Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my December To Remember Pocket

To create my December To Remember Pocket, I’ve used a variety of dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my pocket at home.

Step One. Choose a piece of Christmas patterned paper. From the Planner Essentials 30 – Wave Pocket Die, die cut the wave pocket from the patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of the pocket using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. From the Planner Essentials – Planner Pocket 2 die, die cut the circle wreath once out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Three. Die cut the deer from the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the entire surface of the deer. Ink the edges of the deer using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Four. From the Planner Essentials 13 – Xmas Winter Insert, die cut the trees out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and the Watercolor Palette, colour the trees as desired. Once the trees have dried, ink the edges of the trees using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Five. From the Planner Essentials – Reinforcement Pack 2, die cut two snowflake reinforcements out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Six. Die cut the tab from the Planner Essentials 44 – Folded Arrow Insert Die out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the tab using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. From the December Moments Stamp Set, you’ll need the December and To Remember labels. Apply Lucky Clover Distress Ink to the December label and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the To Remember label and stamp onto the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the two labels out. Ink the edges of both labels using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eight. Adhere the tab to the right side of the pocket before adhering. Adhere the sides of the bottom piece to create the pocket.

Step Nine. Adhere the snowflake reinforcements overtop of the two holes at the bottom of the pocket.

Step Ten. Adhere the tree line to the top portion of the pocket as desired.

Step Eleven. Adhere the circle wreath to the bottom right side of the pocket. Foam square the deer to the middle of the circle wreath.

Step Twelve. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the December To Remember labels to the left of the deer as desired.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my December To Remember Pocket at home.

Joyful Wishes

December 8, 2021
Hello Friends and welcome the Elizabeth Crafts Blog. Today I have a floral card to share with you, designed using some of my favorite floral dies

I started by die cutting leaves, and florals coloring them using Smoky Gray Versa Ink and Victorian Velvet Distress ink. The Lacy Leaf was cut from gray cards tock as was the fern from the Berries and Branches.

i added a touch of Victorian Velvet ink to the center of the leaves just for a bit of detail

I added some prills from my stash and dabbed a bit of snow paste on top, tucking in the lacy leaf and the fern to add more layers a few detail shots above and below.
I would love to see some of your beautiful cards designed using Florals 7, I hope you have enjoyed my card today.

Merry Christmas Card

December 5, 2021

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Merry Christmas Card.

To create my Merry Christmas Card, I’ve used a variety of dies from the Paper Flowers Collection as well as Joset Designs and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.

Step One. Choose two pieces of Christmas patterned paper. Die cut a 4″ Stitched Rounded Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 3 3/4″ Fitted Rounded Rectangle out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of each rectangle.

Step Two. Die cut a 3 1/2″ Stitched Rounded Rectangle out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Distress the edges of the rectangle.

Step Three. From a third piece of Christmas patterned paper, die cut a 2 1/4″ Stitched Circle from the Pizza Box Die. Distress the edges of the circle.

Step Four. From the Winter Words Stamp Set, you’ll need the Merry and Christmas words. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the words and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the two words into two strips.

Step Five. From the Winter Greens die, die cut the holly twice out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of each holly piece. Shape the leaves as desired.

Step Six. From the Winter Greens die, die cut the berry branch twice out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple Distress Ink over the entire surface of each berry branch.

Step Seven. From the Florals 11 die, you’ll need the large, medium, small and ruffled centres. Die cut the large flower once, the medium flower three times, the small flower three times and the centres twice out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Festive Berries Distress Ink over the entire surface of each flower. From the centres, you’ll need two small and one medium centre. Adhere the flowers together. Two of the flowers will have a medium and small flower as well as a small centre adhered together. The remaining flowers and centre will be adhered together. Shape the flowers as desired.

Step Eight. Adhere the 3 3/4″ rectangle to the 4″ rectangle. Adhere the 3 1/2″ rectangle to the 3 3/4″ rectangle.

Step Nine. Foam square the circle 3/8″ from the left and 1 1/4″ from the top of the 3 1/2″ rectangle.

Step Ten. Adhere the holly branch and berry branch to the bottom right side of the circle. Adhere the other holly branch and berry branch to the left of the perviously adhered holly branch and berry branch as desired.

Step Eleven. Use foam squares to adhere the large flower to the bottom middle of the circle. Foam square the remaining flowers to the right and left of the large flower.

Step Twelve. Adhere the Merry Christmas words to the circle as desired.

Step Thirteen. Cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4″ x 10 1/2″, score at 5 1/4″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Full-on sparkly Christmas cards

December 1, 2021

Hello everyone! It´s Sanna here again with my December card tutorial. I find that sparkly cards during the holiday season are the best choice – always. Therefore I have created a set of six card with the same basic idea today, just modifying the technique from one set to another just a little bit.

For the first card I used the Classic Christmas Special Kit and started with the background die. I applied Sea Glass and Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the background and then moved on to the creating the baubles.

On the baubles I used Violet, Diva and and Bright Grape Silk Microfine Glitter in combination with Yellow. I finished the baubles with Pewter bits. After finishing the baubles I added a stamped sentiment to the card using the stamp set that comes with the Classic Christmas Special Kit. For additinal decor and texture I added some Craft Drops to the baubles.

For my second card set I used the same idea, but applied all the glitter layers directly to a sheet of Clear Double Sided Adhesive and started with Spring Peridot tone for the background. Then I applied Bright Cranberry, Peony Pink, Copper Rose and Cool Diamond tones to the baubles one after another. First doing the red layers and then adding the white tone. I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment to the card and finished everything with Craft Drops again.

While I was at it, I did a blue-red-white-silver-toned card too. It´s all the same steps, just different glitter tones.

For my last set of three cards I used the same basic idea, but on a smaller piece of paper only creating one bauble per card. I changed the glitter tones on each card to create variation and die cut the bauble with the Dotted Scalloped Circle die. These are more clean and simple in style and much faster to finish, so they are easy to do in series. The sentiment is directly stamped onto the card base with black ink.

Here are a few more in single bauble ones in various colours. I also added plenty of Craft Drops to each of these cards to bring some contrast to them and to make the images pop even more.

To give you a better idea on how I made these cards, I´ve recorded a quite a long video. Hope you get inspired and play some with Silk Microfine Glitter and the Classic Christmas Special Kit. They truly are a perfect match!

As this will be my very last guest design team post, I would like to thank Els, Joset and the whole team for having me! It´s been truly a pleasure being part of the Elizabeth Craft Designs family for so many years. I´ve enjoyed every bit of it and will continue using their products in the future too. I hope to have inspired you all throught the years. If you want to see what I´ll be upto in the future, you can follow my blog and YouTube channel.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and lovely Holiday Season and thanks for a great time!!
xxx, Sanna

Gnomes and Holiday Trains

November 29, 2021

Karen here. I’m having so much fun with the new release from Joset. Today I made a couple simple and sweet holiday cards using the Gnomes and the Holiday Train die sets. Love putting together these designs from Joset. It reminds me of playing with paper dolls when I was a kid – so fun and relaxing!

To start these cards, I cut two card fronts from 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock. I also cut a 6″x6″ piece of patterned cardstock in a 4″ inch strip and a 2″ inch strip. I adhered them to the card fronts in a diagonal way. On one of them, I also cut a 3/4″ strip of Soft Finish Cardstock and stamped a sentiment on it from the stamp set in the Classic Christmas Set. For the other, I stamped the sentiment right on the card front. Then I die cut one with a Stitched Rounded Rectangle and the other with a Stitched Indented Rectangle die.

For the Gnome girl, I cut her dress and hat with red cardstock, and her shoes, collar and bows with green cardstock. I colored her skin with a Copic E00 and her hair with a Copic Y23. I added a few presents as embellishments. The hearts are also in the Gnomes dies, and I thought they were the perfect little addition in the corner.

The Holiday Train is cut with a combination of 90 lb Soft Finish Cardstock, green cardstock and Kraft Cardstock. (The darker brown has Distress Ink in Tea Dye added to it. The fun “trick” to making assembly easy is to add 101mm Double Sided Adhesive to the pieces that are on top. What a great way to turn the die cut into a sticker.

So easy; so fun. Thank you for stopping by today.

Craftily yours, Karen

Merry and Bright Christmas Card

November 28, 2021

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Merry and Bright Christmas Card.

To create my Merry and Bright Christmas Card, I’ve used a variety of dies and stamps from Joset Designs. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.

Step One. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″.

Step Two. From the Winter Scenery Die, you’ll need to cut the slim line snow piece out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Three. You’ll need the Merry & Bright sentiment from the stamp set out of the Classic Christmas Kit. Apply Emboss It Ink to the stamp and stamp in the middle of the 3 1/4″ rectangle piece. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powders over the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Step Four. From the Classic Christmas Kit, choose three of the snowflakes. Die cut each snowflake once out of a piece of white shimmer cardstock.

Step Five. From the Winer Scenery Die, die cut one large tree, one medium tree and two small trees out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of each tree.

Step Six. From the Winter Scenery Die, die cut the moose out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Gathered Twigs Distress Ink over the bottom portion of the moose. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Tea Dye Distress Ink over the antlers of the moose.

Step Seven. Place the snow slim line piece over top of the 3 1/4″ rectangle. Adhere the large tree in behind the slim line piece as desired on the left hand side. Adhere a small tree to the right of the large tree on the snow slim line piece.

Step Eight. With the snow slim line piece still over top of the 3 1/4″ rectangle. Adhere the moose to the right hand side of the 3 1/4″ rectangle close to the bright word. Adhere the medium tree in behind the slim line piece as desired on the right hand side. Adhere a small tree to the left of the medium tree on the snow slim line piece.

Step Nine. Adhere the snow slim line piece to the 3 1/4″ rectangle piece.

Step Ten. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 7″ x 8 1/2″, score at 3 1/2″. Adhere the cadfront to the cardbase.

Step Eleven. To finish the card, splatter Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain on the card with a paint brush as desired.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my Merry and Bright Christmas Card at home.

Tis the Season

November 19, 2021

Hello friends, it’s Sandy Diller here with you today. I have a fun card using the adorable new Gnomes. I just can’t get enough of them. Today the Gnomes are busy decorating the trees for Christmas Day. Sometimes things just don’t seem to go the way we plan and we get all tangled up.

This is a 5″ X 7″ easel card so I began by cutting my Soft Finish Cardstock 7″ X 10″ with a crease in the center and then another crease at 2.5″ to make it an easel. A decretive strip was added to the bottom edge of the card. I used Christmas lights since I was planning to have my Gnomes all tangled in lights.

The decorative strip will end up on the inside of the card as shown here.

Using the Dotted Background die – it was inked and added to the top front of the card. Next came the snow bank using the Slimline Adventure Edges.

An additional snow bank was created and creased 1/2″ from the top and added to the bottom panel. When the card is opened the snow bank will hold the front panel in position.

Now it’s time to have some Gnome fun! The little guy shown above was assembled as usual but then creased so he would appear to be sitting in the snow. Because he has to fit inside the card when it is closed it was necessary to fold his little hat to fit. Then Christmas lights were added using the lights found in the new Train Carts die set.

This Gnome buddy was assembled using the new Gnomes die set. This set has so many possibilities for making the Gnomes doing different activities. In this one I put the arms out holding the string of lights. This set also includes the bulbs that you see in the final card. So much fun!!

To finish this card off I got out some trees for the Gnomes to decorate. The extra strings of lights were created using the strings for the balloon set.

Thank you so much for stopping by – I will see you soon,

Sandy

The Christmas train

November 18, 2021

Hii Everyone! Today I’m back with a new blogpost with some new dies from Joset. I’m totally in love with this collection, it has so many possibilities.

It is the perfect time to sit down with some Christmas music or a Christmas movie and play with all these dies.

For this slimeline card I started with a base and some Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. Above this base I adhere the dotted background (1927). Isn’t it a beautiful slimeline dies?

I started with the Holiday Train (1923). I used the Soft Finish Cardstock and Distress Ink.

At the back of the paper I adhere the Double Sided Adhesive. Some parts are really small so this works better for me.

The carts are also new dies from Joset. The number of this dies is: 1924. You can build these carts up like you want. With presents or candy or anything you want.

The small cart is filled with a tree in a present. This tree is from The Winter Scenery (1926). I coloured everything with Distress Ink but you can also use some cardstock of other materials. Just play with it.

Hopefully you like this blogpost and like this collection as much as I do.

Thankyou for reading!

Kind Regards Lisanne

Merry & Bright Mini Album

November 10, 2021

Hello Friends and welcome to the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog. It is Karan Gerber here sharing a project with you. Today I have a mini album to share with you. I designed this using the Florals 12 on the cover along with the Indented Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Fishtails. The inside boosts a few more of my favorites and I hope you enjoy.

The papers are from Stamperia – Classic Christmas. I love the vintage feel to the images in this collection and they were perfect for photo flips throughout the album.

Inside cover and first page. I free hand drew the curves pockets on the inside front cover and used the Indented Rectangles as photo mats throughout the album.

Page 2 and 3 – Indented Rectangles used again for photo flips.

Above I used Planner Essentials 16 and created a pocket from that large tree. Photo mats will fit in there. Same with the Small Villages on page 5. Photo mats will slip in under the houses and trees on that page.

For pages 6 and 7 I used the Stitched Indented Rectangles for the front of a side pocket.

For he last page and inside back cover I used the Stitched Circles and Indented Rectangles. Lots of gold mirri paper was used throughout.

I am attaching some detail photos of the cover for you. I hope you have enjoyed my project share for you today.
