve. Adhere the Happy Holidays words to the right of the flowers as desired. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the top of the tag.

Smile Tag

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Smile Tag.

To create my Smile Tag, I’ve used a couple of the dies from the new Paper Flower Collection as well as a die from the Planner Essentials Collection, Joset Designs and Els van de Burgt Studio. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my tag at home.

Step One. Die cut the small tag from the Planner Essentials 26 – Planner Pocket 4 – Tag & Toppers die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the tag using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Choose a piece of patterned paper from the Worn Wood Paper Pack. Die cut a 2″ Stitched Rectangle out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. You’ll need the small fitted circle and the small stitched circle from the Pizza Box die. Flip the patterned paper over that you just used and die cut the small stitched circle out of it. Die cut the small fitted circle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the two circle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. From the Ginkgo die, you’ll need two of the single ginkgo leaves and the ginkgo leaves bunch out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Mowed Lawn Distress Ink over the entire surface of all of the leaves.

Step Five. From the Words 2 – Thinking of You die, die cut the Smile word out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Ground Espresso Distress Ink over the entire surface of the word.

Step Six. Adhere the stitched rectangle to the tag.

Step Seven. Adhere the fitted circle to the stitched circle. Use foam squares on the left hand side of the stitched circle and adhere 1/2″ from the bottom and 5/8″ from the left of the tag.

Step Eight. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the ginkgo leaves around the circles on the tag as desired.

Step Nine. Adhere the smile word to the circle as desired.

Step Ten. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the hole at the top of the tag.

Sneak Peek: Just For You Gift Box

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Just For You Gift Box.

Today’s project is an exciting one as it is giving you a sneak peek of the new Flower Collection designed by Anita Izendoorn. To create my Just For You Gift Box, I’ve used a couple of the dies from the new Flower Collection as well as a die from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my gift box at home.

Step One. You’ll need a piece of sturdy cardboard. I used a piece that had a white coating on the top. Die cut the Pizza Box, from the Pizza Box die out of the cardboard.

Step Two. Die cut the scalloped square from the Pizza Box die out of a piece of vellum.

Step Three. Choose a piece of patterned paper. Die cut the flower cut out from the Pizza Box die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the cut out piece using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. Choose a piece of coordinating patterned paper that goes with patterned paper you just used to die cut the flower cut out. Die cut the 2 1/2″ circle from the Pizza Box die out of the coordinating patterned paper. Die cut the stitched circle from the Pizza Box die out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of both circles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. Die cut two of the single Ginko leaves once out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the remaining Ginko leaf twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Lightly blend Shabby Shutter Distress Ink using a blending tool with foam over all four leaves.

Step Six. From the Words 2 – Thinking of You die , you’ll need the For You Words. Die cut the words out of the same patterned paper that you die cut the flower cut out from.

Step Seven. Assemble your pizza box.

Step Eight. Adhere the scalloped square to the top of the pizza box. Adhere the flower cut out square to the middle of the scalloped square.

Step Nine. Adhere the stitched circle to the 2 1/2″ circle. Foam square the 2 1/2″ circle to the middle of the flower cut out square. Adhere the four Ginko leaves as desired on the left hand side of the circles.

Step Ten. To finish the gift box, adhere the For You words to white stitched circle as desired.
