Joset Designs Soft Finish Cardstock

In the forest

July 21, 2021

Hii everyone, It’s Lisanne here again with a new blogpost. Today I want to give you an another idea with the Mason Jar. I just can’t stop playing with this dies.

So for the people who know me a little bit, I really love to work with the dies from Joset. That is what I also did this time. I used the Mushroom Fold Card and the Raccoon. This planner page shows you that you can make a beautiful planner page with not that much dies.

So let’s start with the beginning. I cut the Mason Jar out of Kraft Cardstock with the window peace in there. I also cut out one piece without window. I made the whole page (the part without window) a little bit darker with some Distress Ink.

For the next step I need the Raccoon. I guess this is a new favourite animal for me. He is made with the Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Ink. And only with two colours Distress Ink (Black Soot and Hickory Smoke).

The mushroom is the next part for this page. I made the whole mushroom but I knew I didn’t use the whole mushroom. This mushroom is made for a card, but I use the half of the mushroom. I aslo give this house a door and window. I used a lot of different colours for this cute house, but of course you can use any colour you want.

Then the trees which are in the Mason Jar Kit. I made three big trees and three smaller trees. Just by colouring the trees light and darker you can make depth in your card. The dark trees are coloured with Distress Ink Forest Moss and Black Soot. The lighter trees are made with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.

Now it’s time to build up the page. First I adhere the mushroom at the page with window and cut of the mushroom outside the page. Now I can also see where I want to adhere the trees and glued this down. And of course the Raccoon stands for the mushroom.

At least I adhere some reinforcements and the lid with an extra piece on the lid. I’m very happy with this page. You can do this with a lot of dies by using some parts.

Hopefully I gave you some inspiration with the Mason Jar, the mushroom and Raccoon. Thankyou so much for watching and reading!

Kind regards Lisanne

Splish Splash

June 23, 2021

Hii all! It’s Lisanne here. It is time for a new blogpost from me. So the weather here in the Netherlands getting better and better. The Under the Sea Collection is perfect to use at this time of the year. I really like this Collection in combination with the square TN.

For this pages I used the Poloroid page and the beautiful Rainbow of Happiness paper. I used the paper with the blues and green colours. So let’s start with the Octopus page, doesn’t he look cute?

The Puzzle Page is a dies set with a lot of dies. I used the biggest frame and the splash. I used a thin denim sheet, that looks perfect with the Rainbow of Happiness paper. I used the frame without the splash with the Octopus.

The octopus is coloured with Distress Ink, some high lights with the a gell pen and glossy accents at his eyes. The eyes look rounder. But be carefully with these accents, they have to dry a little time.

I adhere some coral from the Summer Journal Kit in different colours to the page. Love all these colour explosion. The little fish at the right is also from the Summer Journal kit. At least I make a life buoy, which is a dies from the Whale, and stamped the text Splish Splash.

The second page is with the sea Turtle. He is so adorable. I told you that I made a splash from a denim sheet. The part who felt out is glued at the Turtle page. But only half of the splash, the other half is at the back. I also glued some waves from the Summer Journal kit at this page. I didn’t know if you see this that good, but for now it looks good haha.

I build up the Sea Turtle with ofcourse Distress Ink. Only the Turtle wasn’t enough for me. So at this page I made coral to but now with different colours. In combination with the other page, it looks beautiful!

I also made some accessories from the diving accessories. But I think they are laying a very long time at the bottom of the sea. They turning a little bit green haha.

I think I’ve told you everything about these two TN pages. I’ve had a lot of fun making these pages with all these beautiful colours.

Thankyou so much for reading! And hopefully I see you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

I am here for you

May 26, 2021

Hii All! It’s me again, Lisanne! This time I want to share a card who has to cheer up my dad. It is a small project, but small isn’t always bad!

A while ago I made a planner page with the Sidekick Essentials 13 (hexagon insert). All the little hexagons that fell out I safed in a box for using it later. This was the time to using is haha. So I glued some hexagons on my base, which is dies 1698. There are a lot of different sizes squares in it.

The whole background is paper from the Reminiscene Book 2. You can see I made three spots with hexagons in different sizes. These hexagons made me think about some honeycomb. So I made the Honey Bear (1727) with ofcourse honey.

Let’s take a closer look to the Honey Bear. I used the Soft Finish Cardstock so I can colour the bear with Distress Ink. You can choose to give the bear a bow or not. The bow is an accessories which I add later because at the end I missed some extra colour. This bow gives that colour I think. I made some highlights with some pens.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is I-am-here-for-you-8-969x1024.png

After the bear I want to make a beehive. So I dies the honey jar and turn this upside down. I put a little cord behind the hive and knotted this at the branch. This branch is a part of the tree from the Safari Colleciton.I really love this look! Ofcourse there are some bees at the hive.

At least I made a banner with the build your own sentiments stamp (cs139) and put this whole card at a brown card.

I hope I gave you some inspiration with this card. Thanks for taking a look at this post! And hopefully I see you soon!

Kind regards Lisanne

The Fisherman

April 28, 2021

Hi All! Lisanne here again. I think a lot of you have dies from Joset’s collections. For this card I used a lot of different ones as I love mixing and matching them. I had so much fun creating this card!

Let me tell you how I created this card…

I started with the base. I cut one large stitched square using the Stitched Square (1698) die and colored it with Tumbled Glass and Tea Dye Distress Ink. This gives a picture of land and sky. For the sky I used a mask stencil from the Art Journal Special (SO39). This mask looks like waves, but I used this for clouds.

Than the funniest part of the whole card. Die cut, color and assemble all the pieces. I used Soft Finish Cardstock for this and colored with Diustress Inks. I made some bushes with the Forest Accessories (1688). At these bushes there are growing some flowers. Isn’t this looks cute?

The Fisherman stands in front of the bushes. He is very busy with fishing. The Fisherman is made from the Farmer dies and the Safari Accessories. The fishing rod is a die from the Camping Accessories. And at least the water pool is the mud pool from the Pig.

All the dies I colored with the Distress Ink. Below I will write all the used products. So for now I will thank you all for reading! See you soon!

I Love you just the way you are

March 24, 2021

Hi everyone, here is Lisanne again. It’s my turn to give you some inspiration. This time I will use different dies from the Safari Collection of Joset. I really love this collection, with all the animals and fun accessories.

So lets start with the beginning. I made a background with clouds and Distress Ink. The Adventure Edges 1 and 2 are great to use for building up the card. So I made mountains which I coloured with Distress Ink Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint. I also die cut some grass that I coloured with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I glued only the bottom and the sides so I can put something between the layers.

Between the layers grass and mountains I put the tree. I also coloured this tree with Distress Ink (Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Forest Moss). You can make the tree with or without green so there are possibilities in your making.

Now it’s time to build up the animals. In this Safari Collection there are 4 animals, the Zebra, the Giraffe, the Monkey and the Lion (you can also make a tiger of this one). So it was hard to choose haha. This time I made the Zebra and the Monkey. Ofcourse the Lion and Giraffe will be used another time.

The animals are also coloured with Distress Ink. Oh and I forgot to say that I’m using Soft Finish Cardstock for this whole project. It’s such a great paper, smooth on one side and a little structure on the other. You can choose which side is the best for your project. When I work with Distress Ink I always color on the structured side.

So back to the project. When I’m making animals like the Zebra and Monkey I back my cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape before die-cutting for the parts that need to be glued otherwise. So in this case the stripes, eyes and feet from the Zebra. I also give the Zebra a hat from the Safari accessories, doesn’t he look cute?

Than the monkey who is hanging at the vine in the corner. I really like to build this animals. You can give them every colour you want. The monkey is coloured with Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Black Soot en Fossilized Amber. The monkey is hanging at the vine, but you can also make him sit.

In de left corner I put the text ‘I love you just the way you are’ that I stamped on the Soft Finish Cardstock. The edges are coloured with Forest Moss and Black Soot. I coloured the whole card also with Black Soot and put some black Cardstock behind. So my Safari card is done.

I hope this card gives you some ideas to play with this great collection. For me it was a lot of fun playing with it. Thank you for reading this blogpost! Have a wonderful day and hopefully see you soon!

Joset Designs Sidekick Essentials

Fave moment

February 24, 2021

Hi Crafters! Lisanne here. I’m here again with a new blog post. This time I made a Sidekick Planner page with the cute Honey Bear.

For the base I used the Sidekick Essentials 4 and the Reminiscene Paper pad. On this page I glued the Honey page (Sidekick Essentials 13). I colored all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

So first I made this cute Honey Bear with the Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Ink. I used Ground Espresso and Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs for the bear. The honey jar is made with Brushed Corduroy and Fossilized Amber. I also colored the little bee by myself with Distress Ink (Fossilized Amber and Black Soot).

I adhered the bear to a tag from the Sidekick Essentials 11. I like the little stitch line at the tag. I also made a little tag with the sentence “Fave Moment” from CS120. Behind pink design paper I put a little piece of the Journal Edges from the Art Journal Special. It is just a little piece but it looks great!

In the right corner I used the Jungle Leaves with some flowers. I did the same with the left page, so I wanted to do the same at the right page. The large flower is from Florals 8 and the little flowers from Florals 1. This time I cut them out design paper. The leave is colord with Crushed Olive. These flowers makes me so happy!

I put a sequin in the center of the large flowers and added some reinforcers. These kind of pages are so great to make! Like all the cute characters but also the planner dies.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much I enjoyed creating this page. Thank you so much for reading this post and have a great day!

Joset Designs Planner Essentials Sidekick Essentials

Oh happy day!

January 27, 2021

Hi crafters! Lisanne here. So today is my very first blogpost for the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and I’m so excited to share my projects with all of you! Today I want to share this planner page in my Ground Espresso Sidekick planner. For this page I used a lot of different ECD dies. They are so great to use together! I will explain a little bit more below how I created this page.

For the base I used the Sidekick Essentials 2 and I used the Reminscene paperpad COO2. This paper is so lovely with these stamps at the background.

The tag with the flower girl is from the Planner Essentials 30 Wave Pocket and the paper I used is from the Reminiscene book. For the bushes I used Adventure Edges 2. The cute little flowers which I cut from the Reminiscene Book are part of the Adventure Edges 2 as well. Now you can see that the Holiday Elf Her is turned into a flower girl! I realy like this way of using dies. At the back of the tag I put some pieces from the Planner Essentials 21 Note Pieces.

When I adhered the tag on the page I put them behind a little piece from the Note Pieces. You can also see that piece with the text Oh happy day! This stamp is from the Pieces of Life 4. I also used the cute Flower reinforcers.

Thank you so much for reading this blogpost and I hope that I inspired you a little bit today to works with these fun dies!

Have a happy day!
