“Officially Moved” Greenville planner pages

June 10, 2020
Hello everyone, Annette Green here today with a continuation of the story of our move to Greenville, South Carolina. I’ve been documenting the process and today’s post is all about officially moving, so I thought I’d share the next couple of pages in my planner and how I created them. I hope you enjoy!
As in all my Greenville planner posts, I’ve used a color palette of greens, blacks, tans and oftentimes a pop of color. Today I started with two tabbed pages. (all products used are linked below.) To keep a cohesive look, I used a bit of the green print on both pages, then add smaller areas of tans and blacks.
After die-cutting three tags from various tan papers, I added the black topper tab and stamped two of the tags for journaling. The middle tag will serve nicely for journaling with on the horizontal stripes.
After adhering the “For The Record” tab at the top, I added the multi-slot pocket piece for my tags and added “Details” across the front. The pocket holds my three journaled tags.
Once I adhered the large Photo frame, I added the orange arrow (my pop of color) and a black enamel star, then stamped “This is Us.”
Since I have a lot of photos for this spread, a great way to extend the space is to add tag pages between the main pages. I’ve added hole reinforcers to the larger tag which fold over to the other side, then I stamped around the holes of the smaller tag.
After die-cutting some banners and pennants, I stamped “Hooray, It’s Today” onto individual card stock pieces and adhered them in place. Again, I’ve used that orange pop of color for small accents.
This is how it looks when the pages are stacked in order.
Once I’ve calculated how many photos I wish to feature, I then add photo mats to each page, plus any other accents or stamping.
See how much space you can gain for photos and journaling when you add these tag pages? This is the back side of each.
Finally, I add my photos and journaling. I realized after I already had things in place that the banner was going to cover up my husband’s face, so I simply adhered the photo on a tilt and was pleasantly surprised at how fun it looked!
This planner spread shares our story of selling the house, packing up, and moving to Greenville, SC. A big change, a lot of work, and a fun new chapter in life.
Our story continues as we get settled in here, explore our new area, and enjoy new experiences. I’ll be continuing with my Greenville planner in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping in today to check it out.

I want to remember

April 20, 2020

Hello Crafters, today it is Luciana here with a planner spread. This is an interactive page, to keep a picture

Step 1. Stamp on the White Soft Finish Cardstock the following stamps:
– the bigger rettangle and for 2 times the slim rectangle with the sharp edges from the set Planner Essential – Retro Label;
– the sentiment “I want to remember this” from the set Planner Essential – Remember;
– the leaves and the flowers from the set A Field Of Flowers.

Step 2. Color them with the watercolor and cut along the edge.

Step 3. Assemble some floral pieces, the labels and the sentiment like the picture below.

Step 4. cut a pieces of White Soft Cardstock 21cm x 21cm (8,25 x 8, 25 inches), and fold it at 12cm ( 4,7 in). Create the 6 holes for the rings and 1 hole on the opposite side, at about half the height of the page.

Step.5 Die cut from the White Soft Cardstock:
– the two tag from the set Planner Essential 2, for two times;
– the hole reinforcer from the set Planner Essential 8;
– the tab from the set Planner Essential 11.
You could use the distress ink pad and the blending tool to create a gradient along the edges of each element.

Step 6. Assemble the pieces like in the picture, including the photo. Use one of the two little tag horizontally, adhering it on the left outside of the page, making sure that the hole of the tag is at the same height as the hole of the page, on the opposite right side. Add a piece of string to the tag.

Step 7. Adhere all the floral pieces on the page.

Step 8. Close the folded page, and adhere on the flap the die cut elements with the sentiment. Use the string of the tag in the hole of the flap, and close it with a bow.

The interactive page is complete, you can put it inside your planner.

Thank you for stopping by today. Happy planning!
Luciana

Greenville Planner – Selling a house during Covid-19

April 8, 2020
Hi everyone, Annette Green here. During this crazy time of the 2020 Corona Virus, we are learning that life still goes on. People are buying and selling homes, enjoying their family time and making the most of the situation. I’ve been keeping a planner for our move to Greenville, SC and am now finding myself incorporating the virus into the story.
I’ve started with a kraft cardstock page spread and added an extension to the righthand page for a simply fold-out area. (The extension piece measures 4 1/4″ x 8″ and is scored 1/2″ for the hinge portion.) The left page is cut using the Planner Essentials 27 Retro Number Trio set and the right from Planner Essentials 4. I’ve die-cut a strip of green pattern paper for the scalloped edge to the left page and die-cut the same green paper using Planner Essentials 11 for the accent on the right page. Both pages have hole reinforcements from the Reinforcement Variety Pack.
I’ve use the photo frame from Planner Essentials 3 to showcase the main photo of this page, a celebration of us finishing our 2019 taxes! Little bits of a kraft die-cut scalloped edge have been used here and there in the layout as an accent. To secure the righthand fold-over, I’ve used a simple brad and swing clip from my stash.
I’ve utilized various stamps (listed below) for titles and journaling spots. The photos show that our daughter has had to leave college and return home on the same day that our home has been listed on the market to sell.
When folded open, the left side of this righthand page has photos and a journaling spot while the righthand flap has a pocket and tag from Planner Essentials 26 and journaling card using the Important Memo stamp set. The pennants at the top are from Planner Essentials 3 and add a nice accent to the upper corner.
Over the front of the pocket, I’ve added die-cut tickets and words from Planner Essentials 11, and another bit of scalloped edging to the bottom.
Journaling and notes are the finishing touches. It’s an incredibly stressful time right now for everyone, and I’ve found crafting and documenting our everyday lives to be a source of calm and peace.
Our house (incredibly) has an offer from the very first buyers and we’re currently doing the paperwork and necessary steps to close at the end of April. It just goes to show that life is still going on around us during this pandemic.

Here are some close-ups below with details I thought would be interesting to share…
I was originally planning to fill in the letters PHOTO with a coordinating cardstock, however I discovered that the colors in the photo looked pretty nice through the letters instead.
I had originally die-cut the scalloped border from the same kraft cardstock and didn’t end up using it as first intended, but decided to cut it up and use it as accents throughout the layout.
This is a closer look at the swing clip and brad which holds the fold-over page down securely.
Again, the scalloped border is used as an accent. The tickets are stamped with the grid from Patterns 1 set, then I drew in the dashed lines with a black pen. Small touches like this add a little more interest to the page.
“Little Moments, Big Memories” from the Family stamp set says it perfectly. In this time of staying at home together, we’re discovering the joys of watching movies together, playing games, working out as a family, and making plans for our future. Life has slowed down and become very peaceful and enjoyable at the same time. I wish you all the same peace and joyfulness during this time. Stay well and enjoy those little moments.

Remember The Now

March 19, 2020

Hello Crafters, today it is Luciana here with a planner spread. This is an example on how you could make several planner inserts using the same technique.

Cut out the ticket page from the set Planner Essential – 11, using the white soft cardstock. Use the distress oxide ink pad to color the edges of the ticket.
Than cut a rectangle and the pattern with the letters from the Planner Essential – Planner Patterns. and color both with the same color. Use the stamp from the set Planner Essential – Patterns 2 to create a more interessing background. Distress the edge of the rectangle with a distress tool ( the edge of the scissors eventually works too ).

Glue together the three layers, it will seem like and embossed background.

Prepare the decoration for the planner insert. Die cut from the white soft cardstock 4 pieces of photoframe, using the die from the set Planner Essential – Planner Filmstrip. Adhere together the 4 pieces, to create a heavy frame.

Stamp on a watercolor sheet the leaves from the stamps set A Field of Flowers. Color the leaves with the watercolors, and than cut the twigs with the scissors

Adhere the frame on the ticket insert, and use the twigs to embellish it, as shown in the pictures below.

Stamp the sentiment “Remember the now” from the stamps set Planner Essential – Remember, on a white soft cardstock. Cut out the rectangle and adhere it on the frame of the insert.

I used the same technique to create other two planner insert.
In the first on the left I used:
the tag die from the set Planner Essential – 4 ;
the photo frame die from the set Planner Essential – 4 ;
the patterns with the numbers from the set Planner Essential – Planner Patterns ;
the sentiment “Hello Everyday life” from the set Planner Essential – Retro Labels Sayings ;

For the insert on the right side, I used:
the die from the set Planner Essential – 5 ;
the photo frame die from the set Planner Essential – 4 ;
the patterns with the rose from the set Planner Essential – 6 .

Thank you for stopping by.
Happy planning!
Luciana

This Is What Matters Most!

February 4, 2020

Hello Planner fans! Today a post from me, Marjolijn. I made a spread in my planner for Valentine’s Day.

For me, ‘Valentine’ means family –– my family. It means my husband and my kids because, that’s what matters most to me. My heart beats a little harder when I see this picture from my love and my beautiful daughters. How blessed I am!

I had a lovely time playing with my Planner Essential Dies –– I love the light bulbs.

I made these pages with the Planner Essentials 20 Half Heart and glued the smaller hearts on the bigger hearts. With black cardstock and golden soft glitter paper I made the light bulbs, and the ‘Love’ word. With a stamp from the set CS125 Patterns 2, I stamped the edge of the small heart. The text is from the stamp set CS121 Remember. Further, I glued the different reinforcers over the rings.

The nice heart flower, from Planner Essentials2 5, I cut in pieces and then placed it behind the pictures. With a few stamps, I finished this page.

I made this page the same way as the first one. The little word ‘Love’ with the arrow was made with a die from the Planner Essentials 5. With the labels, I made a kind of tag where I wrote a little message on the back and placed it behind the picture.

Another page in my planner, and I’m so happy with how it turned out.

Here, you can see the dies I used.

And here you see the stamps I used.

I hope that I inspired you a little bit with this planner page. See you next time!

Birthday Planner Page Using The Planner Pocket 4

January 28, 2020

Hi planner fans, Marjolijn here. This is my first post for the Elizabeth Craft Design blog!

First I want to say that I’m so proud to be a member of the design team!!! It even gives me more fun to play with the beautiful dies and stamps for the planner.

Today, I’ve decided to make a special page in my planner for a very special occasion: my daughters birthday! I took a lot of pictures that I wanted to use in my planner to remember her 17th birthday.

Here is everything I created for my pocket page!

Look at this, a whole day in one page with cute tags, labels and a large double tag where I placed all the pictures and journaling. And look at that gorgeous birthday cake, my oldest daughter made it as a special surprise for her sisters birthday!

For this page I used the new die sets from the Planner Essentials 22. On the back, I glued the page from Planner Essentials 4.

The page folds together just like the pockets in the collection, folding and adhering the flaps onto your base page, making it look like an envelope. I used the reinforcements from Planner Essentials 7 to secure the other side of the page.

I made two pages from craft paper (size 3 3/8” x 8”) and bound them together with the die from set 22 (see picture below) –– now it’s a double tag!

So now, I have a lot of space for pictures and journaling!

I finished it off by decorating it with stamps and dies. For that I used Planner Essentials 27, the retro numbers trio. Oh, how I love that –– 3 sizes in one set!!

I also used the Planner Essentials Planner Patterns and Planner Months die sets. The stamps are from Pieces of Life 1 (CS160).

As an additional insert, I made a tag with a see trough pocket made from vellum. And a little tag inside it. All made with the Planner Essentials set 26 and stamps from the set CS134.

I love the little banners They are so decorative and fun for birthdays and party’s. Even if they are too big, I role them up and put them in the pocket. Always fun to find them, and you immediately know it’s a special occasion when you do.

I made the banner with the Planner Essentials 26 Retro Numbers Trio set. There are 3 different flags in it in 3 sizes so you can make a lot of different banners for in your planner or other projects! Sometimes I make them and send them with a birthday card! Success assured!

I hope you all get inspired a little bit with this page. It’s so much fun playing with this new dies!!!

See you next time,

Marjolijn

My Gratitude Journal

January 20, 2020

Karen here today from Craftily Yours! In 2020, my “word of the year” is Gratitude. Life is SO much better that way, don’t you think? I am going to attempt to create at least one page per week about things for which I’m grateful. If I can do it, I’ll have an amazing treasure at the end of the year! And something to remind me of the good things when I have a sad day.
