Fall Flower Lace Frame Card

Fall Flower Lace Frame Card

Hi everyone! It’s Elena today. Fall is almost upon us so I wanted to try creating a brightly-colored fall card using the very intricate Flower Lace Frame from ModaScrap. I have added colored paper behind these kinds of dies before but never with hand shading coloring and I wanted to see what would happen. The result reminds me of Talavera or Majolica pottery with the bright colors, spacing between motifs and the overall pattern. What do you think? Here’s how I made the card: Continue Reading

Stripes Background and Simple Masking

August 16, 2018

Hello! Samantha here – Today I’m sharing a card I created that came about simply by stamping a background stamp. I tend not to use pattern paper as much as I used to, but I do love a good versatile background stamp. Elizabeth Craft Designs have a few background stamps that I have used (a few times now) to create my own patterned paper. Once I had stamped my background the idea developed to use a masking technique to create ink blended features using Birthday Sentiments and the co-ordinating Labels 1 Die.

Summery Sand Castle Pop-Up Card

Hi, it’s Elena today. Is it just me or are the days flying by this summer? Christmas card making time is creeping up on me, but I wanted to take a moment to celebrate summer before it’s over with a pop-up card featuring the Sand Castle die set from Joset van de Burgt. The set is so cute, and believe it or not this pop-up card is easy to put together and doesn’t take that long to make. Here’s how I created it: Continue Reading

Miss You

July 16, 2018

Hello Welcome! Samantha here sharing a card I created using two of my favourite Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. One of the things I love about dies is how easy and simple they are to work with. I had originally planned to colour the leaves in, but after colouring one in with Copic Markers I realised that it would take quite a decent amount of time and that I could achieve an equally striking and bright look by using some scrap left over pieces of cardstock that I have in my stash. Fun In The Sun Shaker Card

Fun In The Sun Shaker Card

Hello! It’s Elena today with a Fun in the Sun Shaker Card. I was able to capture (I hope) the essence of summer with a bright color palette of turquoise, yellow, orange, red and white along with great stamped images from the Sun & Surf clear stamp set. Although it is a “happy summer” card, you could easily adapt it as a birthday card, especially for a teen or a guy who likes to surf.  Continue Reading
