Splatter cow

June 11, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s my turn today to share my latest design with you all. I do like to make all sorts of styles in cardmaking but my most favourite is the more clean and simple style, here we have a simple card that fits that theme perfectly.

Step One:

Using a sheet of white card and some watered down black acrylic paint, splatter the whole sheet then set aside to dry. The bigger the brush the bigger the splatters.

Tip: Place the white card inside a cardboard box to contain the splashes.

Step Two:

Die cut the cow mostly using the splattered sheet see image below for all the different pieces, ink the nose and udder using distress ink spun sugar and ink around the white edges using black ink.

Step Three:

Attach a panel of splattered card measuring 5.5 x 1″ to the front of a top folding A2 card black.

Step Four:

Trim another panel of white card measuring 5.5 x 3.5, attach a strip of bright pink card to the reverse side allowing approximately 1/8th to show at the edge. Fix this panel to the card front using 3d foam pads.

Step Five:

Heat emboss the sentiment onto black card using white embossing powder and a heat tool, then trim the sentiment down to a smaller strip before fixing toward the bottom of the card front using more 3d foam pads.

Step Six:

Add the Cow using more 3d foam pads then fix a few enamel dots or gem to finish off.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you have been inspired to try a clean and simple style of cardmaking. Happy crafting – Jackie x
