Alert: Husband brag coming. 🙂
My husband knows I love flowers and he’s very good about buying me orchids – they last a really long time and it lets me have flowers blooming year round… which means there’s hope in our house all the time. That is a good thing because we need it! LOL!
Read on to find out how I made this card!
Step 1 – Create a green card base for a standard A2 4.25″ x 5.5″ card.
Step 2 – Nest two rectangle dies from the Fitted Rectangles die set and cut at the same time to make a white frame.
Step 3 – Die cut Leaf Pocket Die out of light green cardstock. Trim to fit the frame and sponge darker shades of green for an ombre effect.
Step 4 – Die cut the flowers from the Flowers 2 die set out of light purple cardstock. Sponge and blend the edges of the petals with darker purple (Seedless Preserves Distress Ink).
Step 5 – After stamping the sentiment in black on white cardstock, trim a rectangle sized as shown, making sure it does not cover too much of the background.
Step 6 – Arrange the die cut flowers to frame the sentiment. Add several die cut leaves, tucking the stems behind the flowers as shown.
Step 7 – For the final touch, glue a round cluster of black Prills to the center of the flowers.
Thanks for looking! May you always have flowers blooming near you! – Diana
