Welcome to our February Coloring Design Team Designer Challenge. This month our challenge theme is …. Things with Wings – Include something on your card that has wings!
Ten of the new stamp sets designed by designer Krista Schneider contain something that has wings! Whether it is a bird, owl, bee, butterfly, or dragonfly there’s a lot to choose from.
For today’s challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away a “Things with Wings” prize pack that includes Krista Schneider’s Feathered Friends stamp & matching die set, ModaScrap Dancing Butterflies and Joset Designs Birds to 3 people.
To enter simply leave a comment on this challenge post below and tell us “What ECD product is on your wish list?”
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, February 24, on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
Now let’s take a look at the wonderful creations our talented Design Team have created for the Challenge this month. For more information about the cards, click on the Designer’s name under each card to be taken to the Designer’s blog post.
To start things off today, Selma Stevenson has created this delightful scene using the Krista Schneider Honey Bear Stamp Set, coordinating dies and White Soft Finish Cardstock. Selma used the Stitched Squares from Els van de Burgt Studio to create the frame on her card. The ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners were used for the sentiment from Joset Designs Dreams Sentiments Clear Stamp set. The Sun is from the Rainbow Sky die set, also from Joset Designs.
Karen Nofziger has created the colorful card above using the
Krista Schneider Jungle Cuties stamp set. Karen chose the
Stitched Circles and
Dotted Scallop Circles from
Els van de Burgt Studio for all the circle layers. Peeking out from behind the Dotted Scallop Circle you can see leaves from the
ModaScrap Pair of Leaves 1 die set. To finish off her card, Karen has stamped the “Miss You” sentiment from
Joset Designs General Sentiments set.
Frances Byrne has created a fun birdhouse easel card to house the birds from the
Krista Schneider Feathered Friends stamp set, stamped on
White Soft Finish Cardstock and she used
coordinating Feathered Friend dies. To create the top of the birdhouse and roof Frances used the
Fishtail Borders die set from
Els van de Burgt Studio as well as the
Fitted Circles die set, also from Els van de Burgt Studio. For the sentiment Frances used the ‘happiness’ sentiment from
Joset Designs Dream Sentiments stamp set, layering the sentiment on die cut
ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners.
Also using the
Krista Schneider’s Feathered Friends stamp set and
coordinating dies for her card is
Tina Guigui Dornbaum. Tina incorporated
Fitted Circles from
Els van de Burgt Studio and
Joset Designs General Sentiments.
Kelly Booth has created a fun Pop Up card using the
Krista Schneider Bird-day Party stamp set and
coordinating dies. On the front and on the inside, Kelly has used the
Scallop Hearts and
Fitted Hearts dies from
Els van de Burgt Studio. To create the pop up card, Kelly cjhose the
Pop it Ups Lorna Label Pop Up and
Outdoor Edges. The sentiment inside her card uses the
Els van de Burgt Studio Party and
Love Sentiments dies. Kelly used the
Susan’s Garden Behind the Scenes Stencil and
PanPastels to create the backgrounds behind the birds.
For our next card
Elena Anderson is ready for spring, using the butterflies from the
Krista Schneider Honey Bear stamp set and
coordinating dies and one of the flowers from the
Flower Power stamp set and
coordinating dies. Behind the flowers Elena has added leaves cut with the
ModaScrap Leafy Branch 5 and
Pair of Leaves 1 die sets. For the card base she used rectangles from the
Stitched Rectangles die set from
Els van de Burgt Studio. Elena combined
Soft Finish Cardstock in
White, Teal, Celadon Green and True Green and those sparkly accents in the background are randomly placed
Silver/Gold Glitter Dots Peel Off Stickers. The white layer has been embossed using the
A Way with Stencils – Butterfly Kaleidoscope. The sentiment is from the
Pop it Ups Just a Note Clear Stamp set.Melanie Smith created a sweet card using the
Krista Schneider Honey Bear Stamp set, and the
Smile die from
Els van de Burgt Studio.
For our final card today
Anita Kejriwal has created a fun Penny Slider Card using the
Krista Schneider Feathered Friends stamp set and coordinating dies, as well as the
Teddy Bears Picnic stamp set. To create the Penny Slider portion of her card Anita has used
Joset Designs Sliders & Spinners die set. The hills on her card were created using the
Stitched Circles die set from
Els van de Burgt Studio. Anita used

Oh! So Lovely Cards. Each release has it’s own unique place in my heart & on my wish list. I love Butterflies, and your new Dancing Butterflies are distinctly different than any I already have. They are on my wish list along with about 20 other ECD dies. Like the Tags & More 9 Sparkle set. And the Accordion Ovals with the 3 sets of frames, that Karen released almost 2 years ago.
I really love it all, but thebFlower Power stamp set & coordinating dies are awesome!

There are so many dies that I want. I would love some of the basic stitched dies to have the background pieces I need. There are a lot of the fancy dies I would love too. Too many to put them all of the on here. I keep adding more to my “to buy” list. 🙂

I love butterflies. I love that they start out as one thing and turn into something else. It’s a great metephor for struggles in life. You can turn something that seems like a mistake into something else. Something beautiful.
It is really hard to choose one,but I would go for the purr-die set – so I can make more and different cards for granddaughters who are cat lovers and my biggest (card making) fans!
A super collection of inspiring cards created by the design team! I love anything with birds or butterflies so I will probably soon be adding Feathered Friends, Bird – day Party and Dancing Butterflies to my rapidly growing collection of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. Oh dear, these cards are just too cute and adorable! As to the question of what of ECD is on my wish list, All I can say is “everything that I don’t already have”!!! lol! Which might be about 90% of your gorgeoulicious goodies! The card stock I don’t have any of and would love to be able to get some to try. The silk micro fine glitter, the shimmer sheets, Susan’s garden Pan Pastel sets, and the list goes on! I like the bird-day stamp set…..so cute…all sample cards were great…
All are beautiful but the long legged birds on the bird-day party set is my top favourite. So whimsical – I can imagine all the small birds that visit my garden putting on their crowns and having a great party time!!

This theme is so wonderful. My fav is the Feathered Friends I just love that set. And I will have to get the fishtail borders because I want to make that easel card that Frances made. It’s adorable. (But so are ALL the designers projects) Thanks for this opportunity.

I’m a freak for butterflies, so the dancing butterflies would be my favorite thing from the prize pack. I love the pivot dies. I am the teacher for my paper crafting group of about 28 women a few times a year. Any of the pivot dies would absolutely wow them.
I like the ‘Flower Power Stamp Set’ It is big and bold. It will make a beautiful card.

So many to choose. All the samples are great. Of these, the Jungle Cuties would be my first pick. But the Dancing Butterflies come a close second.

My wish list is continually evolving, but there are some consistencies. ANY/ALL of the Leafy Branch dies and the Pair of Leaves dies always remain at the top. I can already tell the Feathered Friends stamps and dies will be added to the list. Nice release!

Dancing Butterflies is my favorite! I have lots of butterfly stamps and dies, but this one has side views and I love the “scrolliness” of the dies.

I fell in love with the feathered friends stamp set when I saw Els demo it on a European web channel. I live in San Diego in a bird friendly yard. I have lots of fruit trees they love to sample. The bird house card is super cute! I have to say feathered friends is on my wish list for my next ECD purchase.

OMG!!!What’s on my Wish List! Everything! I love the colored Soft Finish Cardstock. I only have 7 more colors to buy, to have a complete set. I just started a list for my purchases at the Anaheim Scrapbook Expo. They include the; Calligraphic Elements 2, Tags & More 7 Vine, Flower Pot Pop Stand, and several of the Garden Notes dies. I love all of the ECD stamps & dies.

I just love those birds that Frances used on her card….just made me smile. I do have some ECD stamps and templates, buut have not reach the mastery of your design team. The ‘fancy folds’ fascinate me…..esp. the DT’s ability to ‘decorate’ them…..thx for a chance to win……and thx for the DT’s inspiration daily
