We had another birthday in the family. Sarah turned 18!! Sarah celebrated her 18th birthday sober but with Bubbles, cake and garlands! I also incorporated this special birthday into my planner.
Sarah loves pancakes so I was already up early in the morning making dough and baking them. With a delicious fresh smoothie, a real birthday breakfast.
The tag is incorporated behind it and on the back is the journaling.
In the evening her sister and friend came to celebrate and we toasted on Sarah’s birthday and better times.
With a little folder I wrote the title, another scrapbook page in my planner.
Here I am again, in a new year with new opportunities. First of all, I want to wish everyone a fantastic 2021 because we all deserved it! Let’s look out for each other and the world a little bit more and be nice to each other.
And now my pages for the first week of this new year.
This is a double page for in my sidekick planner. This year I want to use it as kind of agenda/planner. I can then incorporate the special memories into my large planner. For these pages I used paper from Reminiscence The Book.
Meanwhile there are already a lot of nice die sets of which I have used several. At the bottom of this post I will post a list of the products used. But first….. Coffee!!! 😉
I already placed all my appointments for this week in my planner. Enough time to play with my planner and stuff this week ?
I used the super fun road sign here for the days of the week.
The sidekick planner is perhaps my favorite. Wonderfully handy and you can still incorporate a lot into it.
And then Christmas is really coming and….. You really still need to send some Christmas cards. I always try to make a different card for everyone, personal, with a joke, beautiful, classic or with a light. But every year I’m short of cards. How nice it is if you can still make nice homemade cards in a bit of pace. Like this one, for example.
Still nice and pretty quick made.
I made 6 in a short time, and I’ll show you how I did it.
So a mini-workshop.
These are the products I used.
Step 1: Cut 6 pieces of white soft finish cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.8 cm.
Step 2: Sprinkle some color burst on each. A tiny bit is more than enough.
Step 3: Spray some water on it and let it dry or dry it with the heat tool.
You can also create a background with the Watercolor palette from E.C.D.
Step 4: Give the edges a tan. I used distress ink crackling campfire. Stick it on a blank card of 10.5 x 14.8 cm or fold half a A4 sheet double. Give that a touch of color too.
Step 5: Cut a reindeer head from white soft finish cardstock and color it with distress ink (Crackling campfire or color of choice). Then sprinkle some Glaze embossing powder over top.
Step 6: Die cut Merry Christmas from white cardstock backed with clear double sided adhesive tape. Die cut on the side where the tape is so you get a slice on the right side. Carefully remove the backing of the tape and sprinkle silk microfine glitter over the words. I used Forest green. Polish your glitter with your finger and brush of any access.
Step 7: Adhere the reindeer head and the words on the front using glue and your card is done.
Good luck with your last Christmas cards this year!
I wish you a beautiful Christmas time and all the best for 2021.
That big cross by 2020, pffff, what a year this has been! I sincerely hope that for everyone the coming year things will get better. Maybe that’s why I’ve already created my 1st page for my planner for 2021.
With the new collection for the regular size planner I would almost forget that I also have the sidekick! And I like that format so much, just to schedule! So for next year I’m going to use my sidekick for making plans and my regular planner for memories.
For this page I used the beautiful paper of Esther’s Reminiscence, there are so many beautiful colors in it that it is useful for everything. For the page itself I used S.E. (Sidekick Essentials) 4. I also used S.E.1, S.E.3 and S.E.8 for the decoration.
Some details I edited with distress ink and glaze embossing powder in the color crackling campfire.
The decoration is also meant to be a bit playful, the little phone I added with the idea that I should call friends and family more often, to maintain the contact a bit more because I haven’t seen my family for almost a year now.
And the pawns, well, to also be a bit more playful/light-hearted to deal with the Corona rules, not to ignore them because that really can’t but occasionally someone may come to visit or I can visit them myself. I really miss the contacts with my friends and family.
Let’s hope this year is over soon!
Actually, I want to say, life is good but you have to hang the garlands yourself.
Maybe I should make that my life spell next year.
So the beginning in my planner for the new year has been made, good intentions? Hmmmm, I have to think about that. After all, I still have more than 6 weeks for that.
Oh Happy Day!! That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the new collection for the Planner Essentials. So many amazing new dies, it was hard to choose which one to use first because everything is equally fun. So quickly into my hobby loft!
This page I made with the Planner Essentials 28 – Globe, I love it!! The page itself has a very nice edge. The globe can be die cut in various ways. For this page I chose to punch the sphere out of the paper and then make a pocket with it. How I did that you can see in the pictures below.
The tickets in the pocket I made using Planner Essentials – 30 Wave pocket. I also used the nice sentiment die included in this set. The paper is from the new collection as well and called Reminiscence “the book”, so incredibly beautiful!!
The label is from an older set “Planner labels” and so are the reinforcements, although there is also a very nice new set with another 12 super fun new ones!
On the corner of the tag I made a mini pocket with the text where I can place the smaller tag behind. Ohh and those cute little birds, they’re also from Elizabeth Craft Designs (CS027 – Feathered Friends Clear Stamps).
And that’s how I made the pocket with the globe. First, I die cut the globe out of a piece of cardstock that is big enough to die cut a pocket with. Then I put about a third of the sphere with the circular die and take my pocket die to die cut.
I hope that I inspired you a little bit and that you will have as much fun with the new dies as I did!
December is here before we know it and to be well prepared I have already started making my date numbers for my December Daily.
I don’t know if I’m going to use them all as such but it is good to have some things prepared. And it is so much fun to do as well.
Nice little projects, although that doesn’t say anything about the time I’m working on it. Today I’m going to show you day one.
I’ve been messing around, making all 31 dates first and then I’ve gone to play. For this particular one I’ve used the Berry Branch die to decorate. Unfortunately Elizabeth Craft Designs doesn’t carry this one anymore however they do have a really pretty new berry branch that I will mention in the supply list below. I added some extra detail to the berries using True Red Silk Microfine Glitter.
If necessary I can stick another picture behind it, I don’t know how I’m going to use them yet but you’ll probably see them later in my December Daily.
I always put a note next to my workplace so I can write down what products I’ve used.
A few weeks ago I received my sidekick planner Olive, oh oh, oh, he’s beautiful!! I’m so happy with this planner. Green is one of my favorite colors and then with those beautiful gold speckles incorporated, so cool.
At the moment I’m very busy with a Halloween album but of course there had to be a page in this beautiful planner. I don’t know what I’m going to use this planner for yet, so I just got to work.
With the sidekick planner set 5 I created an extended page.
I’ve decorated the page with graphic 45 design paper, I haven’t added any photos yet but once I know were I’m going to use this planner for, It’s easy to add.
I also covered the back of the page and added a pocket. For the pocket I used Planner Essentials 26 Tags and Toppers.
I fussy cut some mushrooms from the design paper and placed them on the pocket.
I already think it’s a nice page for the coming spring or am I running really fast? 😉 😉
No Halloween without pumpkin. I love everything about them; the way they grow, the beautiful leaves, the curls and the enchanting flowers and then those delicious orange pumpkins, so beautiful!!
I’ve tried a few times to grow them in my garden, but I can’t get past the flowers. I think I’m doing something wrong. But also the flowers are beautiful so I buy the pumpkins in the shop or in the garden centre.
On this page no pictures of pumpkins because it’s not quite yet the season although I already saw beautiful plants in my area. Not in my yard this time.
Today again a little further with my Halloween calendar, day 3 of October.
The funny Dracula is from a set by Tim Holtz. Furthermore, only Elizabeth Craft Designs stamps and dies used.
The base is made with set 5 of the Sidekick planner, then I made a layer with die set 21 Note Pieces.
With a little stencil (own collection) I wrote the text Almost Halloween and stamped the text Hello Pumpkin. I will show you later how I did it.
I edited this text with black embossing powder.
The pumpkins stamps are from the ECD Halloween clear stamp set. I colored them with the watercolor palette set. Such beautiful colors! I made reinforcers out of the little pumpkins by giving them a hole with the Crop a dile, it looks like a big mouth 😉
I have to continue with my planner because October is getting pretty close!!
This is all I’ve used for this page.
I promised to show you how I stamped my sentiment. This is how I did it. Sometimes I don’t want to use the whole stamp but a part of it like here. This is a stamp from the Halloween collection “spooky sentiments”. The part I didn’t want to use I taped with washi tape. I then inked my stamp and just before stamping I removed the tape. You do have to work a little fast as otherwise your ink already dries up so make sure you have everything ready to go. I’ve stamped with Versafine, which last for quite a long time. Then I sprinkled embossing powder over it and heated it, then the stamp is even sharper and with a nice shine.
This is what I wanted to show you today. I hope I inspired you a little bit.
