Beautiful Sidekick Planner Page

June 25, 2020

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Beautiful Sidekick Planner Page.

To create my Beautiful Sidekick Planner Page, I’ve used a variety of dies from the Sidekick and Planner Essentials Collection as well as a couple of dies from Joset Designs and the Art Journal Specials Collection. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my sidekick planner page at home.

Step One. Die cut the page from the Sidekick Essentials 3 die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Sprinkle Magenta Nuance in Turquoise, Jade and Rosebud on the page as desired. Spritz the powder with water. Once dry, ink the edges of the page using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Two. Choose one of the reinforcements from the Reinforcement Variety Pack. Die cut the reinforcements out of kraft cardstock. You’ll need a total of six reinforcements. Ink the edges of the reinforcements using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Three. Die cut the Bubbles die out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Cut the bubbles down to a piece that is 2 3/4″ wide.

Step Four. From the Blooming Branches die, die cut each branch out of a piece of book page.

Step Five. Die cut the heart branch from the Planner Essentials 25 – Double Heart Insert out of Spring Green Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Six. Die cut the Beautiful Banner from the Sidekick 7 die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. I didn’t use the positive pieces on the final page. Ink the edges of the banner using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Seven. Choose three pieces of patterned paper that all coordinate together. From the first patterned paper, die cut the small note piece from the Planner Essentials 21 – Note Pieces die. From the second patterned paper, die cut the small note piece again. From the third patterned paper piece, die cut the curved stitched rectangle out of it. Ink the edges of all three pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eight. You’ll need two more patterned papers that go with the previous three. From the first patterned paper, die cut a 3/4″ Stitched Diagonal Fishtail. From the second patterned paper, die cut a 3/8″ Stitched Diagonal Fishtail. Ink the edges of both pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Nine. Die cut the slotted rectangle from the Sidekick Essentials 5 die out of a piece of vellum.

Step Ten. Choose one more patterned paper that goes with the previous patterned papers. Die cut the stitched rectangle from the Sidekick Essentials 8 out of the patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step Eleven. Adhere the reinforcements over top of the circles on the page. Adhere the slotted vellum rectangle piece 7/8″ from the left and 7/8″ from the bottom of the page.

Step Twelve. Adhere the 3/8″ fishtail to the 3/4″ fishtail. Adhere the 3/4″ fishtail 1 3/8″ from the right and 5/8″ from the bottom of the page. Adhere the bubbles to the middle of the slotted rectangle.

Step Thirteen. Adhere one of the small note pieces to the right hand side of the stitched rectangle, making sure 1/4″ is still visible. Foam square the stitched rectangle 7/8″ from the left and 1 3/4″ from the top of the page. Adhere the other note piece 1 1/8″ from the left and 2″ from the top of the page. Adhere the curved rectangle 1 3/4″ from the left and 2 3/8″ from the top of the page.

Step Fourteen. Adhere the two book page branches as desired to the middle of the note piece and curved rectangle. Adhere the heart branch to the middle of the other two branches. Foam square the beautiful banner 7/8″ from the left and 1 5/8″ from the bottom of the page.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my Beautiful Sidekick Planner Page.

Good morning! Laura here today to share another wedding layout I created for my beautiful nieces upcoming wedding!

To create this layout:
Step 1 – distress the edges of a 12×12 sheet of paper
Step 2 – trim one sheet of paper to 11.5 x 11.5 and distress the edges then adhere it t o the 12×12 sheet
Step 3 – trim a sheet of coordinating paper to 5×12 and cover both sides with clear gesso and allow to dry.
Step 4 – using the Make Your Mark Stencil – using the heart part of the stencil and texture paste – stencil it at the top of the 5×12 sheet of paper
Step 5 – using Fire Opal silk microfine glitter and black embossing powder and sprinkle both on the texture paste. Remove excess then heat set with your heat gun – repeat at the bottom of this page.

Step 6 – distress the edges then adhere to the previous pages in the center
Step 7 – die cut 2 large 1/2 hearts (making sure you have one die cut opposite to the first one so you can put them together to make one large heart) using the Planner Essentials 20 set
Step 8 – die cut two of the smaller size hearts also making sure to die cut one inverted so you can make one heart) from the same set. Distress the edges of all four pieces
Step 9 – adhere smaller heart to larger heart making sure to line up the holes.
Step 10 – using coordinating ribbon, lace the holes at the top (if you are using a smaller then 6×4 photo or if your photo is vertical rather then horizontal repeat this step at the bottom of the heart)
Step 11 – adhere the hearts to page then create a bow and adhere to the top of where you laced
Step 12 – cut a double photo mat for your photo and adhere

Step 12 – Die cut the title also from the planner essentials 20
Step 13 – die cut and assemble 5 flowers using your favorite ECD flower dies. Dip each petal in a little bit of glue then in the Fire Opal glitter. If desired add a pearl to the center of each flower.
Step 14 – Die cut two of heart Blooming Branches and using the red craft drops dot the flowers and hearts
Step 15 – adhere all those pieces

Step 16 – Die cut the a large and small heart dangel from the Planner Essential 25. Die cut it again if you did not use double sided paper so the heart is of different paper.

Step 17 – add gold Craft Drops, and beads around the layout

Thanks so much for stopping by!
