Step into the forest with me

February 9, 2022

Hi all! It is Lisanne here with a new card with the newest collection of Joset. This collection is currently only available at your local craft store and soon to come at Elizabeth Craft Designs online.

It is such a great collection with many possibilities. For this card I used the beaver, but first I started with the background.

For this blue background I used the Distress Oxide Ink ‘Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon’. I love how the ink gives a reaction at water.

For the next step I used the Slimline Adventure Edges to make the grass border. You can use this dies in so many ways. I used both sides from the paper so it fits perfectly. The grass border is colored with Distress Oxide Ink Twisted Citron.

The Beaver set also come with 2 log dies, very matching for a beaver. I made a lot of logs so it will look like the beaver build a dam. These logs are colored with Distress Ink. And just adhere these in different ways, not straight to each other it will look more real.

Lastly I made the two beavers and some flowers from the Slimline Adventure Edges.

Aren’t they cute? Oh and I found a cute stamp with the sentiment ‘Step into the forest with me..

I hope you got inspired with this blogpost.

Thank you for reading! See you soon.

Kind regards Lisanne

Sunny days

January 26, 2022

Hi all! It is my turn to give you some inspiration. This time I made a planner page with the Retro Bus Kit and some dies from Joset. A lot of fun products are coming. You have probably all seen the fabulous Retro Bus Kit from Esther, it is just wow!! I’ve included a lot of pictures in the blog post as I was so happy with how the page turned out 😉 So let’s start!

I started with with making a page with Planner Essentials dies 1. I also used the Wave Pocket dies. These 2 dies are my base. I cut off the short part of the Wave Pocket. I didn’t throw this part away, but kept it. I will use this later. I made a pocket from the largest part so I can put something in there.

In this pocket I added 2 simple tags from the Reminiscene books.

I also made a label with paper from Esther’s Badass shop and some cute elements from the Planner Essntials and Retro Bus kit. Oh and the stamp for writing some notes.

Now I need the shortest part from the wave pocket. I made the Retro Bus and adhered this to the wave pocket.

I just love the small elements with the lights, flowers and wheels. For this bus I used some paper from the Reminiscence the book, metallic paper and Soft Finish Cardstock. You can make it how you want.

At the back I added a tent using dies from Joset. I thought it would be perfect for this theme.

And the suitcase and bag are perfect for this page. The suitcase is a die from the Retro Bus. The bag is from the Camping accessories.

At the page with the pocket I added the tree and farmer in safari theme. I really like to combine everything together.

And I just like the clothes from the farmer. The farmer is standing at the sentiment ‘explore’.

This picture is how you see the page when it’s closed.

And this is when the page is open.

I’m very happy with it. I hope you like this post as much as I do. Thank you so much for reading!

Kind regards

Lisanne

I am thinking of you

January 12, 2022

Hi everyone! It is Lisanne here.

I’m here with a new blogpost. Today I made a little card with the cute cat.

For the card I used the Fitted Hexagons dies. I used the 2 bigger ones for the base and the smallest one for the background. I put some Double Sided Adhesive at the Soft Finish Cardstock and made 5 small hexagons with it. Now I can add some Silk Microfine Glitter, Royal Teal. These hexagons are adhere at the bigger hexagon. As you can see I used one hexagon for half.

For now the background is oke so I can make the cat. I used Soft Finish Cardstock and different colors Distress Ink.

The cat is sitting at the hexagons, but I think it is a lot of white left so I used the fence from the Slimeline Adventure Edges. The fence is a little bit longer than the hexagons.

At least I made a fishtail with the sentiment ‘I am thinking of you’. This sentiment is made with the build you own sentiment stamp set. A great stamp set to create you own sentiment.

At least I add some Distress Ink at the edges of the fishtail and hexagons. Ohh and I almost forgot the Silk Microfine Glitter in the heart. This is the color sea glass.

This is my card with the cute cat from Joset. I hope you like this blogpost and get some ideas.

All the used supplies are here below.

Thankyou for reading and see you the next time.

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Book of me

December 27, 2021

Hii everyone! Hopefully you all doing fine.

I’m here again (Lisanne) with a new blogpost for you. It is just a small project but a realy fun project. I made a little book with the Folded Arrow Insert (1870).

First I started with making a lot of different arrows so I have a little book already. Now I can decorate these little pages. In this blogpost I will tell about my front page. The paper is from Reminiscene 2. For the edge I used Distress Ink Frayed Burlap.

As you can see I started with a base and a smaller arrow with the sentiment ‘love this’. Before I adhere this part down I made a tab with a stamp ‘Book of me’. It is stamp from CS231. I will use this book for myself with positive things.

The next step is making the eye cather of this page. I tore some pink paper and adhere a picture frame at it with an eyelet. Behind the torn paper I put some grid from Planner Essentials 40.

Above the picture frame I adhere the beautiful girl in her lovely dress with bow.

At least I adhere the Reinforcements and the bookrings.

It is a short post this time but hopefully you liked it. Thankyou so much for reading!

Kind regards,

Lisanne Geerdink

December 12, 2021

Hii all! It’s is Lisanne here today with a new blogpost. It is almost Christmas so let’s give some cards to lovely people around you.

For this post I want to share an explosion card. This card is made with a punchboard from We R Memory Keepers and decorate with ECD stuff. It will be a great gift for my 2 cousins.

First I start with making the envelope. I used a piece of the beautiful Worn Wood Paper. At the front I stamped ‘To:…… From:…. This is a stamp who is in the Classic Christmas kit.

In the right corner I made a snowflake with some Nuvo Glimmer Paste and the mask from de AJS Winter stencils.

I add some trees from Planner Essentials 13 for the snowflake. Just coloured with some Distress Ink and adhere it.

On the backside is a stamp from the Classic Christmas Kit to and a banner with ‘hold here’. And then…….

Open the envelope. So you can hold and pull.

As you can see you can see things like a punchboard in combination with dies, paper and masks from ECD. I realy like it. Hopefully you enjoyed it to.

Thankyou so much for watching! See you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink.

The Christmas train

November 18, 2021

Hii Everyone! Today I’m back with a new blogpost with some new dies from Joset. I’m totally in love with this collection, it has so many possibilities.

It is the perfect time to sit down with some Christmas music or a Christmas movie and play with all these dies.

For this slimeline card I started with a base and some Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. Above this base I adhere the dotted background (1927). Isn’t it a beautiful slimeline dies?

I started with the Holiday Train (1923). I used the Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Ink.

At the back of the paper I adhere the Double Sided Adhesive. Some parts are really small so this works better for me.

The carts are also new dies from Joset. The number of this dies is: 1924. You can build these carts up like you want. With presents or candy or anything you want.

The small cart is filled with a tree in a present. This tree is from The Winter Scenery (1926). I coloured everything with Distress Ink but you can also use some cardstock of other materials. Just play with it.

Hopefully you like this blogpost and like this collection as much as I do.

Thankyou for reading!

Kind Regards Lisanne

Frosty

October 14, 2021

Hi all, It’s Lisanne here! Welcome to my blopost today. It feels like it’s been a while since I last shared a project with you. Last week I saw a picture that reminded me that is it 75 days until Christmas. I can’t wait hihi.

So for this post I made a winter card (looks like Christmas).

For the base I used the Stitched Indented Rectangle. I cut the largest rectangle from the 240 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock. One piece smaller is from the 300 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock. Why I use two different weights is because I wanted to make a background with the Distress Mica Spray (Frosted Juniper and Snow Flurries) and this works better on the 300 gr. After using the Mica Spray I added some Distress Icicle crackle paste (this has to dry a long time).

While my background was drying, I created Jack Frost the snowman. The snowman is one of my favorite dies I think. I used the 240 gr. Soft Finish Cardstock for all my characters and accessories. I colored Jack with Distress Ink. Than I made a tree, which is a die from the Mason Jar, who is standing next to Jack.

I thought the background was just a little bit blank so I die cut the beautiful doily from the Art Journal Special, put some embossing powder at the top and adhered this at the background. Because the background is not smooth, I adhered everyting with glossy accents so everything stays in place.

For the snow boarder at the bottom I used the Winter Edges from the Art Journal Special. The word ‘Frosty’ is perfect for this card.

So this is my winter card for today. I hope you feel inspired to make your own frosty card! Thank you for following me along and perhaps chat soon in a Facebook Live!

Greetings Lisanne

Halloween Turkey

September 22, 2021

Hii everyone,

It’s me Lisanne again. This time I show a little tag which I made with the new Happy Harvest. It is absolutely a great collection!

I started with some Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire ink at the top of the tag. If you spray some water at the ink, the ink respons and give some beautiful background.

Than I made the grass line and the fench. Behind the fence are some pumpkins (Hay Ride, 1909). Love to colour this with some beautiful orange Distress Ink with a little bit of brown and green. Oh and than the crows at the pumpkins. I love that! The crows are from the Scarecrow (1907).

Now I can make the eye cather with the Turkey (1905). You can make the Turkey just normal and adhere it together with glue. But I want some dimension at this tag, so I but some foam pads between the feathers. In this die there is one feather. But if you trim this of in different layers across the lines, you can make these dimension into it.

Hopefully you like this small blogpost about this small tag. I’ve had a lot of fun making this tag.

Thankyou for visiting! See you soon!

Farm Fresh

August 19, 2021

Hii everyone! Here I am again, Lisanne. I’m ready to show a new page in my square TN. It’s still a bit new for me to work so small, but I really like it. The best part is that you can process all kinds of collections in it. So that is what I want to show you today.

For this page I used the paper Rainbow of Happiness from Ilse and Charlene. Such a beautiful, colourful paper. The Poloraid Page is perfect to use as base. But I want to give it something special. So I made some dots in the paper with the Honeycomb Dots. Isn’t it a beautiful dies?

I also added some light texture paste with a mask stencil. When this paste is still wet, I added some Silk Microfine Glitter Silverado. When it dries the glitter stick to it. This colour glitter combines perfectly with this paper.

Maybe some of you know my style of working and combine different collections. That’s how I did it this time. I used the super cute Donkey from the Farm Collection. All coloured with Distress Ink, but you can do that in you own style.

The crate is a part of the Farm Accessories. This crate is filled with food for the Donkey. At the right page you can see all these plants growing. When the plants are ripe they are ready to harvested.

So at the right page you see all the plants from the Home Jungle. They are growing in a beautiful place. All the plants are coloured with Distress Oxide. I tried to let go of control, so that means some parts are darker, some lighter haha. Just taking step by step. But at the end I really like it.

So at least I added a beautiful hanger which say ‘home jungle’. At the back of this hanger you can see a small part of jute, great combination. At the left page I added a little banner with Farm Fresh.

I think I’ve told you everything about these pages, hopefully you like it.

Thankyou so much for reading and have a great day!

Kind regards Lisanne

Autumn 2021

August 14, 2021

Hi Everyone, Lisanne here sharing a new project with you today. It might be a little early but for today’s project I created an Autumn/ Halloween page for in my Sidekick planner. This page was so much fun to create. I used a combianation of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designsc under which the cute frog die from Joset’s collection. Let me show you how I created my page.

I sed the Sidekick Essentials 1 for the front page. This is a page with a little tab. On top of this page I adhered the Scallop page (Sidekick Essentials 12). The scallop page is made of the Worn Wood paper. I colored the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. This makes everything a little bit darker and spookier. Also the wood looks darker.

The next step is making the frog from the Storybook Collection. It is not a normal frog but a Halloween frog. I made the whole frog only his front legs are separate. I adhere this later. I also made the Pumpkin. The mouth from the frog is a dies from the Pumpkin. So you can also make a face in the Pumpkin.

First I made some leaves in different colors (green, brown and yellow). But I thought this was a bit small, so I made some mushrooms. Doesn’t they look cute? These are from the Forest Accessories.
Than I have to build my page up. I used a circle from the Sidekick Essentials 4. I used some purple Distress Ink so there will be a bit more colour. I also add some black so it will look a little bit spooky. In this photo above you can see how it looks without mushrooms. There is a lot of empty space.

But when you add the mushrooms you see a big differents. So that is how I fill some empty space. At the top of this page I adhere the word ‘Autumn’ with the Planner Essentials 23. These are beautiful small letters. At least I adhere some reinforcements.

My front page for this Autumn/ Halloween is made and ready to go! I’ll hope that you got inspired.

Thank you so much for visiting! See you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne
