Hi Everyone! It’s Katelyn here, sharing with you a masculine Father’s Day Card. Father’s Day is right around the corner, so why not create a special card for your Father or that special Father figure in your life. The starting point for my card was the Manly Man Patterned Paper and then using a variety of different die cut images from Els van de Burgt Studio, ModaScrap and Joset Designs it just grew from there. Let me show you how to make it.
1. Using the Stitched Rectangles die, die cut the 4 1/2″ rectangle out of light green patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper with an edge distressor. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the edges of the rectangle.
2. With the Stitched Rectangles still out, die cut the 4″ rectangle out of car patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper with an edge distressor. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the edges of the rectangle.
3. Using the Stitched Circles die, die cut the 3″ circle out of light green patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper with an edge distressor. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the edges of the circle.
4. Die cut the 2 1/2″ Stitched Circle out of tie patterned paper. Distress the edges of the paper with an edge distressor. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the edges of the circle.
5. The last Stitched Circle to die cut is the 1 3/4″ circle. Die cut the circle out of the backside of the front cover sheet from the Manly Man patterned paper. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the “You’re the Best” sentiment stamp. Stamp the sentiment onto the middle of the circle. Distress the edges of the paper with an edge distressor. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the edges of the circle.
6. From the Entwined Circles die, die cut the medium circle out of patterned paper. Using a Blending Tool and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink outside edge of the entwined circle.
7. From the Arrows die, die cut one of the arrows out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Black Soot Distress Ink over the arrow.
8. Using the small feather from the Feather dies, die cut the small feather out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool, blend Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the feather. Use a blending tool with Black Soot Distress Ink to ink the edges of the feather.
9. From the Pair of Leaves 2 die, die cut the skinny leaf out of brown patterned paper. Die cut the fatter leaf out of light green patterned paper. Trim some of the stem off on each leaf. Use a blending tool with Black Soot Distress Ink to ink the edges of the leaves.
10. Cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 4 1/2″ x 11 1/2″. Score the cardbase at 5 3/4″.
11. Adhere the car patterned paper stitched rectangle to the light green rectangle. Adhere the light green stitched rectangle to the cardbase.
12. Adhere the tie patterned paper stitched circle to the light green stitched circle. Using foam squares, adhere the light green stitched circle to the car stitched rectangle patterned paper.
13. Adhere the entwined circle overtop of the light green stitched circle.
14. Adhere the arrow to the middle of tie patterned paper stitched circle. Foam square the “You’re the Best” to the middle of the tie patterned paper stitched circle.
15. Adhere the feather and leaves together. Tie a black bow at the bottom of the leaves and the feather.
16. Adhere the leaves and feather bunch to the right of the “You’re the Best” circle.
Now your card is finished. Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of this Father’s Day Card.
