Hi, Karen Aicken here. For today’s blog post I want to share a Christmas card. I used the pretty Winter Birds Circle Peel-Offs in Gold and colored on top of the Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.
1. Form a 5″ square side-fold card from green cardstock.
2. Using the Accordion Circle Card, cut one panel from white pearl cardstock. Snip the circle away from the frame, and cut off all the tabs as we won’t be needing them.
3. Emboss the frame with the new Sprig embossing folder. You will need to run it through twice, shifting the embossing folder so the whole piece is embossed. Because of the random pattern of the sprigs, you hardly notice where the pattern starts and stops. Adhere the frame to the card front using double sided tape, not a tape runner. (A tape runner can flatten embossed cardstock.)
4. Emboss the circle from the Accordion with the same embossing folder and attach it inside the frame with double sided tape.
5. Attach a 4″ square piece of white card stock to one side of a double sided adhesive sheet. Attach the gold Winter Bird Peel-Off to the other side of the double sided adhesive and cover the adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off the excess and polish the glitter with your fingers to bring up the shine, then color with alcohol markers. Els has a wonderful video showing this technique, which you can see by clicking HERE.
6. Fussy cut the coloured Peel-Off and adhere it in the center of the embossed circle with foam tape.
7. Cut a white panel 4-1/2″ square and adhere it inside the card. Apply a gold Merry Christmas Peel-Off and your card is ready to give to someone special.
Hi, it’s Karen Burniston with the December Pop it Ups Designer Challenge. Each month I challenge my Designer Challenge team to use Pop it Ups dies for a specific theme. This month the challenge was to give year-round inspiration. We split up the months among the team so we could make sure that you have at least one inspiring card for every month of the year.
The Designer Challenge Team includes members from the USA, Canada, U.K. and Australia, so I encouraged them to craft for their own country’s holidays and dates (U.K. Mother’s Day is in March, Canadian Thanksgiving is in October and Australian Father’s Day is in September) so our challenge would be internationally inspiring. They did an amazing job!
August didn’t have much by way of international holidays, so it was the perfect month for Birthday cards. (My twins’ birthday is in August) I wanted to create a new twist on an old classic – the Explosion Card. This video tutorial will show how to make explosion sides for a traditional pop-up card. I used the Happy Birthday die in the video, but this technique would also work with the other general pop-up dies; Lorna Label, Lots of Pops, Lucy Label, Garden Bench and the new general pop-up being released in a few weeks at CHA. (Does the anticipation have you on the edge of your seat?)
Here are a few photos of the video project. For a card like this, where the inside is so spectacular, I saw no reason to do too much decorating on the front – a few stripes to tie in with the inside colors and then let the magic be in the discovery of the explosion pop-up card. After all, this card will most likely be displayed open, not closed.
To attach the twine I simply punched small holes on each side of the explosion, threaded the ends of the twine through the holes and then tied the ends in a knot.
I hung two Props2 birthday hats from the twine using tiny safety pins. I chose safety pins so I could seat the pins onto the twine and they wouldn’t slide to the middle. To make sure the hats could hang vertically, I made a slotted hole in each hat to accommodate the bottom part of the safety pin.
Anything that is attached to the “bellows” (as my husband John calls them) will also pop-up, so you can see in the photo below where I added a couple more Props2 Birthday hats attached randomly to the explosion side pieces.

JANUARY
Fran Sabad starts off the year with a shiny golden New Year’s Card. She used the Katie Label Accordion and turned it into landscape orientation by following the instructions in my video tutorial. So elegant!
Frances Byrne is our resident wonder from down under! She always makes the most amazing cards, and this Australia Day card is no exception. She combined the Spiral Circle Pull Card with the All Seasons Tree and then styled Honey the Bear as a Koala. G’card, Mate!
FEBRUARY
Raquel Mason used the doubling technique from last month’s video to make a Double Heart Pivot Card for Valentine’s Day inspiration. She also styled Honey the Bear as a chocolate bear. Perfect colors and styling.
Frances Byrne made this gorgeous Happy Chinese New Year card by mixing pages from the Circle Accordion and the Fancy Accordion with the Frame Edges for each album. What perfect colors and stamps!
MARCH
Kelly Booth‘s birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day so naturally she chose March and crafted this glittery green magical card. The Ring Accordion, Poppy the Owl, Props1 and the Clouds Embossing Folder all make an appearance, along with the ECD 4-leaf clovers die.
Helen Cryer is from the U.K., where Mother’s Day is celebrated in March. She made this lovely 4-page Oval Accordion card, also incorporating the Oval Dots Frame Edges. Her color and image choices are perfection, as usual!
APRIL
You had me at amazing, Caz Counsell! I just love what Caz did for an April Fools Day card – everything is backwards, from the way the card opens to the greeting itself. But fear not . . . you can read it in the mirror if you hold it just so! AMAZING! I also love her choice of the Ring Frame Edges on the sides of the Katie Label Accordion (done Landscape style) to give the labels a different look.
Raquel Mason will make you smile with this bright fun landscape Oval Accordion Easter card featuring Hoppy the Frog dressed like a bunny. She also used the Oval Flourish Frame Edges.
MAY
Shelly Hickox made a drop-dead gorgeous Mother’s Day card with a very cool technique for notching together gutted Oval Accordion pages to make a tunnel card. Can you see all the layers of goodness in the card? Make sure you click on Shelly’s name to see more photos on her blog. She also used the fence from the House Pivot Card and the banner from the Lorna Label die.
If you notice a Landscape Accordion theme going on this month, it all started with a video tutorial I posted last month teaching how to convert the portrait-style Accordion Album dies (Oval, Katie Label) into Landscape orientation. JUNE
Donna Wright is from the U.K. where they also celebrate Father’s Day in June. She used the Landscape Accordion technique with the Katie Label Accordion to make a World’s Greatest Dad card. What a great use for the ECD Wheelbarrow die!
Everyone needs graduation cards in June and here is some fabulous inspiration courtesy of Summer Hills-Painter. She used the graduate’s school colors with the landscape technique on the Oval Accordion, plus Oval Flourish Frame Edges. Check out that mini tassel!
JULY
Karen Aicken combined the Spiral Circle Pull Card with the Damask Embossing folder and the little maple leaf from the All Seasons Tree die into a spectacular Canada Day card. I love all those little leaves flying on the spiral.
This 4th of July card by Shelly Hickox is patriotic and perfect. She used the Katie Label Accordion and Katie Stars Frame Edges along with decorator ovals and the banners from the Lots of Pops die. Notice the glittered banner behind the word celebrate and the occasional glittered silver stars in the Frame Edges.
AUGUST
Sandy Diller always makes such amazing cards when she guest designs for the Challenges. This month is no exception with this fabulous tutorial for how to elongate the Katie Label Accordion die to make this 5-panel card for her friend turning 70. She cut SEVENTY candles for the card. What a great friend! The Agatha Edges and flourish work great atop all her interactive pages. Make sure you click her name to go see the tutorial.
SEPTEMBER
Frances Byrne also made a landscape accordion, this one with the Katie Label Accordion and Katie Stars Frame Edges, to celebrate Father’s Day, which is in September in Australia. Having the landscape orientation gave her the right size panels for her perfect stamps.
Summer Hills-Painter shows a great September Back-to-School card using the Ring Accordion. What a wonderful way to kick off the year with your child’s teacher. As usual, Summer picked the perfect combination of papers and elements.
OCTOBER
Karen Aicken is Canadian, where Thanksgiving is celebrated in October. She made this lovely card using a technique first seen on a card by Raquel Mason, where a transparency on the first panel of a Katie Label Pivot Card reveals a greeting when the card is closed and disappears when opened.
Shelly Hickox mentioned that Halloween came and went before she got a chance to use this gorgeous Graphic 45 patterned paper. This challenge was the perfect reason to pull it back out and fussy cut all the scenery for an amazingly complex-looking, but easily-assembled Lots of Pops card. You can see a video of this card in action by clicking Shelly’s name.
NOVEMBER
Fran Sabad got very clever with her punches and fashioned a turkey to fit the Circle Accordion Album. On the front of her album (click her name to see it) she added the Ring Frame Edges around the circle opening – a very clever way to use those edges.
This is my original project from the video tutorial, which not only shows the technique for making the portrait albums into landscape, but also for how to style Dutch the Fox and Honey the Bear as woodland creatures instead of Characters. DECEMBER
Donna Wright created a spectacular Fancy Accordion Advent Calendar card with adorable little jeweled numbered doors. Each door has a little image behind it, so you should definitely click over to see it. She also used every one of the frame edges from the Fancy Frame Edges and the Fancy Seasons Frame Edges die sets. This is AMAZING!
Caz Counsell wanted to show a quick and easy Christmas Pivot card for a December idea. She used the Katie Label Pivot Card and the Agatha Edges.
Karen Aicken made this fabulous Hanukkah card for her daughter recently. She used the Spiral Circle Pull Card and added little dreidels on the spiral when the card is pulled open. (Click her name to see the inside of the card)
Sandy Diller also made a Hanukkah card using the Fancy Accordion and Fancy Frame Edges and traditional Hanukkah symbols. What a gorgeous album!
Kelly Booth made this delightful 6-page Oval Accordion card recently featuring a variety of snowman stamps colored to perfection. She used the Oval Clouds Frame Edges on each page in her signature color (teal!)
So there you have it! A year’s worth of inspiration using Pop it Ups dies.
On a more personal note, I really want to thank everyone at Elizabeth Craft Designs, my amazing Designer Challenge Team and all my fellow crafters, customers and students for making my first year with ECD so successful. Joining this family has truly been like coming home and I am so inspired to bring you more innovative die designs in 2015.

Hi! It’s Candy with another idea for the holidays. This project, made from a recycled bottle, is great for those on your list who need a sweet treat!
1. Cut Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Transparent Tape Sheet to fit around the bottle. TIP: Wrap a piece of twine or ribbon around the bottle. Remove and measure the string to find out what size to cut the tape sheet.
2. Remove the protective sheet from the tape and wrap a piece of lace around the bottle.
3. Sprinkle Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over the lace. Shake off the excess. Gently press the glitter into the adhesive.
4. Remove the lace (you can use it again and again). Sprinkle Forest Green Silk Microfine Glitter over bottle. Shake off excess. Polish both glitters with your finger.
5. Add Glitter Border Peel-Off to the top and bottom of the glittered “lace”. Add a Snowflake Peel-Off to the front of the bottle. Place a smaller one on the lid.
6. Add Merry Christmas Peel-Off to bottle.
7. Fill jar with candy. Type or hand write “Christmas Kisses” on label. Attach to twine. Wrap twine around top of bottle.
Hi It’s Kelly Boothhere. I often need baby cards and think the Elizabeth Craft Designs Rubber Ducky Peel-Off stickers are perfect for making those fun cards. I decided to use the Lucy Label Pop-Up die set for my card today.
The Lots of Dots Embossing folder is perfect for Baby cards, and since I don’t know the sex of this baby I decided to go with Yellow for the card base.
Tutorial for this fun card is below
1. Adhere a piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Adhesive 6″ by 6″ to a piece of white card stock that is the same size. Remove backing from the adhesive and place it shiny side UP on your desk. Place the following peel-off stickers sticky side up onto the backing sheet: 1 Large Ducky in Circle, 1 Small Ducky, 2 Hearts, 1 star, 1 rattle and 2 groupings of bubbles. Now place cardstock with adhesive side down on top. Tun over, remove backing and cover adhesive and Peel-Offs with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish glitter with your fingers and brush off excess. Return glitter back in the jar.
2. Color all of the glittered Peel-Offs with markers and cut out all shapes staying close to the black lines of the stickers.
3. Cut two pieces of cardstock 3 3/4″ by 11″, one aqua and one yellow. Score both at 5 1/2″.
4. Emboss the front of the yellow card base using the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder.
5. Using the Lucy Label Pop Up Die place the nubs at the center fold of the aqua card and run it though your die cutting machine. Carefully fold and form the pop up.
6. Place strips of Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Tape on the back side of the pop up card. Remove the backing from the pieces of tape and adhere to the yellow card base.
7. Using the Lucy Label Pop Up Die, cut another center label using a scrap of yellow. Snip apart all connection points and emboss the label using the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder. (See photos below)
8. Adhere label on aqua label from pop up. Die cut a small label found in the Lucy Label set out of an aqua scrap. Adhere to yellow label using pop-dots. Place Congrats Peel-Off on top. Adhere rattle to the left of the Congrats as shown. Adhere Ducky on the pop up above the Congrats. Using foam tape or pop-dots for some dimension, place the star in the upper right side of the card. Place a heart on the platform below the small ducky.
9. For the front, cut a piece of aqua cardstock to 1/2″ by 3 3/4″ and stamp the greeting in the center using black ink. Adhere toward the bottom of the card as shown. Using foam tape or pop-dots, adhere Ducky in Circle above label. Place Bubbles on top and adhere Heart just below Circle.

Judi Kauffman is back with some fun last-minute Season’s Greetings Cards.
Thank you for inviting me, Joset. I thought I had all the cards I would need for the holidays but the list kept getting longer, so I kept making more!
There are lots of ornament-shaped peel-offs and dies in the Elizabeth Craft Designs line-up so this is a project that can be easily customized. The supply list includes everything needed to duplicate the trio precisely as shown.
The key to making cards in a hurry is to keep them simple. You’ll need a standard size (A2) card base, an embossed Shimmer Sheetz square (3.75” x 3.75”) and one or more ornaments for each card. Use the new Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape to secure the embossed Shimmer Sheetz and foam squares under the ornaments for added dimension. That’s all there is to it.
The speediest ornaments require only an outline peel-off, a piece of un-altered Shimmer Sheetz, and a couple of minutes for fussy-cutting. Ornaments with a bit more detail, like the ones shown, add only about five to ten minutes per card.
GOLD AND BLUE: The three ornaments on the card shown in the close-up below start with alcohol ink-altered Orange Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz. Add Christmas Ornament Round Peel-offs in Gold and lots of Blue/Gold Glitter Dots before fussy-cutting.
SILK MICROFINE GLITTER: The ornament on the card shown in the close-up below was made by Els van de Burgt, using her signature “Glitter Inlay” technique. A single ornament is plenty when it’s a sparkly beauty like this one!
PEEL-OFFS IN BLACK, GOLD, & SILVER: The trio of ornaments on the card shown in the close-up below was made by Els, using her signature “Sticker Inlay” technique. The outlines are Black and the open spaces are filled with the negative shapes from the same Peel-offs in Gold and Silver (leaving the outlines for other projects, like #1 above). Transparent/Silver Glitter Dots add sparkle.
More Options:
If time is short skip the alcohol inks, don’t sand the Shimmer Sheetz.
To add more detail and dimension, use the Sprig from the Sprig & Berries Die to cut extra branches.
For ornaments that can go from card to tree, tie a narrow ribbon loop through the top, use low tack tape to keep them in place until removed.
For ornaments that are going to stay put on the card front, use Glitter, Gold, Silver or Black Border Peel-offs to create the vertical lines instead of metallic braid.
For greetings, use rubber stamps or hand-lettering instead of a Peel-off.
Accent the corners of the embossed squares with brads.

Nancy Walker is back as today’s Guest Designer. She surprised us with a festive New Year’s Spiral Tag Card. Her favorite character, Chilly the Penguin was invited to the celebration and she used an interesting array of other Elizabeth Craft Designs dies, too.
New Year’s Spiral Tag Card by Nancy Walker
Thank you Joset for having me back as a guest designer today. This card combines several die sets and yes, I did bring Chilly out to let him celebrate New Year’s Eve! His natural coloring makes him a shoe-in for the tuxedo and black tie party especially when Karen Burniston’s Props Dies are enlisted.
I used Tags & More 3 – Leaves to create a building that houses the big clock from the Clock and Gears set. I chose to use the spiral mechanism and the balloon from the Spiral Circle Pull Card to animate midnight on New Year’s Eve. I hope you will enjoy today’s tutorial!
Instructions for the outside:
1. Cut light gray cardstock 8 ½” x 6 ½”. Stamp randomly with a brick or stone stamp inside and out to give a little texture to the building.
2. Score at 3 ¼” to make a card measuring 8 ½” x 3 ¼.
3. Align the round tag shape from the tag die set on top of the folded card. Allow the edge of the die to hang off the folded side. Run folded card through your machine to die cut the top section of the card, cutting both front and back of the card at the same time.
4. Cut a piece of gold cardstock 3 ¼” x 2″. Die cut round top using the same tag shape die used in step 3. Once die cut, place tag overlay die on cardstock and run through your die cutting machine again to create leaves design. Adhere tag top to top of card front and place die cut leaves and tag hole back into the die cut areas.
5. Cut the clock from light gray and remove the numbers. Cut a circle from gold cardstock for the clock backing and adhere both the clock and its backing together, placing adhesive only in areas with no openings. Add clock hands showing a couple of minutes past 12:00 and adhere so they will not move. Add a brad in the center of the clock, connecting the hands to the clock face. Adhere clock to top of card in the circle niche created in step 4.
6. Stamp and fussy cut “Party This Way” with the arrow pointing to the inside of the card.
7. Cut Chilly’s outline from black. Using the hat from Pops 1, cut one hat from black and one from gold. Trim away the brim on the gold hat to create gold hatband. Adhere to black hat, then adhere hat to the black Chilly outline. Square off his toes so he is seen from the back like he is reading the sign.
8. Cut corners from gold using the corner die from Tag & More 3 – Leaves.
Instructions for the inside:
1. Cut spiral mechanism from grey cardstock using Spiral Circle Pull card and adhere as shown. Cut and adhere balloons from scrap vellum, using bow and string from Props 2.
2. Cut Chilly and assemble as shown on front of die packaging. Add party hat and blower from Props 2 (with a little piece of feather added to the end), and one of the balloons like he is holding it. Add rhinestones to bow tie and front of his “shirt”. Adhere Chilly to the bottom left of the card. Cut two more corners from gold and adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card. See close up of Chilly.
3. Using Elizabeth Craft Design’s Transparent Adhesive Tape on the back of the gold cardstock, cut “Happy New Year”. Adhere to right side of card on the lower “wall”.
4. Add Glitter Borders in gold and silver and Glitter Dots in black and silver to resemble confetti and streamers coming down in celebration of the New Year.
5. Add balloons, party hats, and blowers with feathers on the ends to the spiral mechanism so they will all pop up when the card is opened. See close up below.

7. Glue a dot from the gold cardstock into the back side of the hole in the top of the card on the left side. Add a glitter dot to this, too. Add ribbons to the top of the tag card in the remaining hole on the right side of the card.

Hi! It’s Candy, back with an easy and inexpensive gift for a co-worker, family, friend or even yourself!
I love the ornament Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs. There are lots of different designs and they are all fun to color. Round ones and other similar shapes are just perfect for making ornaments that can be hung on the tree, mantel, or a door knob! With a sturdy chipboard backing they’ll last for many years.
1. Adhere a piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Tape to a piece of white cardstock large enough for one ornament and two holly leaves. Remove the release sheet and place it upside down in front of you. Place peel-offs sticky side up on your release sheet, then place white cardstock with adhesive side facing down on top. Turn over, remove release sheet and cover adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish and brush of excess glitter. Color with alcohol markers. Fussy cut out each piece.
2. Cut a piece of chipboard slightly larger than the ornament. Adhere the ornament to the front and a piece of decorative paper to the back of the chipboard. Fussy cut the ornament out again.
3. Use a black Sharpie or any permanent black marker to color around the edge of the ornament so the sides of the ornament will be black to match the outlines in the peel-off.
4. Punch a hole in the top of the ornament and tie a ribbon through it to create a loop for hanging.
5. Add Red Glitter Dots to the holly berries. Adhere the holly to the top of the ornament.
It’s Debra Hensley here today to share an embossed Ring Accordion card with you – perfect to add to your Christmas Card stash. I’m always looking for unique cards that are easy to make and pack a big “wow” factor. Embossed snowflakes on the Ring Accordion panels, glittered and colorfully colored peel-offs, and a simple sentiment work perfectly together in this festive and unique card.
Here’s how I made this card:
1. Die cut 2 Ring Accordion panels from light blue cardstock. Die cut 1 circle from white cardstock using the largest circle from the Ring Accordion die set. Die cut 4 decorative Frame Edges from white cardstock.
2. Emboss the Ring Accordion panels with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder. The Ring panels are too big to fit inside the folder but the snowflake pattern makes this easy to work around. Emboss as much of the panel as possible the first go through the die cut machine.
To complete the embossing put only the un-embossed section of the Ring panel into the folder on the second pass.
3. Cut a piece of white cardstock large enough for one of Jackie’s Christmas Dolls in Circles Peel-Off, one accessory holly peel-off and one christmas tree peel-off. Adhere Transparent Double Sided Adhesive to the cardstock. Transfer peel-offs to the adhesive cardstock using the technique Els is demonstrating HERE. Cover adhesive and peel-offs with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polish with your fingers. Color with Copic markers or your favorite medium. Trim out pieces when complete.
4. Ink edges of Ring Accordion panels with blue ink on both sides. Adhere the rings together connecting the tabs. Clip off extra tab on the right panel. Adhere white decorator Frame Edges to the front of the card panel. Adhere the colored Jackie’s Christmas Dolls in Circle’s Peel-Off to the front of the card in the center. Adhere white circle to second ring panel.
Add silver Merry Christmas Peel-Off. Add glittered holly and snowflakes. Add snowflakes and glitter dots to edges. Add light blue ribbon to front to complete.
5. For an added touch you can adhere the negative of the Peel-Off on the back side of one panel with a transfer sheet (watch video “How to use Transfer Sheets” HERE). Add the extra colored tree to on foam adhesive.

This is Rita Edwards here. Today I would like to share my new Christmas card with you. I wanted to create a card that I could send to my parents. Growing up in Hungary, we used to get a lot of snow and that meant lots of outdoor play in the snow with lots of snowmen being built. Combined with a pretty Christmas tree, my card idea was born and I could hardly wait to actually create it.
As always, I hope you have a nice cup of coffee or tea in your hand so you can sit back and enjoy my tutorial.
This is how you can create this Christmas card:
1. Using My Mind’s Eye’s Vintage Christmas or your favorite paper pads, cut a light patterned cardstock 6″ x 12″. Score at 6″ and fold to create the outside layer of our card. Repeat this step once more for the inside layer of our card.
2. Position the Lots of Pops die set on the left side over the score line and die cut. Fold the pop out sections (all except the smaller pop up on the left) and set aside. This will serve as the back support for our snowman.
3. Adhere the outside and inside layers together, set aside.
4. Using the sprig die from the Candle die set, die cut 24 sprigs from Green Velvet Sheet, which will allow us to create an entire Christmas tree. Using the same Green Velvet Sheet, die cut ‘Merry Christmas’.
5. Using a red and light beige color cardstock, die cut the largest and middle sized tag dies from the Tags die set.
6. Using white cardstock, Double Sided Adhesive Sheet and Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter, we will create the base for our snowman. Peel off the release sheet from the Double Sided Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive side to white cardstock. Peel off the other release sheet and cover adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish with your finger. Brush off the excess glitter; return it to the jar for other projects.
7. Using the Snowman die set, die cut the elements from the glitter covered cardstock, as created in step 6. Using black cardstock, die cut the eyes, mouth and buttons.
8. The photo below will show you all of the die cut pieces for the complete Christmas card.
9. Using your Copic or other alcohol markers, color the die cut pieces of our snowman. Once colored, assemble the snowman as shown on the die set’s packaging.
10. Adhere the sprigs to the inside of our card creating a Christmas tree. To help the process, visualize a triangle shape and start from the top working our way down to the tree stump. Add Red Glitter Dots as ‘ornaments’ and ‘tree top’ for our Christmas tree.
11. Adhere the light beige tag die cut over the red tag die and add a green ribbon to both sets. Add the ‘Merry Christmas’ die cut to the front of one of the tags and adhere to the front of our card. Adhere the second set of tags on the inside of the card.

Hello my crafty friends, it’s Raquel Mason here today. I like to find other ways to use my dies other than how they were originally intended, doubling the House Pivot Card is a great way to do just that. By doubling and turning my card up side down, I saw Santa’s suit. Let me show you hoe I made my card.
1. Cut a piece of red cardstock at 5.5 x 8.5 score at 4.25. Keep card folded in half and place House Pivot die (house portion only) on the score line. You will only be using the house portion of the die, not the fence portion.
2. From green cardstock cut (1) Katie Label Accordion Card panel. Cut off the label shape and the long side tab so all you have left is the frame.
3. From white cardstock cut (2) of each size of the Katie Holly Frame Edges (2 long, 2 short). Adhere all (4) edges to the Katie Label Accordion frame cut in step 2.
4. Adhere the frame to the card front. Note: A portion of the frame will be under the House Pivot – Do not apply adhesive on the frame in the area under the House Pivot.
5. From Black Velvet Sheet cut a 1 x 5.5 strip for Santa’s belt. Remove release sheet and apply the strip across the center of the House Pivot area. Cut off any excess.
6. To create the buckle for Santa’s belt, cover a 1″ square of white cardstock with Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape Sheet. Cut a .5″ square from the center. Remove release sheet, cover with Silver Silk Microfine Glitter, shake off excess and polish with your finger. Adhere to center of belt created in step 5. TIP: If you have the Evergreen Pivot Card die set, use the gift box die to cut the center opening of the buckle.
7. From green cardstock die cut the words Merry Christmas three times. Layer the words and glue them together for added dimension. Adhere to the top left of the inside of the card at an angle as shown.
